  1. I had Pilot Sport 1s and they're an excellent tyre. My mate now runs PS2s on his M3 and he loves them, and all the reviews say they're awesome. we have a 330i with PS2s on it and they're heaps quieter than the Continental Conti Sport 2s that they replaced, and very progressive when letting go. can't wait to try them on the big bastard 32gtr. Fedex does things by the book, so it's a good chance you'll get done by duty/gst. I got a call from Fedex saying that they'll advise the gst payable shortly... I haven't driven on the yokies so don't really know how they go c/f to the RE55s
  2. the tyre will eventually wear through the guard liner (or at worst catch and rip it off, potentially breaking the mounting points) some people have worked the guard liner with a heat gun and made a bit more clearance, others have just removed it all together. I like it there as it keeps road noise down a bit (when throwing pebbles into the guards) and also protects the inner guards a bit. best thing is to ask someone with a similar size on a 33 and ask them - andrew (ferni) or jack (jagr33) has some wide 18s on their 33s - maybe PM them?
  3. mmm sour pineapples... I mean grapes.... tasty. courtesy of Trent's website HERE
  4. good picture from the vicroads website. foggy windscreen P-plate in a (potentially) obscuring position. good work vic roads
  5. it'll just be the guard liner. are you running lots of castor?
  6. all gtrs (excluding N1) had projectors. this is the early gtr one http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&id=168480 this is the later one (post 92?) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&id=168479 this is the same as the top one, with a non genuine projector and a plastic flat front cover instead of glass http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&id=168481
  7. oops i didn't know about that. what a stupid idea...

mate have you got the GTR manual? should be a piece of piss with that ...
  9. fark i hope you got that puke off quick smart. stomach acid can't do nice things for paint...
  10. The "hotel" is ELOC - EastLink Operations & Control centre
  11. i will shortly have a set of 245/40/18 RE55s less than 1000km old, less than 1yr old, for sale (when my new tyres arrive) come get a bargain! lol PM me
  12. nah i don't think you need GTR hubs. i have a pair of 32gtr rear calipers if you're interested
  13. I run 8(F) and 6® in my street 32gtr. Even that is pretty firm. the original are something like 3(f) and 2.8®... I had 12/10 in there and on the street that was just horrible - all it does is mask a crap shock by not allowing the suspension to actually travel For street I'd stick to say 6 and 5/4.
  14. i took out an ORC twin because it thought it was shit on the street... when it came out after 1000km it was literally still perfect. i replaced it with a Nismo twin which is sweet and smooth like honey lol
  15. agreed - that's why I'm changing to Michelin road tyres
  16. i believe the FTA applies to goods 'originating' from the US - ie made there. Any manufactured product that includes imported inputs must be substantially transformed in Australia or the United States before it can benefit from the Agreement. otherwise the $1000 cap applies
  17. I think it's under $1K AUD that is duty free. ps I'm Marcus Dane, yeah this tyre retailer doens't sell RE55s but I'm sure you can get them. You could always go Michelin Pilot Sport Cups
  18. i've just ordered a set of tyres from the US... I'm sick of being fleeced by the Aussie retailers (who in defence are being fleeced by the distributors). I've ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s in 255/35/18 4 for a total of ~1500 US$. Now even with duty and customs ~20%, call it $2000 aussie dollars. The quote I've gotten from a few retailers here are between $750-900 per tyre! They're made in france, then sent to either the US or AUS. How is there such a big difference??? reason for my rant, LotusGTR, you may want to check out the semis that you can get out of the states - eg yokohama A048 from the place I odered: www.tirerack.com
  19. well get out there and take some - schnell! schnell! please
  20. would a 32 cat back fit? you should stick your head underneath and have a look, west
