problem is its still bloody cold in melb! i will have a better look tomorrow, and if so get it on a dyno to check out the actual measured pressure... maybe the gauge is off. It should be pretty reliable though - it is a Trust gauge; even if it is off it shouldn't be off by 0.2bar!

Hey, Does anyone have the part numbers for the three auxillary drive belts on the front of the RB25det ? ie. aircon, powersteering, alternator (i think). Where can you get them as well? Are they a generic belt available at repco etc etc? Thanks for the help.

The guy at autobarn told me that it would be really difficult to find a mast for an import skyline, so i just went with a generic kind of mast and tried it out. The mast fit fine - the little ball on the top sticks out about 5mm higher. My car is a '95 series 1 front, but as i understand it is right at the changeover to series 2. It shouldn't matter though. The hardest thing is getting the antenna locking ring off if you don't have the 2 pronged thingy (!), and when you open up the mechanism everything flies out.

Im using Lightweight Shockproof (Redline) oil. I've done about 600kays on it and it is starting to run really smooth, i really recommend it. Also, i've said it before, if you can't get the filler bung undone, pull out the speedo sender relay about 10cms behind the filler bung and fill the gearbox from there. PS Jay, done the diff yet?

Yep, i have heard that the coil packs can overheat, and it is good to remove the 'Nissan 2500' plastic cover... though i haven't done it yet

I tried searching, but found nothing specific. My car is a '95 R33 GTS-t with: I have a full system exhaust from dump back 3" to 4" post cat, and a air pod. Took the car out for a spin tonight (real cold in melb, like 5 degrees) and my boost gauge read just under 1 bar. Everything else is stock. Isn't that a bit high? thats close to 14psi without bleed etc etc. What else do your cars read, and is this safe?

If it doesn't work, get a new mast. I just installed one today and it is sweet. Aerpro model AP-12 or something... just a bit of effort to get the antenna out and change the mast/rope... $30 bucks from Autobarn.

yep, thats the one i just got and put in... actually just finished putting a new mast into my power aerial too... i will post some piccys when i get my hands on a digital cam!

I cant remember if i was reading a magazine or a thread here that someone mentioned that it was rarely the pistons that go; more likely to be rods due to more concentrated force/unit area? SydneyKid?

looks like a very tight squeeze... but mmm, it looks horn, probably sounds and goes like stink too in stock RB26 trim
