  1. Hey there, After an exhaust shop who is KNOW TO BE ABLE TO DO V-BAND EXHAUST JOINS... I need to get a cat for my exhaust that has a standard 3 bolt flange on one end and a v-band on the other to match up to my Trust system - i don't really want to hack off the v-band join on a $1200 exhaust
  2. Funky, i make t shirts. Let me know if we can help - my label is 'i/o style' www.iostyle.com.au umm, but the site is not up yet... lol here is one of our tees:
  3. The 'big block' 3.5 straight six is more of an effort to fit compared to a 2.5 twin cam or 2.3-3L from a later E46. The block of the 'small block' inline 6 hasn't really changed in the last 20 years (virtually the same external dimensions), so it is much easier to drop in with minor crossmember mods etc. By memory all that is needed is a sump modification - it wil fit with stock engine mounts. The 3.5 is also a fair bit heavier, whereas the twin cams from the later E36 on are only marginally heavier and will not disrupt the balance as much. They will more or less match the older big block single cam straight sixes for power, but less torque. I would seriously stick to the small block twin cam six from a later car. Make sure you check out the BM Auto Engineering website i posted above - they have done E36 M3 engine / gearbox transplants into E30s and they fly...
  4. yep i agree with that. i have a full system, no bleeder and run 10.5psi natural increase.
  5. just thought of something, drop an M50 or M52 engine in it - twin cams from the later E36 models - bolt right in and you get instant power... get your hands on a M3 engine and unleash hell!
  6. How much do you want to spend? A good friend of mine has a TT Soarer, green, auto that is farkin sweet: -18" x 10 deep dish Veilside rims -HKS adjustable suspension -HKS cat back I think he is looking for around 22 for it; it is a top car These are the rims i wanted to pilfer off him but they don't fit a GTSt
  7. don't pull any of the packing out of the muffler. And stop putting 'lucky cups' and other objects (!) into your exhaust.
  8. do the R33 mirrors work with the rear window demister? I didn't know that... sweet.
  9. Forget it, too expensive. I had a E30 ('85) 323i rebuilt as as 2.8L. The thing is if you want a RB, you'll have to change the tranny and diff too - i popped 4 diffs. Get a 3 series inline 6 second hand, drop it in with the box and diff and turbo it. It wil boogie. Heres some links for you: http://www.bmauto.iinet.net.au/ http://www.bavariacars.com.au/ http://www.kormanfastbmw.com/ http://www.bmwe30.net/ I miss my E30 beemer and heres a pic
  10. damn those lada wheels are sweet, wanna sell them? ummm... and personal plates on the lada? Priceless. Hope you get your baby back soon and better that ever.
  11. Average? any holden should be scared lol
  12. It is deemed an intake modification.
  13. Max, http://202.139.242.57/ - unique autsports stealth wing $340. Am looking at getting one too.
  14. that is seriously confused. Sure that wasn't made with a spirograph? ...sorry. But it is a weird graph. Use search, and look for 'dyno' - there are may of the guy's dyno sheets on here and you'll probably be able to find a 32 GTR dyno sheet somewhere to compare it to
  15. nah, just wondering if you can change names, thats all - without resetting all your settings and subscribed threads etc etc
  16. New name Russ? Why?
  17. not sure where yet - nah my mechanic works at Honda
  18. My mechanic has a mate who is organising a track day for his friends.... i'm inviting myself along but i don't think he'd like it very much if i said "hi, here i am with a bunch of mates" sorry inasnt
  19. Thanks for the replies guys. I basically want more dry traction (i don't punt THAT hard in the wet) without going to a wider rim (too expensive). For the money, i think the 540s are pretty good - i can get them for around 180 each in a 225/50 16. Does anyone have any idea how long they will last if street driven as well? I would be thinking around 5000 - 8000km - any experience would be really grateful.
  20. you'd better get good at talking prices down in Japan, so you can send us japanse go fast bits from there!!
  21. yeah i think thats the clutch slave cylinder...
  22. tehehe... sorry pred.
  23. Lethal - greenline URL? I was looking at Nengun too - for the future of course
  24. I've been considering using them as a street tyre too, as i want more traction without getting fats and new rims. I just need a wet driving account, as i don't want to kill myself if it rains.
  25. Has anyone used a semi slick Potenza 540 or similar Dunlop cut slick? what are they like in the wet? What are they like wear wise? I'm heading to a track meet and am thinking of getting a set on a second set of stock 16's
