  1. ok ok, SMGII caught him napping. Also, didn't use 'launch control' - did you know that if you use it 5 times (the OBC records it) it will void the warranty?? It is in the Users manual...
  2. I ran my mate in his new M3 (stock) in my R33, and there was nothing in it... gotta love that. Is Don is good @ Evo R.
  3. Err, Jet, anyone?? Bueller? As above, interested in rotors, indicators and pillar mount.... email or PM [email protected]
  4. I'm not sure you'd want to anodise the inside of the cooler though; how fine are the fins inside?
  5. i'm in...
  6. All you Sydney boys (and girls) should feel pretty lucky; The Line in Melbourne is basically zero tollerance... My mate lost his licence straight out after being pulled over by a divvy van. He was doing 98 in a 60, which he knew he shouldn't have been, but the cops gave him a hard time, generally adding to the trauma. Be thankful that they weren't pricks about it!
  7. Jet, interested in rotors, indicators and pillar mount... possibly Power FC. PM me.
  8. Aluminium doesn't corrode, because when exposed to atmosphere (air) it oxidizes (kinda rusts) pretty much straight away, preventing corrosion; it forms its own protective layer. When you anodise aluminium, you use a electrical current and an acid (i seem to reacall) to increase the thickness of this protective layer. When this has been done the protective layer is porous, and can be dyed, any colour you want... So you could have a pink FMIC, if that floats your boat Not sure how much it would cost to do, and if they can just anodise the outside... i'd guess it wouldn't be cheap! oh, and it shouldn't affect the performance of the FMIC at all (paint will, as it fills the small bits of the cooler with paint)
  9. Aha, anodising whould be a good idea, i forgot about that. Cheers, ed
  10. Has anyone had their FMIC painted matt black? I am looking at a FMIC but want it to be inconspicuous (yeah, yeah, driving a skyline and all!). Does this greatly affect efficiency of the intercooler?
  11. Evolution R is good, but pretty expensive (Unit A2, 2A Westall Rd, Adamco Business Park, Clayton 9543 6255) Or try Ice performance, i had my clutch put in there and they're really good... address is at: www.iceperformance.com.au -m By the way, if you are getting a pod filter, TRUST Airnx are REALLY loud; they sound like a mega blow off valve when you back off the throttle. It gets kinda annoying, i had a K&N on my old car which sounded sweet but wasn't as loud...
  12. I'm in... just got a Trust cat back and Airnx filter, hopefully my front pipe should be here by then! Let us know if anyone drops out -marcus
  13. what did the turbo cost you? new or second hand?

Turtle, it is a bit low, but i have no problems on speed bumps so far coz my car is stock ride / stock wheels. Leewah, hopefully i won't have to visit the EPA with the baffle in, but if i do i'd better find a friend with a silver series 1 GTS-t
  18. I've heard that you should leave the plastic coil pack cover off the engine as it can overheat the coils causing problems... anyone else heard this? could it be bucket's problem?

Can't have done 108dB with the baffle in... its not that loud... without would be at least 108dB... I also have a TRUST Airnx and that is LOUD... Going to the nearest underground carpark tomorrow and causing some havoc!

So i've just got my exhaust... only the cat back section at the moment; the front pipe is on its way. It is a 4" TRUST Power Evolution, basically straight through all the way (there is a pic on the last page i think). It is loud. Witout the baffle i couldn't drive around; it was so bloody noisy. Has an awesome note though; without the baffle sounded like a racer. With the baffle in (after 1 day) it is not too bad, but will still be a fair bit above the legal limit i'd guess... Akeenan, must be the same one you had. Posted some pics too -m
  23. Yeah, you'd think that a servo would have the right globes... it wasn't the ones in my car that were backwards, it was the ones i bought! After rewiring all my brake lights... the servo is going to get it. I'm getting my 2 bucks back!
  24. Does anyone know where i can get brake/park globes in one (melbourne) for R33 Skylines? I went to a servo and got a tailight and the bloody import lights are backwards; when the brake is pressed the park comes on and when the park lights are on the brake light is on. I talked to repco and they don't have a 'backwards' type light globe... should i just rewire my tail lights? -m
