    mine was intermittent too. sometimes I'd lose 4wd after 5 mins, sometimes after 15 secs. it'll be the pump/electrics in that one module under the diff...

    18 ETS pressure switch or circuit I had that problem on my 32GTR 2 x second hand 4wd hydraulic pumps (the one under the rear diff - look like two beer cans stuck together) later, and it's fixed...

    i don't know if it's got a "U" inside it, but probably not - it's not that long. they built it for the car last year - previously it had a 3.75" Trust Power Evolution II that did over 105db... nasty.
