  1. pfft go the 32
  2. yep, my bet was front inner guard. i have 7 deg castor on the gtr and it scrubs the inner
  3. umm... you can't really over tighten it too much anyway. consider what happens when you stamp your foot and the master cylinder presses hard up against the brace? the master goes into compression against the brace!
  4. back from the dead!! baron did you ever get one of these? I need a cover!!
  5. sorry roy i gave your motor $200 more credit than it's worth. poor little RB20...
  6. i would check your 'source' that's a $800 motor in there...
  7. Go MCLF1
  8. mate there's that many wrecked GTRs, there will be a wrecker somewhere that has a complete rear cradle. it's a matter of whether they can be farked pulling it out for you...
  9. actually the Jetta is awesome value my old man has one and is heaps nicer than the Euro inside... 4 body boot too...
  10. something you might want to think about with semis on the street too - they have a fair bit more rolling friction, so your fuel consumption will go up too... when coasting down from 110 to say 60, it happens a lot faster with the semis...
  11. agree with roy - tune is as important as a good build. i would say that anyone who has the right specs for the torque values, and all machining is done right, can assemble a motor well. Hell, I reckon with the right tools and enough time I could put together a motor that will hold together perfectly well. It's things like custom oil control, sump mods etc that I don't know how to do, nor know exactly what to do... that's what you're paying for. then a nice conservative tune with not too much heat (as roy has said), tuned for mid range power, will see you happy for a long time. mine has 2680s on it and makes around 340rwkw on a stock motor and drives great - on the street i don't need anything over 6000rpm.
  12. true. i'm not so smart...
  13. hmmm that sounds like a good one. and I'll get his driver's licence etc i guess... Roy and Baron, thanks for the useful suggestions lol
  14. nark you scare me sometimes lol
  15. we have both GTR weekends Euro everywhere else. Euro is awesome - comfortable, quiet, heated seats (sweet). Only thing is i think it is over damped and a little crashy. It does what it is supposed to do - be a comfortable, easy to drive auto with enough power and steers well enough such that you don't try and drive it into a ditch. Plenty of space (rear seats could be a bit roomier), big boot, split fold seats. A little heavy on petrol on city cycle, but when we went 4-up down the beach we got almost 700kms to a tank - think it was around 6.8L/100kms... pretty impressive for a 2.4 @ 110 most of the way. The GTR does a nice 16L/100kms. All depends on what you want to do with the car. Hope that helps
  16. dont worry about it until it breaks... at least that's what i'm doing :| btw - crap, Jack forgot to call you back!!! will buzz you tomorrow
  17. question for you guys and girls - i'm looking at a newly privately imported skyline/silvia but it hasn't been complied yet. if i pay a deposit to the seller, what is the best way of ensuring that they won't fark off with my $$ when they are 'compliancing' it? cheers all
