  1. Sent you a text elliot - after the driver's side front hub/knuckle. thanks, marcus
  2. You really write some crap mate. no you don't need cams. There are plenty of 350+ kw motors in vic that make as much midrange and top end without cams. have you ever taken off the dumps? then how would you know that "do not see why you need to remove the turbos to fit"? you could probably do it without the turbos coming off, if you've got monkey hands and have plenty of time to fcuk arse around. The turbos on my car have been off twice - once to change the dumps, once to change the turbos. Both guys have told me it is next to impossible to work in there. There is a lot of swearing involved. Please stop posting "advice" until you have some concrete evidence, not just your 'guess'.
  3. hey mate on the Pioneer website the iPod control module is $199RRP... where can you get control for $34?

  5. cracked all bleeders every which way. Used the correct new pivot... haven't tried the syringe method at the slave nipple - will give it a go. have bled at hte intermediate block too... It's such a simple but of hydraulics, can't see why it doesn't work!! My money's now on a farked slave... thanks for all the replies, keep them coming
  6. no mate, a bit more than that. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=93963 you should consider doing something with the 33 lights - they are SHITHOUSE - i remember my old 33gtst couldn't daze a cat in the headlights. do an HID conversion, or even better... sell the WHALE and buy a 32!! :laughing-smiley-014:
  7. Dan, They're on, they fire up and look good. just need to take some pics now of them and the cut off
  8. It is an issue with your insurer - simply they are not doing a good enough job. Write a letter and say that you need the car for work, etc, and that it is not good enough that they are not managing the repair for you - you are doing it yourself. Demand a hire car until it gets fixed. Put it in writing so that you can have record of it should you need to go to arbitration etc Threaten to tow the vehicle at their expense to another repairer of your choice if it is not rectified promptly - on the basis that you have no faith in the JustCar recommended repairers. Threaten to invoke the ombudsman to examine the claim and the repairer. I'm sorry to say this (as I know that lots of people are insured with JCI) but *some* of their 'authorised repairers' (that i've had dealings with) are so shifty that the redefine the meaning- second hand parts, reco'd parts, rubbish repairs with crap paint. You get what you pay for, and JCI have done their risk analysis to insure high risks - and as a result pay out as little as they can to make the most margins.
  9. freeplay at the fork is fork all (sorry) no action at the slave for the first 3/4 of the pedal stroke, then small movement for the last 1/4 pedal stroke - bugger all force exherted by slave though.

  11. not vic roads fault - it's your RWC issuer. it's like saying at the bank - "well the digits are one out on the account but i'd still like to draw funds out of it. thanks" GOI.
  12. Hello guys Spent last night trying to bleed the clutch for AGES. It's an early R32GTR with a push clutch. The best that we could do (sure I am useless by this is with Troy - ylwgtr2 - who knows what he's doing) was to get the pedal to firm up at the bottom 1/4 of the stroke. The link adjustment in the pedal area are right. We pulled off and disassembled the master and slave cylinders - the bores all look good, as do the seals. As far as we could we bench tested the cylinders and they both hold good (air) pressure. What we end up with is the bottom 1/4 of stroke actioning a very small amount of the slave - and with fark all force pushing the pin. Funny that when we block off the banjo we get a firmer pedal throughout… which leads me to believe it is 1. a farked slave 2. air in the system However, our testing shows the slave should be OK, and we bled SO MUCH fluid it's not funny. We're talking 1.5L for just the clutch… Also, cannot be the lines, as there is no leak anywhere. Lines just hold pressure, and are in excellent condition. New Ogura Racing Twin clutch installed. Note that it will not be the clutch that is the issue as we don't have force at the pin to push the fork. So, questions - 1. has anyone had this issue, and what did you do to fix it? 2. I remember that bleeding the clutch previously was a bastid… is there a order to bleed and what is it? I think we tried every which way 3. why are we getting good pressure at the bottom 1/4 of the stroke? 4. can it be something to do with the actuator that pushes the master from the pedal?? We measured it and it should be contacting the master cylinder piston just fine. Any help appreciated, though I've ordered a new master and slave ($$$). cheers
  13. Hotplates - sorry for the late reply. contact Z Couriers - speak to Daniel 03 8695 5517 cheers
  14. i give you $5 for the "njhkhjklhlk" advertised in the title.
  15. i reckon that if you are going to do the dump pipes, might as well do the turbos at the same time. they are painful (at least everyone who has touched mine tells me so). and if you are not too concerned with shelling out a few more $$, I would do the turbos now anyway (unless you're planning a forged bottom end sometime soon). $2500 now or $4000 (at least) for a bottom end + new turbos anyway makes sense to me.
  16. or a 32GTR for that matter!!
  17. how about 044s?
