  1. hmm didn't know that. hmm based on?
  2. I'll have it.
  3. Roy has used them
  4. I would stick to coating the outside of the exhaust cover and manifold... As much as they guarantee the material will stick to the metal, I have no doubt over time that it will delaminate from the part. I don't like the idea of little pieces of ceramic coating heading through my exhaust wheel...
  5. actaully something that may be useful (though this is a compeltely fcuking stupid thread) I don't think that the plastic AFM was designed to be pressurised to 20+ psi, heated and cooled etc so it's probably not the best thing in the long run to use it after the cooler. Plastic becomes brittle... When the cooler piping lets go, I know where that will happen. For example - when was the last time you saw plastic intercooler pipes either OEM or aftermarket? (not talking about silicon hosing)
  6. so which boss do i need for an early (91) model??
  7. Roy's been at it again... (joking)

  14. why would you put a worshop sticker on your car if it had nothing to do with the car?? oh... i get it now... 11ty billion additional kW added per Japanese tuning store sticker!!!
  15. Are you in Melb Heath? there is an absolute mint Aussie one near me in the Hawthorn area. If it's the one I'm thinking it is VERY neat and original. PM sent...
  16. once he gets the calipers off my car then we can try it...
  17. if the cam covers are from GTR i will take them. thanks
  18. I'll pick em up from you shan... are you ever in the city during the week???
  19. nah, that's not quite right. you want a 325e with the eta crank and bottom end that gives 2.7L, then the 235i head for better flow. O/size pistons and you've got a 2.8 that actually revs to 7K unlike the 325e that died at around 5K. That's what my white one in the post above had in it (and a reground cam, etc etc)
  20. shit I'm wrong... will update the post above
  21. That's the motor, they have the same cast iron block as the '83-'91 E30 sixes, but have a twin cam head and better flow capabilities. By memory the 83-91 SOHC is called an M20, the 91-97(ish) E36 DOHC sixes are called M52. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M20 http://www.bmwworld.com/engines/m52.htm Like I said if you've got the cash, you could do the E36 M3 motor (think it's a S52B32 designation), but the later evolution motor in 3.2L is better.
  22. I still say supercharged M52 2.8L BMW 6... KEEP IT BMW! and it will be a damn sight cheaper. Then the remainder $5K can do suspension and most desperately with E30s... BRAKES
