It looks right the little plate can only go on one side of the exhaust cam gear. The inlet cam doesn't seem to be out long enough for the pin to be able to slide in to inlet cam gear

Do you know if the early rb25de can gears where different

The exhaust gear is different then an rb30 just checked with a spare motor I have. It’s going to hit the cover as well not sure if it will push back when the the cam cover goes on

I’ll have a look but the exhaust gear looks fine it’s more the inlet gear not being able to slide on to the pin that comes out off the cam

Took that off just so I could measure how far. It’s like the cam is missing 8mm in length

Just other gears I’ve had. They are the same. Only thing I can think is that the cam gear is wrong but I thought they where all the same

cam gear won’t line up cam comes out 20mm and inner of the gear is 28mm
