  1. Is this it? This is the one used in the motor mag article last year.
  2. There were a few N1's in it last year. the 2002 one came 3rd in the first leg, but lost 9 hours on the second leg, another 12 hours on the third leg, a further 15 hours on the 4th leg and 15 hours on the last leg. Clearly some kind of technical problem or something... http://www.targa.org.au/results2002/leg5m.htm
  3. I think he just won the Grand Prix Rally...
  4. Good work! It's hard to save a lot when your mates go out and spend, but pretty soon you won't regret it... They'll say "Your so lucky - I wish I had a car like yours"... Ppl will also think you're rich or your parents paid for it, so get used to defending yourself! Keep it up...
  5. HAhaha... When I bought my car the guy wouldn't accept a check unless it was a bank cheque (being a credit union my bank couldn't do that) so I had to pay $40,000+ in cash... So much the federal police were checking up on why I was withdrawing that much from the bank and I cleaned out all the cash that that branch had for the day! 400+ $100 bills!
  6. And I found a pic of red Angel Eyes... Can you believe the cop's have never commented on these being on the FRONT of his car!? Look so evel when they appear in your rear view mirror though...
  7. Note the Blue aura of the lights - that's what they look like at night. The 'yellow' lights are actaully 'cool Blue' bulbs (the ones with blue glass).. That's how blue Xenon's really are!
  8. Xenons = HID = High Intensity Discharge = BRIGHT! = Expensive (A retro-kit for most cars will cost at least $1000 to buy (if it's a good quality kit)) LED = Light Emittign Diode = Small, not very bright. You can buy ordinary filament globes called 'xenon' but they are not. They have nothing to do with real xenons... A real Xenon bulb has no filament and will cost >$100. (Mine are $210 each!)
  9. Xenons are the best - blue but legal! A friend of mine has red angel eyes at the front of his car, but it's a BMW, so the cops don't bother him. 3 times cops have looked and not once have they booked him... Osram have good white bulbs too.
  10. That's my bank! I do all my baning with DefCredit - they are good!
  11. After I finished school I went straight to uni full time. I had never worked until I was 19, but in the 3 years after getting my first job, I saved up $40,000. To do it: Worked 20+ hours per week during uni Worked 40+ hours per week every holidats Lived at home Didn't waste money on alcohol/smoking Then just after I finished uni, but before I started full time work, I borrowed another $40,000 and bought my car. (Didn't want to liquidate my investments). Currently paying $400 per week.
  12. Looks good - who was getting married?
  13. Mine so far is very reliable. Never had a problem, despite 'hooning' up a mountain with 10 other cars in 47c heat! It's quite simple getting that much power apparently - a stroker kit will increase capacity to 3.4l (from the original 2.5) and with that you can get 350hp. From there plug on a supercharger to get an extra 100-150hp. Sounds easy, and it is, but it's also expensive. Still, nothing short of a modified GTR would be as fast! I am very concerned with reliability though. I'm going to see if anyone else does it first and see how their reliability is.
  14. No - My angel eyes are OEM off a 5-series. Modified to work with high intensity LED's. I've had them since mid-last year. And I won't be trading in my 325i on a Skyline for a while. the 325i is pretty fast, has all the luxuries inside, and looks nice... What I will be doing is some work on the engine. My workshop indicate >450hp is easilly possible... Just need to find the $ to do it. Angel Eyes:
  15. Jamezilla: There's only 1 black E36 Coupe with the full Schnitzer kit + Angel eyes + Xenon Headlights, and it's mine! Rego is BOHR
  16. Hey - I saw you today - driving down Collins Street, near Queens Street! Your car looks really nice! Just as good, if not better than the pictures! Good work!
  17. Shiro - Very active on DTM Power - one of the 'regulars' - attend most events, post all day... Why?
  18. Wasn't a 'drag' just some swift (ish) driving - I got the impression he gave it a squirt, but not everything - I in turn dind't change down, but just accellerated in 3rd... You'd know if it was me behind you - fog lights and angel-eyes only. And it was an R33, so prolly not you.
  19. Guess it wasn't anyone here...
  20. Nice! I note the BMW in the background too... Good choice of cars!
  21. Hey, Was anyone in a wine-red skyline GTS-25t around hoddle-street last night at around mid-night? Had a bit o fun, but tks for going slow enough for me to keep up... (Well, I coulda gone a bit faster, but too much traffic around). Nice car. Baron.
  22. Gardo, Yeah - it's a forum similar to SAU called DTMPower (www.DTMPower.net). I'll look into that Westgate place...
  23. Yep... That's nice... Be nicer in black with shadow-chrome wheels though...
  24. Yeah - I love it. One day if I ever have $100k I'm going to get an identical one. Looks so evil!
  25. Actually, it was coined a few years ago by Bryan (I think it was 1996). Check out his web-page: http://www.riceboypage.com/
