1. Remove the lighter part (the hand-held piece with the coil) 2. Inside the barrel there should be 2 tiny squares (2mm long) about 5mm in from the top. Each tiny square is opposite the other, with a plastic tab in each. Stab each tab with a small flathead while trying to push the steel barrel out. Do this until the steel barrel sits on top of the tabs. 3. Pry the barrel out from the top (this will probably damage the plastic). Slide the barrel all the way out. 4. Pull the lighter assembly out on an angle - the LED (black square piece behind with separate plug) should act as the pivot point here. It comes out the front.
