  1. Hey all, Got a mate who needs a sticker made up for this weekend. Will supply details to whoever can do it. Let me know asap via PM or on 9273 7122 Cheers Brett

  3. Can only go by what I'm told, and yes they are apparently pretty awesome in the dry, but as I said a few people I know aren't as happy about the wet weather performance. Personal opinion I guess differs greatly regarding what people class as good or bad performing tyres.. Regarding the tread, i meant that it's pretty much a slick tyre with a few grooves cut into it, nothing like a conventional wet weather tyre. And because of that I assumed they wouldn't be so great..
  4. Another reason the CF bonnets are illegal (in WA anyway) is because of the rear facing vents in them. Can't have any rear facing vents in case of something going wrong under the bonnet and spraying crap all over the windscreen effectively blinding the driver.. Rex style forward facing scoops are ok though.. So painting them might not help ya much....
  5. I've heard some unpleasant things about RE540s in the wet. Some of the boys from here have them and are not impressed with their wet weather handling. Looking at the tread pattern (or lack thereof) doesn't surprise me!!!! ha ha ha
  6. I have a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's on my GTR at the moment. Done about 7,000kms on them and they are wearing very well. Don't know what funky is on about though, from my experience they are awesome in the wet regardless of how hot they are. Very confident of them in the wet, never feels slippery or aquaplaney.. They do tramline a bit, but I think most tyres over 245 size do that to a degree, GTR's i've heard are notorious for it too... They are exxy but I was given wrong info on load ratings when I was looking which dictated me getting expensive tyres.. Still I'm more than happy with them.. Brett
  7. Paul, Can you post a list of the cars to be included in the shoot, as well as anything we need to know/bring to get in to the motorplex on the day? Cheers Brett
  8. Paul I'm in.. unless this damn clutch saga is still going. but fingers crossed by then it'll all be a distant nightmare..... ps who do i need to talk to to sign up, i missed out at Drag combat.. Cheers Brett
  9. Dudes, I had a set of these on my old GTSt (now owned by MattyB). They have a 4 or 5 step change from blue to green and a 4 or 5 step brightness control too. They look awesome at night, and there is no reflection off the windscreen as Gus said the 'hood' of the dash covers them... They are not hard to install as they sit over the top of your existing guages.. Only problem is you either have to cut through the EL to get them over the needles or take the needles off which unless you are ultra careful will result in incorrect speed, revs, temp, fuel etc.... Definately worth the money... Rice is nice sometimes... ha ha ha
  10. Matt, Nope, that's why I have EGT gauge... It can do: Boost Injector duty Timing Lead Timing trail Water Temp Intake Temp Knock Battery Volt Revs Speed Think thats it.... I have mine displaying Boost, Injector duty, water temp and knock....
  11. Greenline are selling OS twins for 133,500 yen (around $1,666) and the conversion kit for 33,810 ($421). Think I'll go for one of those... Anyone have a rough idea of cost to install one?? Cheers Brett
  12. Save your dollars and get a PFC with H/C. Then you have up ten different gauges running all at the same time!!!! Price up 10 Defi's or Apexi guages and tell me the PFC is overpriced!!!! ha ha ha
  13. Cool Matt, might take you up on that offer..... Cheers guys Brett
  14. Mick, My R33 GTR has done the same thing before, check the fluid level of the 4wd system in the right corner of the boot. There is a bottle of transmission fluid behind a flap there. Too little and the light will come on.... Brett
  15. Pics of bonnet lip? Is it painted purple? Cheers Brett
  16. Why?? BTW, was it a 32, 33 or 34??
  17. This story is covered in the current edition of SPEED. page 3 or 5 I think...
  18. Why do you want to change the stock BOVs? Unless they are broken they will handle over 500hp no worries.. If you are running pods with stock BOV's you will get a decent woosh noise under high revs but quiet when cruising...
  19. PM Micko, he did his a few months ago, will be able to tell you exactly what to do.. Brett
  20. Scotsman, I watched my mechanic do it, there is a bold up near the front axle that he bled some fluid out of, pulled the fuse out of the boot and RWD it was... Put the fuse back in, bled the air back out of the pump and 4WD again....
  21. To scare the crap out of yourself perhaps??? ha ha ha Personally I prefer the safety (and fun) of the Attessa, going sideways on public streets doesn't appeal to me, I'd rather corner like it's on rails....
  22. All you need to do is pull the fuse in the boot and bleed the 4wd pump of fluid, no need to drop front drive shafts.. I've had mine done to dyno it and causes no probs at all. Just make sure they do the screw up properly when they've finished otherwise you leak fluid... You lose around 60ml of transmission fluid that's all... Mines a Vspec too... Cheers Brett
  23. Not sure what Ants specs are now, but Danny's car is friggen awesome... I believe it'll give Nathan Webbs car a run for it's money in the power stakes....
