Correct Roy, I have the dumps but not the manifolds yet. Still with Stock dumps and manifolds the difference to stock turbos would be amazing... Anyone know how much the HKS manifold would sell for?? I'd say with 406 4wkw the engine would be fully rebuilt, cams, etc and about 1.7 bar???? Brett

Mark, my second hand 2530's had the slightest play in them but only a tiny tiny bit. I replied in your other thread about talking to Mark Sharp from Bansai Motorsport, I know he has a heap of turbos in at the moment.. He's in Qld too... Brett

Mark, I have the Type R HKS cooler, it's awesome... Also speak to Mark Sharp from Bansai Motorsport he's a legend and he's in Qld. I got my turbos off him second hand for a good price and they were virtually brand new.. Also you can get a PFC with Hand controller for around $1300 from places like Nengun and Greenline. I would suggest you also get the HKS Actuators when you get the turbos. A mate put them on his 2530's and they hold 1.1 bar perfect. I'm running stock actuators and my boost drops off and isn't as consistant... SydneyKid, I was shocked at the result as well. It was done on the same Dyno about 2 weeks apart (temps were not much different). Boost went up slightly but we didn't change it. Nothing else went on the car except the cooler, stock pipes and everything.... Went from a stock R33 cooler to a HKS Type R... I guess there could have been a problem with my stock cooler but it looked in good nick... A fair bit of oil and crap came out of it when I degreased it that could have affected it I suppose.. Cheers Brett

Mark, there are a couple of us over in Perth running 2530's on GTR's, I've got an R33 and a mate has an R32. He's running 2530's with HKS dumps on stock engine, sticj injectors, stock FMIC, with PFC, Bosch 044 and 1.2 bar and is getting 403rwhp. I'm running 2530's and dumps, HKS FMIC, 700cc injector, cam gears, PFC Pro but am awaiting z32 afm's before tuning to 1.3bar. I changed my FMIC at 280awhp and without changing anything else power rose to 320awhp so I disagree with the 'stock cooler is good for 450hp theory.. Another factor to consider is about 500 - 550 engine hp the internals are going to be under a lot of pain!!!! But defo go the 2530's, wicked for street.... Cheers Brett

Pity Nissan Aus don't offer the Z in this colour, I'd seriously consider changing cars...

Hey Guys, Over here in Perth I have been quoted to get the Plenum, Twin Turbo Pipe polished and the engine covers painted for around $700. Apparently to get the best paint job it's best to get all the covers polished first, something about a better shinier result.. GTR Ken has had his done and has pics somewhere... Cheers Brett

Ken, Ethan_32 has dropped the price for his to around $28k. From the list of mods it looks like a decent car for that price.. in the for sale section buddy.. Brett

Hey guys and girls, I have searched the forums for info on this but couldn't find what I'm after. Anyone know of or better yet have insurance with a company that will allow engine mods? I'm talking about stuff like Upgraded turbos, ECU's, injectors etc that make the car go faster? Most places I can think of won't do it. My insurance is due in a few months and the company I'm with don't allow any mods... Cheers Brett

The GTR with the VSPEC N1 plates is Paul Rodgers old one, pretty sure that isn't standard...

1978 VB Commydoor 1987 VL turbo (at least it had a nissan motor) 1996 R33 GTSt. Mint car, really miss it sometimes. Now owned by Matty B on these forums. 1995 R33 GTR Vspec.. Fairly well modded. currently has 320hp at all 4 and will be aiming for over 400 at the rears once the new AFM's go on...

APEXi PFC = Bye bye Air flow meter?
EVL R33 replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in General Automotive Discussion
T88, I'm running a PFC Pro in my Gtr as well, it was new when I got it beginning of this year... How do I know if I can get rid of the AFM's?? Cheers Brett -
Should be able to get there, got stuff on in the arvo but should be finished by then.. Brett
-
You should be able to get a feel for the car based on the condition of it and how well it drives. Most important is if you still like it after test driving it get it checked by a mechanic who has worked on GTR's before. It's worth paying $100 bucks to make sure you ain't buying a 'potato chip with the guts flogged out if it' lol... Brett

Mick, so is that $350 for one GTR AFM or two???

Buying Stuff From Nengun Or Greenline!!!!!!!
EVL R33 replied to GTB055's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've purchased items off both Nengun and Greenline before, PFC, Injectors, Cam gears etc.. Both are better prices than any local shop in perth can do, and they are usually really quick in getting the items down to me.. I get a quote off both and chose the one who is either cheapest or can get the stuff I need quicker. Taka is also a great place to do business with... Cheers Brett -
Dave, Is that $300 for a set of two?? Give me an idea on what is available. Cheers Brett
-
Just out of curiosity what would be an expected price to pay for a good working standard R33 GTR AFM? I ask because I will soon have two spares and am wondering what they might sell for. I figured that since the best price I can get brand new ones for from the nissan dealer I know is $500 each, asking around the $250 - $300 each isn't WAY too much is it?? Cheers Brett

S14, I upgraded my intercooler when I put 2530's on my GTR. With the standard cooler I got 280hp at all 4 wheels at 1.1 bar. With the new HKS cooler (600 x 300 x 103) I got 320hp at all 4 on slightly higher boost (1.15). The dyno showed around 40hp gain right across the range from around 4000rpm right to redline. I know guys who are getting 400hp at the rears with stock FMIC's so you can get good numbers, but I wonder what they would get with a bigger cooler????? Something to think about anyway... Brett
-
Who has actually done this, and what is involved? I've been told the 044 drops straight into the R32 GTR with just a couple of fittings, but an R33 GTR is WAY different. Anyone out there done it and willing to share the steps? Much appreciated Brett

GTR ECU and injectors for Sale
EVL R33 replied to EVL R33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Bump.. Dropping price to $300ono for the injectors and $250 for the ecu. Also will have a set of GTR stock AFM's for sale soon, all offers considered. Brett -
No idea if the SAFC will control the z32, at a guess I'd say it won't work as the stock ecu won't 'read' the afm properly. Bosch make a plug that fits the afm, well that's what my mechanic told me anyway.. Give them a try.. Brett
