EVL R33

Load rating is the amount of 'load' each tyre can handle at speed. It is usually in a number (ie 94) or a Kg rating (ie 620kg). It's on the placard in the glovebox or inside the drivers side door sill (where it shows you the tyre pressures...) Even one or two numbers different is huge, I was told the difference between a 92 and a 94 is about 60kg's per tyre!!!!! The DS-G3's are the brand new super tyre from Goodyear. They cost me $520 each, but if I had cash up front I could have got them for around $480 each (got them on 12months interest free).. Yeah its a lot of money but I've got HKS 2530's in now so I needed the extra grip and performance for saftey.... Cheers Brett

Correct Adam, I got my car from Power Auto Imports (Interpower) in Maddington. Docile, Have you looked at Bentley Autos? Skippers Imports? They have a heap of lines there at the moment. Yeah you pay more but they look to have some nice cars... Otherwise you should look at InitialD's car (Jon).. Damn nice and already modded. Cheers Brett

Nissaner, Be careful of the load rating of the tyres you decide to get. An R33 GTR has a load rating index of 94. I recently bought tyres for my GTR and I was only able to find like 3 types of tyres that had an index that high. I even rang transport over here and they told me in an accident the tyres are checked and the load index is one of the items they look at. If you have the wrong index on your car insurance companies won't pay up..... I had to choose between Pirelli Pzero's, Goodyear Eagle F1's and a Yokie, I went the Eagle F1 DS-G3's, unreal in the wet. Brand new set of NanKang Ultra Sport 235/40/18's. Only been on the rims for a few weeks, done less than 200km's.... Selling as they are too small for the Rims I have now. rev, I'm chasing around the 500hp mark, and most guys I talk to tell me the stock box will not handle that... I could always leave it and see, I just put a new K&N Panel filter into it too!!!!! ha ha ha

WldGTR, The HKS Cams you have are they the Step 2 cams?? You have both the IN and EX right? How many km's have they travelled in your car?? Would you take $900 and I'll cover freight to WA for them??

I will be needing to upgrade my airbox as it won't flow enough for the goodies I have got, but I want to have it 'legal' before I shell out the dollars for pods... K&N's could be a go, I was looking at the Trust AirInx pods though they may not get a permit... I'll give whelshpool a ring. Cheers Brett

Kidd, What makes them think I dragged it?? I raced my old car which I traded in for the GTR, maybe that's what they were on about...

Does anyone have a gtr and has done a rear wheel drive dyno run and then a 4wd run the same day, on the same dyno with no changes to anything?? Just want to know what kind of difference in figures you get. Cheers Brett
