  1. Just wondering if anyone has bought a Hybrid cooler? Thinking about it and the price and quality look pretty good. A few guys I know have bought them with no probs but I was wondering if anyone with a Skyline has one installed? Cheers Brett
  2. Dan, I'm working this Friday night, skimpies are still on Thursday and Friday I think till 6.. I used to work in the bottle shop but now it's bar and restaurant... Yeah call in for a drink, I'll look after ya.. Brett

  4. Troy, Sorry dude, didn't forget ya, just know your work schedule can be a bit of a pain for stuff like this..... Holiday's good??? Those eastern staters looking after ya??? Of course they are, they own Skylines so it's like family right!!!! ha ha ha... Catch up when you get back... Brett
  5. Sorry guys, I'm working this Sunday so I can't make it:( Next Sunday I won't be though:D :) Brett
  6. Ok fella's, It's on again, Market City Tavern proudly presents 'Bathurst 2002'!!!!!!!!! Date: Sunday October 13th 2002 Time: Around 7am start till race finishes (usually 5pm ish) Cost: TBA (last years was $20 a head, should be the same) Includes: Full buffet breakfast, big screen to watch the race. Beers are usually done cheaper too. Raffles done throughout the day, including betting on winner, first to drop out etc... Where: Market City Tavern, Bannister Road Canning Vale. Righty hoe, I need to start getting names so we can organise food etc.. Ask any of the boys that went last year if your not sure whether it's any good, Joe, Ryan, Troy etc all went and had a ball. There's heaps of parking too. So who wants to go?? I'll count me, Ryan and Joe so far, what about the rest of you? Brett
  7. I'll check with the boss tonight at work and start a new thread for this tomorrow..... Brett
  8. Ryan, Steve does Bathurst every year, so I assume he'll be doing it again... Shall I start organising?? It's october/november sometime isn't it?? Brett
  9. Adam, Good to here she will be back on the road soon... Sorry about the dig, couldn't help myself... Joe, Yeah dude I saw you on Sunday. I was heading home for working at the pub.. I did see you wave. Wasn't sure who it was but the SDU sticker meant I had to wave.. Ryan, Yeah still working there, now in the restaurant. All weekend every weekend..... Brett
  10. Wassup Adam, Yeah good man, the car is running ok, just need to save for some more power.... What's happening with the beast??? Got the new pistons yet? Bubs are both ok and growing fast? So what have you been driving whilst the 'line has been fixed? Brett
  11. Count me in fella's, whatever help is required.... MetBlue_GTST, I'm guessing you have a blue R33??? Got any pics? I have only ever seen one other car the same blue as mine.. Is it the BN6 Deep Marine Blue with Pearl?? Cheers Brett
  12. Joe, I'm keen as to try this, I missed the last one. Are we going to get a group together??? Brett
  13. Hi Kym, I got mine from Car Quest in East Perth. Short Street I think in Picadilly Arcade (right next door to Marble Bar). Brett
  14. Grim GTS-t, Nice work dude. I had a set put in my 'line about a month ago now, still stoked every time I open the door or turn the lights on:D Does yours do the 6 different colour changes? Well actually it's really just 5 different blues and a green, but fun to play with for about 10 minutes... Also, mine came with the cut out for the turbo gauge already done... I got them over here in Perth for $180. I have seen them at other places for as much as $300. The guys who installed mine told me they wouldn't have to take the needles off, and then when I picked the car up they said 'oh by the way your needles will be out because we had to take them off.' I know the fuel and speedo are slightly out so I will have to get them all recalibrated at some point... Brett
  15. Hey Joe, Next time we go on a cruise I'll give you a look at my quarts. You should be able to fit 6x9's in the rear shelf, and there shouldn't be any problems with interference. Personally I'd go with 2 way 6x9's so that the top end sounds like it is coming from the front of the car instead of behind you. Brett
  16. Damn!!!!! I got my early 96 (with series 1 interior) with jap sus and jap exhaust for $34,000 2 years ago!!!! Can't believe how much the price has dropped for them. The car yard was asking $38,000 and I looked at two others from different car yards, same year for over $40,000.... But I guess back then there wasn't many around. Lucky bastard....
  17. Strich9ine, Dude, glad your not too picky with the specs you are after!!!! I'm thinking for the year you want and the mods you'd be looking closer to $30,000 for that, and you'd probably be better off getting a private sale with all those mods, car yards don't tend to have much more than exhaust, pod ect... Good luck looking though man.... Brett
  18. Joe, You say you have about $1,500 to spend right? OK, we don't have to worry about a deck or changer as you have them already. So I say get a set of splits for the front @ $300.00 A 4 channel amp @ $700.00 15" Sub in a box @ $500.00 Bridge two of the channels and run the sub in mono for more power. I left the cheap rear 2 ways in mine and just faded them right out so that people in the back can hear some of the singing over the 2 x 12" in the boot... If you went to different places and asked for the stuff above fully installed for $1,500 you would get someone who would do it.. I got my Deck ($1,000), subs and amp ($1,500) fully installed + a box for $2,500, (already had the splits and extra amp installed) In other words they didn't charge me for the box or install. Thats because I shopped around once I decided what to get and played the shops against each other.... Brett
  19. sidewaymambo, MB Quart's are one of the best quality speakers on the market in my opinion (and a lot of other people's too). They start to get very expensive compared to other brands, but it's worth the cost for clarity. go here: http://www.mbquart.com/ cheers Brett
  20. Strich9ine, I have pics but they are on my C: drive not web hosted so I can't post them. If you can I'll email them to you and you can put them up... Brett
  21. Mre, Pics of 2 x 12" subs, 1 x Punch amp and 1 x V12 amp in R33.... OK, can someone tell me how to insert an image off my HDD, not off a URL????? Brett
  22. Squizz, I have 2 x 12" subs in a box in my R33, I can take the box out if I need to. It's not real heavy, I'd say around 25kgs. It does make a difference in acceleration, but just up the boost a bit  Besides, if you are cruising with the stereo up what's the rush Brett
  23. Prank, I think I may have shown you the pics of my install before, but I have 2 x 12" and 2 amps in the boot of my R33. I used straps for the sub box so I can get to the spare if need be. Not flashy, but doesn't move and sounds just as good.... I can post the pics if you want.. Brett
  24. Hi, I have a set of MB Quart 6.5" splits in the front doors. The mids fit perfectly into the stock locations, and I have the tweeters on the sails next to the side mirrors. Sounds awsome.... Brett
  25. Hey Guys!! I can finally get in touch with you all again!!!! Well at least until work figures out the new Forum address and bans it like they did with SDU.... Was a lot of fun yesterday, until we hit the storms, then it was just plain scary!!!! Hats off to Joe for a great scenic drive, I did start to think you were heading us down to Bunbury at one point there dude  As for the naked buttocks, I can vouch for that!!! I nearly ran up the ass of the 180 in front of me cause I was so busy watching the girlys dropping their dacks for Joe   Nexus, thanks for the sticker, but are we going to stay with the SDU idea or switch to 'SAU-WA' now we have moved? Anyway, nice to catch up with everybody, and great meeting the guys I didn't know. Brett
