Hey guys just wondering from a few of you with a bit of experience with drag racing in skylines, what would 50rwkw be worth in an r32 gtst?? I had a r32 a few yrs back which made 125rwkw (i dont care how low you think this figure is) and ran a 14.1 with a slightly slipping clutch. Ive just had my car tuned and was told it made approx 175rwkw on the same dyno. Now the dyno is known to read up to in one case 40rwkw low, so i cant trust reading other ppls power figures to time run. With a decent run and the fact i have a very good clutch now rather than when i had a stocko on the original car what time do you think it would run realistically? Thanks for your help.....Brett

nothing worng with the power figure, ppl are just so used to false reading dynos these days they think every car with a pods filter, fmic and turbo back exhaust should have 220rwkw. believe me i know ppl that have worked in shops where they do fudge dyno results quoting alot higher power figures than normal. i dont know how anyone can take dyno readings seriously the way it is now.....

if u wanna reset it, just unhook your battery and pump the brake pedal a few times. i suggest taking the car to a workshop, they will find the problem alot quicker and easier than you will. charlies at wooloongabba know skylines very well, they deal with alot of them. im sure they will sort your problem out very quickly. on the bov issue, u might find its stuck shut (if they can do that) the noise you are probably hearing is the flutter noise the air makes as it comes back out the compressor wheel of the turbo. try sourcing a new stock bov, it will most probably fix that.

Selling my car which i had imported about a year and a half ago. 1990 R32 Gtst Respray "Mazda 3" Blue Full Vertex Kit 5 speed manual Rb25 engine. We just swapped the r33 rb25 with a neo, swapping all the engine parts so it would still run on a chipped r32 ecu, which it does just fine. Fuel ecconomy has been excellent since the swap. Rb20 gearbox Splitfire Coilpacks Nismo heavy duty clutch with lightened fly wheel. HKS drag intercooler - 600x300x110mm Greddy aluminuim Radiator Z32 AFM Blitz Pod filter 3inch Turbo Back exhaust HKS coilovers Sard fuel pressure regulator Unknown Fuel pump (but its bloody loud) Greddy Boost & Water temp. Guages HKS evc boost controller Pivot speed meter Turbo timer *NOTE* 18 inch wheels now on the car Bonnet Painted the same colour as the rest of the car. Car Condition. Paint is in fairly good nick, only painted less than a yr ago. Few chips and scrapes on the front bar. Bubble in dash. Stain (which should come out) of passenger seat. Top air vents (top of dash) broken but have paid for replacements, just waiting on them to arrive. timing belt is making a whinning noise, though im told its just something they do every now and again. had someone want just the gearbox mount. anyone interested in the engine mounts by them selves?

exactly. like i said i dont know this sort of stuff to well so i was hoping it made sense. the only thing that we were a bit unsure about is that my battery went flat on sunday (got the car back friday night) and really the only difference that has been made since swapping the blocks is that the vct is wired into the fuse box to the ignition. any thoughts on whether that could possbly drain the battery??

its just the neo block, we basically just swapped everything onto the block that was on the rb25, and the vct was wired into the fuse box into the ignition. works a treat. *disclaimer* i dont know alot about this sorta tehnical stuff but this is basically how my mate has explained they got it to work

Ive got a R32 with an rb25 in it that is running a 20 ecu. When i first got the car it was running a S1 r33 engine with hks cams therefore the vct was removed, ive just done a swap for a neo6 running the vct and the guy that wired it in has got the vct to run using the chipped ecu. Dave from Charlies at wooloongabba (brisbane) wired that bit in and got an extra 15 rwkw once the vct was wired in and working.

well how bout $260 and you can have them tomorrow rather than waiting for the shipping. its going to be the exact same thing.

i dont doubt the dyno readout said 190, i guarantee you it isnt a true power figure though, but what is these days, dyno's are so didfferent from one to the next.

pics of sideskirts, showing damage to one of the skirts only, and its only the two bits, one looks like its a crack the other looks like the tyre has worn through. both arnt very visable when they are on the car. these skirts are not fibreglass either, they seem to be plastic. also on the engine mount kit, price is negotiable, prefer to sell it local in brisbane but might send it interstate if there is no interest here. coilpacks no longer for sale.

ill chuck in charlies motors at wooloongabba. Tune a few of the drifters around brisbane and i know they arn't complaining. Never had a problem with them, and im always confident they will get it right and at a reasonable price.

the side skirts are a purple colour and will have to be re painted to suit your car, as its a custom colour. will have pics up on everything tomorrow night. thanks...brett
