Extra Info: car has been resprayed le mans sunset (350z gold) with no wing and boot holes closed over other mods as follows: apexi fmic tomei short shift kit r33 turbo 3 inch turbo back zorst walbro fuel pump tein low and stiff suspension k & n pod filter nice stereo consisting of mp3 player headeck, cadence 6 1/2 inch splits, two amps and 2 12 inch subs (prob needs some rear speakers to sound better but goes alright as is) currently the car has some 18 inch chromies as seen in the photos but ill be replacing them with some 16" r34 gtt rims with pretty much brand new rubber. although if something can be worked out ill leave the 18's on the car. but the rear wheels are running big camber to fit the wheels inside the guards so it will be up to who wants the car. a/c isnt hooked up as i was building the car for drift but bought another car in the process and im keeping that one now instead, purely because of the mods on the other car. also the passenger vent is missing.   5. thanks for your reply, the problem doesnt really hang around for long enough for me to do this. if i pull up at a set of lights the revs will drop right down the back up high then back to say 500rpm then just over a 1000. then maybe drop to 900 and stay there. it fixes itself in abut 20sec but it is just an annoying problem. once its stopped at 900rpm it will idle there all day long.

  7. hey guys got an annoying problem in my car. just wondering if there is anyway to find out whats wrong without replacing everything? its got the problem like the low engine stalling thing but it has never stalled. ill come to a set of lights and the revs will drop to like 400rpm then go to like 1200rpm then drop again and just keep bouncing up and down untill itll stop and rest at about 900rpm and idle good. if i give the accelerator a slight tap it might help it stabilize quicker but its still annoying. also when i got a dyno done on it the tuner said he couldnt get it to lean out hgh up in the rev range it would have the same fuel mixture at like 6000rpm as it would at idle and was running bullshit rich. which he said was great for drifting but not so good if you want max power out of the setup any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers.....brett

  13. well basically i wanna get into it so i will drift the car as it is, then decide how serious im going to get. 300rwkw sounds like fun though, but i will have to decide what want to do as i realise ill need to go turb, ecu and injectors to get max power out of this thing.

  15. sweet as thanks sk, it makes sense now they were building up to it but never got there. now the big q's, what turbo would be a good option. looking to chase conservatively 200+rwkw would i be looking at a hi flow gcg job or heading more towards a t67 or something similar. id really like to get into drifting so something responsive would be best thanks....brett

  18. i have bought this car from japan, it landed last week andd me and a mate looked at it on monday. we couldnt work out why they had done certain mods and not the other. then rezz told me it was tuned by a shop called blackline racing in japan. no ive emailed them asking them why they had done certain mods and not others. it has: rb25det hks adj. cam gears 264 cams hks type r i/c with 3 inch piping 1.5mm metal headgasket as well as turbo back zorst pod filter sard fpr huge greddy radiator twin plate clutch etc but with a stock turbo. now when i emailed them i asked them what turbo it was running and he told me that was the turbo it was running there when they tuned it. then he gave me this response which he has obviously translated and makes no sense. if someone can mnake sense of this can they please explain it to me. thanks.... brett dear@ brett weick Inside of a question Why is thick piping used for a normal turbo? I explain. It has a big meaning, in case ECU is arranged. It is important although it cannot explain well in English. If it says simply Piping is made thick, in order to accumulate air firmly, to set up ignition time highly and to take out torque. that is, air -- a turbo -- it is carrying out in order to store air so that it may not be pushed into engine Moreover, valve timing is also set up so that valve timing can also set up the timing of ignition early. That is, it is tuned up in order to make torque and power an compatible setup. Although he wants to explain details more, since I cannot speak English, I cannot explain well.   21. it will owe me 8500 complied and rego'd plus money to fix damage there was no mention of any opf the mods or even the rb25 in the auction sheet, all i knew it had was coilover, mech dif and fmic got a bit of a surprise when i saw an engine shot
  22. hey mate, im pretty interested, just a q's when was boost coming on on your car?? looking for a turbo that would be alright for drift. would this be ok or should i be looking toward something else. also where did you get your plenum from?? very keen to get me one of them. thanks....brett

  24. gday ppl bought this car from japan and i know the turbo on it isnt the one that it would have been running, ill post up an engine bay pic so u see what i mean. its got a stock rb25 turbo on it but im sure it should be running bigger. i think it was a drag car in japan from the mods done to it. if anyone can help it would be great thanks....brett
  25. Hi guys Selling my car due to the fact ive bought one setup for drift from japan and it arrived last week. Details: Resprayed Le Mans Sunset (350Z Gold) 93 model 5 speed man r33 turbo apexi fmic 3 inch turbo back exhaust walbro fuel pump k & n pod filter 5 puk brass button clutch done by direct clutch in brisbane tomei short shift kit tein lowered suspension (not coilovers or adjustable, but very low and very stiff) 18 inch chrome wheels stereo consisting of mp3 head unit, 6 inch splits and 2 12 inch subs as well as two amps. sports steering wheel gtr rear seat (was going to get retrimmed but bought other car instead) can have boost guage and oil pressure but not currently in the car, will arrange something with whoever buys it. a/c not currently hooked up will have 6 months rego. ill upload some photos in the next few days. wont be able to see the car in the next few days but late in the week should be fine. Looking for $18 000 negotiable will seperate 18's but not stereo as i dont want the stereo foir my new car. car is located in brisbane please call me on 0402 854 163 from thursday 23rd june if you want to have a look. thanks......brett
