  1. Should be picking it up this arvo if there are no issues. Not sure if I will get much work done tonight on it, State of Origin is on (Go Queensland) Will get the full front on Thursday night, drive to it work on Friday, 75km round trip and then race Saturday. Hopefully Put the new wheels on the other day, 19x9.5 +12 but they are B disk and they clear the r34 calpiers by about 1mm!!! Grabbed some 3mm spacers yesterday just to be sure. If it had r33 calipers, they would have not fitted.
  2. The car is now running and ready to go on the dyno Has not been run for over 7-8 months Very excited
  3. It was mentioned to me the other day of a crank shaft repair mob in Brisbane prefer to weld the front of the crank and machine instead of fitting a crank collar. They believed they could better clearances to the pump drive doing it this way Cost was approx $220-240 which is not too much different from paying someone to supply and fit the crank collar. What are people thoughts with this method
  4. Do we get the required paperwork on the day at the front gate when we get there? Thanks for info
  5. It has enough bolt on's to get to 300rwkw, as long as there is no issues Will have to wait and see. Will be limited to stock head gasket, so 18-19psi Sat arvo QLD SAU drag day. I think I get 1 free passenger entry included. My son is going, under 13 are free. Otherwise $20 to watch.
  6. EFI Performance Not shaw how it will go. I had it at the exhaust shop last Wednesday for 7-8 hours getting the exhuast to fit (it was bent is 3 places) plus intercooler piping changes to suit turbo and inlet plenum. I ended up with a HKS silent cat back which 3 inch with a canon on the rear and a large centre resinator. The problem with that is the resinator only has approx a 2 1/2 pipe thru the middle, so that may restrict it a little. Are you free Saturday arvo?
  7. The thread title says 2-4pm Is that race time? When do we need to be there by and do cars have to be checked over before running? My car will be finished on the dyno at EFI Performance on Wednesday, so hope it all goes well.
  8. All mechanical work is know done with a couple of minor things getting finished off at the tuners. Dropped the car off last Friday after inishing at 2.30am in the morning tring to get it all done, and will be on the rollers tomorrow. Will be picked up Wednesday arvo if all goes well. Still have to refit the front guards, bonnet, head lights and front bar before Saturday. Running it down the strip at Willowbank for a couple of hours to see what it can do. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. In my case, the stagea hicas rack was 425mm long and R33/r34 are 405mm long I bought a R33/r34 hicas bar from Justjap. Ended up putting it in the lathe to machine off welds around each end where the threaded inserts go in. Then pulled them out 10mm each and had them re tig welded. You can grind the welds as well on a bench grinder if no lathe.
  10. Time for a bump I will sort out a route and venue over the next week
  11. Spent 8-9 hours at custom exhaust shop standing around and helping out getting new front pipe made, cut and reweld my new exhaust which was bent in 3 places and new/modify intercooler piping to suit new turbo and front facing inlet plenum
  12. There has been some good suggestions and some bad ones in this thread. Before you go racing off buying parts. you need to set a realistic power goal and budget before you can decide what you need to upgrade. You don't want to do things twice. I have just finished the gt3076R and siemen injectors along nistune etc. Costs run away very very quickly Booked in for tuning this Friday. Will let you know how it goes. Good or bad.
  13. I use to run the same turbo on a Neo rb25, poncams and power FC etc. 15psi only netted 250rwhp The tuner (godzilla motorsport) had problems with boost control. We concluded the actuator was not much good. I never solved the problem and have since removed the turbo and put a bigger one on I have heard of the same apexi turbo's having similar problems when you try and run 15++psi This turbo should be no laggier than the stock. They are only rated at 380ps and still run a ceremic exh wheel for faster spool. They can handle more boost than the stock turbo. The only one I have heard of spitting the exhaust wheel hit 25psi.
  14. Had a busy week New front and rear brake disc, pads, braided lines and rebuilt r34 calipers and painted in 2pac Engine covers painted in 2pac Greddy copy inlet manifold 650cc injectors and new fuel rail and Sard FPR Z32 AFM Fuel pump 13.2V direct feed New alloy radiator Next week GTR BOV Mod intercooler piping and exhaust Tune Nistune ecu Re-assembly front end of car When time premits parts waiting to go in Defi 3 DIN gauges Evo 8 recaro's GTR front sway bar Adj caster and camber arms and bushes Minor stereo upgrade
  15. If you want to keeps yours on the road, I will have a spare rb26 head to sell soon.
  16. not going Rb30. . . . disappointed Micah There is a nice RRR rb26 block on yahoo. . . big $$ thuo
  17. Spotted a rare engine on yahoo auctions It might excite you NA boys http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f92659249
  18. So Trent, can I run just one reg then between the rail and the damper??
  19. Plenum is bolted up. vac lines done. Still need to throttle body and cable and fit injectors. A couple pic's of engine and rebuilt rear calipers went on tonight. Will do the front and bleed as well tonight sorry crappy iphone pic's
  20. I have a set of 650cc siemens and they are 4 hole Car getting tuned end of next week
  21. Just bought a dud Rb26 to be stripped down for the Rb30 conversion Should see it arrive from Japan in approx 8 weeks
  22. I have a Neo rb25 and have just fitted a greddy style inlet plenum and have a new set of 650cc siemens top mount injectors. The injectors came with a new HKS style fuel rail. To use this rail I will have to fit a new remote fuel regulator. The question I have is, the Neo rail appears to have 2 regulators on it. Is this correct? They both have a vacuum line from the old inlet plenum. Do I need to have 2? Can I just run a line from the fuel filter to the end of the new rail and then run a return line form the rail, thru the regulator and back to the tank?
  23. PM-R33 Just a heads up Have you actually received any photos of each model brake lines to show exactly what they are suppling? Not the generic pic's they show on the website The reason I ask, I just received a set of lines from Hel Australia. The are totally wrong. They do not have any of the factory style mounting blocks on the line. When I contacted them, they have told me they cannot supply them at all and can not help me. So now I have a pile of crap that is usless. I ordered R33GTR fronts and the rears were suppose to be R33 GTST. I have a AWD stagea with skyline calipers, hence the odd combination. I actually ordered them thru a site sponsor on here, so I will not name them. Need to sort it out with them for a refund.
