  1. Pulled another late night last night. Finished at midnight. 3rd night in a row. Still have the roof rails to repaint, hood lining and interior pillar trims, recaro's and momo wheel to go in. Ordered a pair of 25mm spacers for the front wheels yesterday. Hopefully fit them tonight and the front diffuser. Apart from fitting the rear wing and eye lids, the exterior is finished. Nearly there. Had a guy come over last night to buy a few bits. He wants to buy the car. I need to drive it a bit before I think about selling it.
  2. Be carful TJ RWD front strut towers are totally different to AWD strut towers. So is the front suspension setup.
  3. Does the $3600 include centre caps and wheels nuts and delivery to my door? If not, how much more I am in Brisbane Interested in 18x9 gold GT-c's
  4. Fronts R33 GTST calipers use 12mm bolts R34 GTT calipers use 14mm Series 2 stagea AWD uses 14mm Series 1 stagea uses 12mm (I think, Need to confirm) Series 2 RWD fronts are different to series 2 AWD and use 12mm (I think, Need to confirm) Rears All use the same size bolt and are all a direct bolt on. To use R33 Gtst calipers you need to either re tap the caliper to 14mm or use 12mm bolts with 1mm thick sleeves thru the hub axle. If anyone wants a set of r33 front calipers, RDA slotted disks (done 1 track day only) and pads, PM me $375
  5. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sk...Sc-t281379.html Normally about 100 cars
  6. I will NOT be making this cruise. Go away on holidays the day before. Maybe next time How many of you guy's doing the Qld SAU crusie this sunday? I will be there.
  7. I had a pair of R34 factory non zenons in my car and have just fitted some factory zenons. The plug is different on the zenons, has 4 wires. 2 go to the ballast and the other 2 go to a globe. I assume the wires to the ballast will be feed from the low beam and the other 2 from the high beam?
  8. I have a series 1 cat back exhaust in my series 2. It bolted up fine. Everything lined up. About to swap from a Fujitsubo Legus R to a HKS silent. I want a bit more noise 89db verse 92db. Will also suit the new bigger turbo.
  9. I should be there if all goes well This will be my car's first outing after a 3 year build time.
  10. I am nearly there. The car wil be on the road this week end for the QLD SAU cruise on Sunday. Still have have to finish bolting up the front and rear bars and side skirts, door mirrors and fit the front diffuser and eye lids as well as the autech rear wing. I have tried painting the roof rails twice with a few problems. Need to strip them back tonight and try and get them painted again on Saturday. These are holding up the interior going back in. Need to finish removing the series 2 auto seats and fit the series 2 manual rear seat and door trims along with the evo 8 recaros. Need to make some brackets for these to suit the bride rails. Last thing will be adjust the ride height once all the weight is back in. Plan is to drive the car this week end on the cruise and make an appearance at the Jamboree, but not show it. Since I lost nearly 3 weeks from the my first crappy painter letting me down, the new turbo upgrade will have to stay in the box. Plan is to strip the front end off again, paint the engine bay and fit the new turbo and extra bits and get it tuned. Then it will be finished Should have some pics of it all back together either Saturday or Sunday.
  11. Looks good, but not sure if I want the rears to hang that far out. I have no more inner clearance on the rear with the 18x9 +30 I have now. The new bilsteins (sydneykids) I have in there hit the 245/40/18 tyres. If I lower it any more. currently around 335-340mm. Not happy.
  12. So does that mean 10' will fit. Does the strut move in that much? Anyone got pics of the rear of a RS4 with 18x9 +25 They will sit out a further 5mm from my R34 gtr rims +30 Looking at buying a set of rays GT-c's
  13. I bought a rear bar and side skirts from Viva for my stagea. Took me about 40 hours to make the rear bar fit. Had to be cut into 3 peices. Both side skirts had to be lengthened as well. Good luck
  14. Try CJ motor in Brisbane http://www.cj-motor.com/store/index.php?ma...products_id=301
  15. I am after some Rays GT-c's in either 18x9's prefer gold if not silver. Let me know what offsets etc and we can go from there. Either a set or pair.
  16. I have a series 2 and have fitted a R33 dump and a series 1 stagea fujitsubo cat back which I am going to remove and fit a series 1 HKS silent I have lying around.
  17. If someone wants to fit this bonnet to a R34 GTT, I have a pair of R34 GTR bonnet hinges.
  18. $655 with Nistune fitted for R33 http://www.k-tune.com.au/Parts_For_Sale.ews
  19. Yeah lost 2 weeks due to first painter stuffing me around. Even if I can get it together by them, it will not be tuned. Looked at the compliance plate on the weekend, have had the car just over 3 years!! No point rushing the last bit.
  20. Warning!!! I am a control freak. That is why I do as much work I can myself.
  21. I was a bit scared of the colour choice too. The pic's do not do it the full justice. In the flesh is the sunlight it really shines. The painter I used in the was amazing. The car will not need a buff, the finish straight off the gun is fantasic. He has a small collection of trophies in the office, just from one his customers cars. I just won best mustang 2009 in Australia and the owner gave him it to him as he did all the hard work. The orange car under the plastic is a genuine XY GT falcon phase 3, one family owner. It had recently been fully repainted by another shop for a cost of $30K and already has rust coming thru after 3 months. These 2 guys in the pics have the job of fully redoing it. One of them is my brother-in-law (panel beater). So to only get charged $200 to paint my car I am very lucky. Plus the $2000 in paint materials and my 100+ hours of prep work. It will be a little while till my car is fully back together and on the road. Starting tonight. the front end will be off to strip the engine bay (leave the bare engine in) to colour match and to remove the apexi turbo and fit the new Gt3076r, along with injectors, nistune, exhaust. As well as doing that, need to fit new rear brakes. sort the new bilsteins out and the change the interior. So hopefully it will be all done in the next 4-5 weeks. I have a few long nights ahead.
  22. Finally got the car painted today Left home at 4.45am with a good hours drive with the car on the back to the paint shop Got home by 5.00pm with everything all painted A few pic's of preping the body, a couple coming out of the booth and a few outside in the sun where the colour real shows off Very happy with the end colour and finish
  23. Is yours the old Viva garage one? Mine hits the booth tomorrow morning at 6.00am I have an hours drive before hand to get it there. Will be plenty of pic's tomorrow night if all goes well.
  24. I have parts from a series 2, but should fit the series 1 Brake pedal Foot brake and cable Maybe shifter (it is tipronic) maybe some other small bits, will need to check, bolt etc No flywheel You can have them, just pay the freight from Brisbane I do have the centre console, but you could leave that out.
  25. Hmmm, was the compliance shop aware it was a manual series 1? First step Have they confirmed they WILL comply it if you convert it back? If you do convert it back, you could maybe rent the parts from nisswreck or someone. Would take approx 6-8 hours with a hoist to convert it each way. Can you do it or do you have to pay someone? Might cost around $1000-1500 in labor alone. You will have to do your sums. and decide is it worth it. If you wreck it, how much will you get back verse the time to recover costs and effort compared to what it owes you Apart from the hole cut in the floor for the gear stick and the firewall from the clutch master cyclinder, everything else will bolt back it in. If it was me, I would convert to auto and back again.
