  1. Needs to be lower than that one I need measurements to back how low your car is guy's. If it sometimes scraps or hits something, that's all good and well. I want it be lower, so need to make sure I buy the right coilovers that fit the job! Only C34's need apply.
  2. No helper springs How low can the bilsteins go?
  3. I currently have a set of Tein Wagon coilovers in my car and have run out of adjustment to lower it any further on the front. The Tein spec's say 46mm max for the front and rears are 71mm for the rears. 4KG front and rear. The car needs to go a further 30mm in the front to get it looking right. The rear needs another 20-25mm which should be possible with the Teins as they have not run out of thread yet. The choice is to 1. Find another full set of coilovers 2. Change the fronts to a different style or brand maybe something from a GTR 3. Get new springs made for the fronts if possible. The shock might run out of travel. It is a bit hard to provide a accurate front measurement from the centre of wheel to top of the arch of the front guard, as I have a R34 front so it maybe different to the factory stagea guards. It is currently approx 355mm So what shock combo's are you running and what is the ride height measurements and much further can they go?
  4. I have a drives side seat rail. It looks like it is a Bride rail (I have another pair of Bride rails to compare it to) Surplus to needs. This is for a Stagea which requires a higher seat position than skylines. It will fit all R32's, R33's and R34 GTR, not GTT, but it will make you seat approx 30mm or so higher than stock. So if you are a short arse needing more height it will be fine Will ad pic tonight $130 plus delivery In Brisbane
  5. I think I used 12 off them. It was 18 months ago, so I might be wrong. Did you get 6 or 12? Once you have the car apart you will soon work it out.
  6. The small O rings that come with them will not suit an r34 I had to buy extra ones from an injectors guy, 12-off cost me $20 You need the larger ones in the pic. You can see the smaller O ring on the injector. You do not use these. Still available on Yahoo. These ones are $650 plus
  7. Just had a price on the VE rotors DBA series 5000, only ones in stock $695 each
  8. I have not priced the VE disc's yet and I am sure I will be shocked by the price. I assume these will be big $. Any idea of cost's? The brackets I can get made for free, thanks to brisabne city council workshops and both my father in law and little brother inlaw are both fitter and turners. Calipers, if in good nic are approx $600, custom brake hoses say $200, Pads? My current r34 brakes need new disc's $500 and pads $200 and I would like to get braided lines $200 while I am at it. So if I offset those costs plus the sale of the R34 gear $300 (approx $1200 there), it MIGHT not be that bad to upgrade. The price of the disc's will kill it Any new bolt on kit starts at $2200+ for cheap chinese kits and quickly go up from there fo brand name gear. I would think this setup I am looking at would be of higher quality than the chinese stuff? If these will not fit under my 18" wheels I might not bother. Please don't take this as me being a smart arse, or I know better. I don't. This is why I have asked these questions to confirm what I am in for. Does anyone have any pic's of these brackets on a car? I had a quick look last night at my car. Do the brackets generally mount to the front or the back of the stub axle? Looks like they will need to mounted to the back and be threaded as you would have to bolt thru the stub into the bracket. Is this right? If mounted to the rear, there will hopefully be enough meat in the bracket. I was thinking 12mm steel plate?
  9. I will check with the panel shop tomorrow and see what they say. Looks like it could be a flood car I buy new car parts and slip them under the magic bench in the workshop, but a whole car might be a bit hard to get past the wife. She said no more cars. I have built 3 others since that comment. What is one more....
  10. What do you know about this car? I saw it just over a week ago at a panel beater near my work. They had the front stripped to quote. They do all the high end $300K plus cars I have a spare $160K at the moment, stuff the house reno's. It goes to auction on the 24th. I think I might have a look. . . I just checked, it is listed in the storm/flood affected vehicles
  11. Without seeing the car in person it does not look that bad. $3500 I thought would be on the money for a full front cut less mechanical. I have done over 6-7 similar cars in the past and never spent that much on a front cut. They were all jap cars. The high repair bill be for alot of labour dropping motor and gearbox, stripping engine bay, removing full dash to repair fire wall, painting inside were welding new rail to fire wall etc. If you were a back yarder and did all this donkey work yourself, like I use to, I would guess/estimate work needed to be done by a panel builder and painter to be $3000-4000 plus parts. Speaking of parts, what ever happened to the 2 2004 stagea's that could not be complied. Surly someone is stripping them, 2 perfect fronts on them
  12. The donor car uses 360x32mm disc and 115x5 pcd, but the hat height is approx 70mm and the hub size is approx 72mm so would need to reduce this to 68mm which is too much effort That is why I was looking at the VE disc because nearly all the dimensions are the same. Just had a look at my R34 gtr wheels currently using 310mm r34GTT calipers and there is only 27mm clear. depending on the brembo size, the might not fit May have to go to 19's
  13. I am looking at a front brake upgrade with 360x32mm disc and 4 pot brembo calipers from a big yank car. These calipers can be had for approx $600del a pair. I have found VE HSV 365mm commadore discs can be made to fit fairly easy. Need to change the hub diamater from 67.4mm to 68mm, change the stud pattern from 5x120 to 5x114.3 and machine the disc diameter from 365mm to 360mm to suit the calipers. I could probably leave them at 365mm. The VE hat height is 54mm and skyline 53.75mm. The VE disc thickness 32mm as well. So looking at those numbers, I think it should not be too hard to make these to fit. Unless I have missed something? Now need to mount the calipers. I can draw up the brackets in cad to give to a machinest I have access to. What material can/should they be made from Mild steel? Weight a problem? Alloy? Grade? Steel insets? I have seen pic's of brackets/dogbones. Has anyone got some as any example Pic attached of the front and rear calipers
  14. Might be able to buy the mounting brackets from this mob http://cgi.ebay.com/345mm-200SX-Skyline-GT...%3A2%7C294%3A25 http://cgi.ebay.com/345mm-200SX-Skyline-GT...%3A1%7C294%3A30 These are kits about $1800 delivered
  15. just had a quick search www.wilwood.com They look nice http://info.wilwood.com/BrakeKits.aspx?yea...&model=350Z They do a kit for 350Z, so they will fit M35's?? They do a kit for 240sx(our 200sx with out a turbo) as well. . . hmm wonder if they will fit the C34 Looking on ebay.com, looks you can new calipers for $165us each? Need to do a bit more research
  16. Well I would like the rears if someone wants the fronts.
  17. For the hose to the power steer pump I bought a brass nipple with thread on one end from autobarn Drill a hole in the underside of the cross over pipe above the pump and screw it in. The alloy pipes are fairly thin so I used some liquid metal, comes in a tube to create a nice fillet onto the nipple. Has been like that for 18 months. works well. Did the same for a boost feed as well if needed.
  18. This might be no help This is a pic of a series 2 front bar REO part number
  19. pretty sure justjap have them $6 each http://justjap.com/store/home.php?cat=315
  20. Pretty flash mate You will need to design and get milled a set of adaptors out of alloy or something to get them to bolt on I would also look at bigger diameter rotors while you are at it Maybe some bigger brembo GTR rotors. I think they are 328mm or similar? Will they fit under your 17" r34 GTT wheels?
  21. I am in Brisbane if you need to borrow my ecu for a day. No need to spend $2500. There are always some for sale on Yahoo japan for approx $150-200 landed here. If you need help buying let me know
