  1. try buying your parts thru www.nengun.com (they are in Japan) They are only $375 USD new for the right ones
  2. I went thru 8 pages of search results on pull clutches. A few thread explained how to remove the gearbox box from the engine by releasing the clutch fork, but they did not mention how to reinstall Is there any secerts to installing a pull type clutch, or is it the same method as a push type. Do you just fit the clutch up to the flywheel as normal and have the throw out bearing on the input shaft of the gearbox and then reinstall the gearbox? Do you have to do anything tricky with connecting the clutch fork? Any quick answer would be great.
  3. Wrong SF-DIS-005 for series2 R33 or series 1 Stagea SF-DIS-008 for R34 gtt or series 2 Neo stagea
  4. My turn for a answer Q2. Depends how much power you want. Stay to approx upto on a NEO 200awkw and you can do with stock turbo and injectors. If you want more, say 250awkw then the price doubles with new turbo, injectors and replacement ecu. Q3. I just paided $1153 a year for large list of mods incl R34 front and 300kw at engine and a car value of $25k and I am 34 Q4. I have done the front conversion, budget on $4.5k for parts, plus labour and painting approx $2K, sell your old front for $1.5-2k Q5. They are big and heavy
  5. Even thuo some of the nissan wheels look the same, the airbag module/plugs are different and some have different black boxes built into the wheel behind the airbag module. I had a pair of R33 GTR steering wheels. They turned out one was from a series 2 GTR and the other was from a series 3 GTR. I have seen a few stagea's in Japan with r34 GTR wheels, but not sure if they have the airbag plug in. Could maybe use a r34 GT or S15 wheel? Best chance is to try and get something from the same year as your car I have been looking for a Momo factory option wheel for a while, but most for sale are for other model cars. My car is in at the moment getting gearbox converted to manual, so I do not want to keep the tripronic steering wheel. but the buttons on the wheel could come on handy for NOS
  6. They only have the split type for $250 and the Xforce bell mouth for $330 now You can also now get the s/steel split type (same as the JJR one) for $199 on ebay from another seller, but only good for r32/r33
  7. That is what I used, but not cheap in s/steel $350
  8. No, but I have 2 shiney s/steel split dumps, never used for R33's
  9. Apexi turbo's are based on IHI turbo's
  10. I spoke with Bos importing aswell. He tried to tell me I needed a r34 dump for my series 2 not a r33. R34 dumps are longer and a different shape under the car. It would have not fitted. Another SAU member in Brisbane has a R34 Bos pipe for sale which I had a look at and it would not have worked I also spoke with Alexcim about his Bos R33 split on his car and even though it fitted, it still had clearance problems. Also spoke with Rev210 about his JJR split on his car and he had clearance issues aswell even though he still fitted it. So out of all this, until someone makes a stagea specific dump pipe, the ones that are off the shelf for r33's are not a perfect fit.
  11. S1 would be the same The main thing learnt out of this, is what ever dump you use it must set down lower to clear the floor and then set back up to cat converter, ie not run straight to the cat.
  12. The moulds are finally ready and the guards can be bought for $550 pair from DMD the Image. All sales go thru them. (I am not getting anything in return from sales) The first set have already been sold which will end up on Australia's first 4.1L turbo V8 powered Stagea!
  13. Any chance you want a full series 2 interior, front and rear seats and 4 door trims
  14. That is the plan, but instaed the of the gearbox being 1 day, the car will be there all week. So as long as it does not get held up, it will be there. Only got the front guards back form getting copied on Saturday lunch time and car was not back together and drivable till 12.30am today. It will not look to pretty with silver body, black guards, gtr purple bonnet, white front bar and pearl white ganador mirrors and no side skirts or rear bar, but it will be there.
  15. I finally got a dump pipe to fit I used a R33 Xforce bell mouth dump pipe Fitted pretty good, but had to create a bit more clearance by removing approx 3-4 mm from the end of the gearbox cross member and massage the floor where the gearbox cross member bolts on. Pic to follow. . .
  16. Well for nearly 12 months I finally got to drive my Stagea for the second time today. Got to drive it the mechanic's shop to get the gearbox changed to manual, no more tiptronic I have done the apexi turbo, tomie type b cams, fmic, teins, r34 brakes and full exhaust and r34 gtr front Still needs power fc, injectors, fuel pump and z32 airflow meter installed and then it can be dynoed and then get painted.
  17. Now it is a track car Grant, you can squeeze some 12 wide rims under rear and still keep the 215 wide tyres.
  18. Looks great, welcome aboard Which suburb do you live in?
  19. That will be a approx 30-35 min drive I do not think leetom can make it till 2.00pm
  20. Had a look and compared a R34gtt bosimporting non split dump pipe tonight to the R33 JJR split I current have The R34 dump was approx 100mm longer than the R33 one. Also compared the R33 JJR pipe to the standard series 2 factory exhaust and the length from the turbo to cat flange was the same. So a R34 will not fit. Will have to find a R33 one that will miss the floor.
  21. The plan is to meet at Victoria Point at a park/bbq area at 12.00pm. The park is Yeo Park in Eagle street, Victoria Point Turn into Thompson Street off Colburn avenue. There is several undercover bbq area and electric bbq's Playground for the kids and a sandy beach. Bring there bikes aswell (that's why we have stagea's) Plenty of parking. Will meet approx half way along the park which is about 500m long. My contact number is 0404 075 314 I will send out a pm to everyone that is interested edit I have sent out approx 11-12 pm's, so if all come that would be great
  22. This pic is the JJR split dump. Note that the pipe is straight as circled and this is where it hits the car. The second pic is JJR bell mouth design. Note the is a offset in the straight pipe which should miss the car This could be the problem? Also spoke to Bosimporting and they told me that I need a R34 dump for the series 2 and r33 dump for the series 1. This does not make sense as they are they same floor pan and the motor and turbo are in the same position. But the r34GTT dump is 20-30mm longer in length and the cat is also longer in a r34 GTT. So why would it fit?
  23. I have no dealt they fit R32 and r33, because that is what they were designed for. I had no problem with having to extend the vertical section to miss the floor, but I do have a problem with the warped flange. I am not prepared to fill the gap with sealant. It is that bad. When I ordered the pipe thru JJ, Daron was not sure which one exactly fits and had mixed reports from customers. So he agreed to send me with with the chance of a refund if it did not work. so that thats what will happen. R34 dump pipe is longer by approx 20-30mm and has a extra mounting bracket which could be cut off if not needed. I have not measured or compared one to a R33, but that is what I have been told by JJ All the people that have fitted some sort of dump to a Stagea have used R33 ones. Just to be clear, this thread is not to put down Justjap's products or quality, but to simply find a solution to my problem. Justjap's understanding and service has been great. So bascially I am back to square one.
  24. Looks like I will be sending it back So the next step is to try the next expensive one $400+ Bosimporting If that fails, CES at $650 for mild steel one might be the go Need to get on the road by Monday to get manual gearbox fitted. . .
