Boss Kit And Steering Wheel
darrinspencer replied to Tangles's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Another option is to fit factory GTR seats, they bolt straight in and sit about 2-3 inches lower plus they feel and look alot better. -
Boss Kit And Steering Wheel
darrinspencer replied to Tangles's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I have also seen r34 GTR wheels on Stagea's in Japanese cars, not here Would still need to check thuo, that the airbag will still work, The jap's can do some doggy things sometimes There was a r34 GTR wheel on ebay this week for $350, or yahoo for $100-300, just need the OD size. -
Boss Kit And Steering Wheel
darrinspencer replied to Tangles's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just thought, by the time you buy a boss kit and wheel, you maybe better of getting the factory optional Nissan Momo airbag wheel. I am not sure what OD they are, but they should be smaller, plus you retain the airbag and stay legal They sell for approx $250-450 on yahoo. Some people on here have them, so maybe they can confirm what size they are I have attached 2 pic of momo options, plus a rear pic of a series 2 R33 wheel so you can compare it your Stagea wheel -
Boss Kit And Steering Wheel
darrinspencer replied to Tangles's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I removed my airbag wheel on my R33 series 1.5 It is not legal and insurance will not like it either You will need to get a boss kit that is airbag compatable The usual cheaper ones for $70-100 will not work When I bought mine, I only found 2 places to buy from, but that was a few years ago UAS $250, Advan $200 at the time I just checked UAS and they are now $290! So ring around I have seen them on Yahoo for around 7500yen, $85 plus the usual shipping fees etc Greenline list one for 10,505yen approx $115 plus $30-40 delivery, which is way better than $290! http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bccatpar...tegory=interior I would get one from greenline, alot less hassle and cost. You should be able to use a R33 one, but ask the question, because even a r33 series 2 and 3 GTR wheels are different. Not in looks but in the airbag module plug setup. I learnt this from experience, plus as we all know Stagea's are a r33 and r34 mix of parts, esp between series 1 and series 2. Also Stagea auto's do not have hicas, unlike r33 and r34's -
R34 GTR hinges are approx $70-80 each Will need 4 8mm nuts to fit bonnet Will also need a GTR bonnet catch $70-80 May also need GTR bonnet catch support $70 Prices will vary, depends if you get trade price or not I found all this out fitting a R34 GTR front to my Stagea I tried to use R34 GTT parts first, but they did not work.

Questin To Follow Up The Buyers Guide
darrinspencer replied to teamplasma's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
My series 2 has some on the drivers door. It will get fixed and painted when I get the R34 front painted shortly Not too big a problem to repair like any other rust spot. All depends how bad the rust is. Worst cause is a hole, so the fix would be weld in a small patch. If it has not rusted right thru, then it is as simple as grinding back and treating the spot, then cover with a layer of filler. Finished off with a respray of the whole door. Would be around $200-400 a door depending on condition. A complete new door shell would be around approx $800-900 or approx $300-400 for a door skin plus labour to replace skin (generally 6 hours). You will also have cost to swap door internals and full respray. You will also need to check the trim along the top of the door is not damaged from the rust growing underneath. These can cost approx $150 each new. As the repair location on the door is close to the front guards, the colour match will have to be very good, otherwise the front guards will need to resprayed aswell to blend the colour in. So this could add $150-200 per guard. Because there is nothing worst than watching a car drive down the road looking like a zebra or a new silver BF falcon with a average factory paint job. -

FAST will be able to tell what ecu it is aswell PM Alexcim, he has it
-
The change over was on the late r32 GTR's 1994 models, not the R33's FAST is the Nissan parts number system You can enter a Vin number or engine number to verify what type of engine it is or if the car was a genuine 260RS etc or a fake Some people on here have it installed
-
R33 GTR and r34 GTR clutches are the same, both pull type The engine could just have a R34 cam cover, but the best thing would be to FAST the engine number
-
Have you seen the Justjap ones Good value at $400 See the trader section A possible reason your current radiator is struggling is that it is probably block with crap from years of use A cheap fix may be to get it cleaned out

Brad? Is this for a Stagea or R33 GTST, because your user details list a R33?

darrinspencer replied to croat's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Maybe look at the hydralic's Nismo make a bigger slave cylinder, that my help Maybe talk to some about modifing the master cylinder to get more pressure GTR's run a booster assist master cylinder, so maybe you could fit one of these. Would need to recess it approx 40mm into the fire wall thuo. A bit of work. (I do not really have a clue, but these are some thoughts) -

I have just fitted a full set of R34 GTT front and rear brakes. Instead of buying more expensive custom lines, I used the factory R34 GTT rear brake line. It bolted up between the caliper and where it connects to the main body. I have also used the r34 booster and master as they look bigger than the Stagea.

What I Hate About My Stagea
darrinspencer replied to 3intheBack's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
1: I have owned it for 12 months, and have only drove it 1 day! 2: 3: 4: that is all... -
Blitz body kits on the Gold Coast has the moulds, but they may not sell them direct. You would have to ask them, as I thought they were owned by Motorvation. I could be wrong thuo. They have both series 1 and 2 kits The series 2 bar on Alex's car was used for a mould of the top half to modify the series 1 dolphin bar tp suit a series 2
