  1. Well. after nearly 6 months to the day from when I first paided for the Stagea, I went toget it registered today. Went to get a RWC, could not get the car on the hoist due to the side skirts, so the mechanic said "Ahh, it should be fine under there" Went to check the front lights, the front parkers were not working, mechanic said "You will get around to fixing them" So with the RWC out the way, I went to the QLD department of transport. Filled out the right forms, waited another 30min to get served, went out side to get the vehicle checked. the lady could not read the engine number, so I read it out for her because it was too had to read. Luckly I had rembered the engine number from before hand. Went back inside with paper work inhand, she went thru everything, went off to talk to the supervisor and came back to tell me I needed the original import approval, not a copy. I got staight onto the phone to IAMSHE to ask for it. Phil advised me that after doing over 600 cars in QLD they never once need the original, a copy was fine. So it did not matter what I said they would not register it. I will have wait another 2 days to get the original and then it should be on the road. I have been waiting 6 months now, so what is another 2 days
  2. Had a few offers All a bit too low
  3. Stagea neo Rb25DET cam spec's Inlet 236 deg 8.4 mm lift Exhaust 232 deg 7.0mm lift These sound fairly tame? What are R34 neo spec's?
  4. So if the runners are smaller diameter, does that mean the inlet port size on the head is smaller aswell? Possibly check runners to head gasket part numbers between Stagea and R34?
  5. I have a R33 GTR shifter Not sure if they are the same In Brisbane if you need to come and have a look

  8. I have used these 2. www.rinkya.com Have bought over 50 items thru them. Fee's can be a bit hard to work out, but once you know it works well or www.fromjapan.co.jp used them once to try them out. Had no problems, their fees are alot more simple and easier to work out The advantage of using these companies is you get to bid your self. Bidding is live just like using ebay. No need to pay a deposit like with slidewise and let/wait for them to put a bid on a day or 2 earlier. It is not the best way to bid to get things at the best price. One thing with Yahoo auctions, if you place a bid within 5 minutes to go, the auction gets extended another 5 min. stops people doing "sniper" bids with 10 sec to go. The only disadvantage with these companies is you can only but items that can be shipped using EMS or sea freight size and weight limits. So this excludes things like body kits, engine etc I have used them to buy my Volk GTC and R34 GTR wheels with good success using sea freight, about 7-8 week wait. The fee costs using these Japanese companies or Slidewise work out to all be about the same. I have used Slidewise to get my R34 GTR front bar from JP, so the item could come in a container. Disadvantage was the wait of 4 months and you have to pay duty and gst , even if the item is under $1000 due to the fact the whole container assignment is under one name, so they get hit with customs fees. Also with slidewise the items via container come to Melbourne. Then you have to pay to get shipped again to you. I paided $400 for a complete genuine front GTR bar in Jp but the final cost to me in Brisbane ended up at $1070! It is not worth buying new items of yahoo, because once you add the all the extra fees/commissions they ended up alot more then using someone like Nengun etc. Sorry for the long response. Questions?

  23. Wheels The other posts are correct for same width front and rear, but only if your car is a 4WD If it is RWD, you can have different widths The offsets you have quoted are wrong Those wheels will sit too far in and most likely foul the suspension You need something more like +35 on a 8.5 rim and 9.5 rim may just not fit The biggest rim width most Stagea have on them are 9.0 +30 (33/34 GTR offset) and they run every close to sitting outside the guards Headlights These would have been zenon's from factory, but under compliance they have to be converted back to standard type bulbs. Unfortunitly you cannot convert the lights back to factory zenon bulbs, plus they are illegal.
