The New Manual Conversion Thread.
darrinspencer replied to Burns's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Too many questions, but I will have a go 1. Series 2 stagea master cylinder is the same as R34 GTT $115 new 2. Series 2 stagea clutch pedal is different. not sure why, but only $87 new plus $115 for the mounting bracket. No need to muck around, just fit it 3. Refer to number 2 4. The only reason I can think a GTR uses a booster on the master cylinder is so you can fit a heavier clutch to suit the power level a RB26 can/could produce I have ordered a Nismo slave cylinder as it bigger then the standard one, which will help with any heavier clutches $140 new If you use a 32 GTR standard push type gearbox the clutch kits are nearly half the price of the R33 GTR pull type R32 GTR gearbox $500-900 R33 GTR gearbox $850-1100, has been a few for sale lately for $1000 (lower k's than a r32) Fly wheel $50 plus machining $50 Clutch kit R32 $500 R33 $900 Clutch pedal, bracket and master and slave all new $460 R33 brake pedal and bracket $50 Handbrake R33 $50 Braided clutch line $100 Centre console $750 thru R33Stagea You can and will need to fit the handbrake at home when fitting the pedals etc. I was looking at my car the other day, I need to change my brake booster when I upgrade the brakes to R34 ones and thought once it is out it will give me enough access to drill the holes thru the fire wall to mount the clutch master cylinder. The only problem is tring to get them to line up in the right spot to suit the clutch pedal mounting bracket, which has studs that protrude thru the fire wall from the the inside to bolt the master cylinder to. -

R34 Front End On R33
darrinspencer replied to lineskee 33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
That is because it is a R33 GTR, not a GTST Car lives 5 min away from my house It normally sits in the garage beside his real R34 GTR -
I believe Ernie has sold NIZMO It is now run by someone else Mike Depends on timing, you may be able to use mine. I won't charge you too much! You have my number to discuss further What compliance price are they charging?

New Stagea, Few Questions
darrinspencer replied to decoyslikecurves's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It takes 1 day to do the work, but takes 1-2 weeks to get it inspected and the compliance plate delivered from DOTARS If you have bought this car, who did the compliance approval arrangement with NIZMO? They should have advised the costs before they issued the approval When I rang them, about 4-5 months ago, they were quoting approx $4000 plus GST plus tyres That why i went to IAMSHE, $2750 plus gst and tyres series 1, $3000 plus for series 2 Who/where did you buy the car? Here or from Japan? If you have a catback exhaust, they will or you need to remove that and fit a factory exhaust to get it complied NIZMO have changed hands in the few months, not sure who or waht the new owner is like If NIZMO issued the import approval, you have no other choice but to take it to them. -

Im Back, And Im Going Stagea!
darrinspencer replied to bbenny's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Series 1 or 2 I bought 2 Stagea's in one week from Japan First was a 98 series 1 Dayz model 109k with 17's was approx $13K landed and complied and tyres The second was a series 2 98 105k, full body kit, suspension, xenons for $14K landed and complied and tyres The differences the series 2 had that to justify the extra $1000 full bodykit series 2 tail lights Tipronic Better seat trim White dials KYB suspension Bigger SMIC R34 NEO motor colour coded side body moulds Update in build quality Remote central locking I would have done most of these mods to the series 1 and it would have cost alot more than $1000 to do -
IAMSHE have put the price up to $3000 plus GST plus tyres for a series 1 and $3250 plus for series 2 Still alot better than the other 2 compliance centres Has anyone tried the company in Melbourne? They are on the Dotars site

If it is a black one? PM me who is selling it There is or will be a doddy guy selling one up here that I know off, you want to be aware off
-
I am yet to see a Nismo version Yes Autech put all the good running gear in, so it is the same as a R33 GTR Brembo brakes, upgraded interior, their own body kit, shocks and springs, drive shafts LSD etc
-
The 260rs was built by Autech using a non turbo 4wd 25X and converting it to a Rb26 So they are the same
-
No it does not If you use the right complinace shop, they will have the stock parts in their shop and charge you $50/hr to swap them over and back again Best talk to the shop first and tell them the mods and get a price upfront, esp if you are in another state and can not do any of the work yourself
-
Wildcat The shop doing my compliance has stock parts in the shop ie shocks, wheels, exhaust Only charges $50/hr to remove and replace if needed, so maybe 2-4 hrs if needed Also, what does the WA shop charge for compliance out of interest? I was quoted $13,800 landed and complied Will be $13,450 landed and complied
