Ok
I measured up a Stagea and a R34 2 door centre console
You would need to cut the R34 console at the back of the gear stick surround and the same to the Stagea. Before cutting the Stagea one, you would need to check the mounting location of the R34 to suit the gear stick. Then trim the front half the Stagea console to fit.
The R34 console is about 10mm less in width from the gearstick back. it is about 5-10 mm wider at the front where it meets the dash.
Then you would need to do the same to the gear stick surround. A manual R34 gear stick surround and Stagea front. I would cut it across directly where the surround curves up under the ash tray.
So I think with a bit of playing around it could work
Once you are happy with it, then get it plastic welded.
I used a guy in Brisbane once, that once he had welded up the cut in the dash, he then used this white plaste over the repaired cut, and then heated it and pressed a rubber pad that has the same texture as your dash. The finish result was great. He then colour matched the dash, painted the area where he repaired it and it was nearly impossible to tell
It would alot of mucking around, but it would be better then spending over $2000 for the genuine item.
