OK. The gearbox in my 32 has always had a bit of a whining noise, its done 110,000kms so i dont blame it, and it doesnt get treated like a grandma sunday drivers car all the time. Ive heard people say its common for R32 GTST gearboxes to do this. I wanna know if anyone else has a bit of box whine. Cheers lads!

CAN an RB26 twin turbo naifold fit an RB25?

I think they fit but the bolt/stud patteren is different. Correct me if im wrong. -

The XR6T does have a lot of tunning potential and with a few basic mods will go quick, but to copare to a GTR - PLEASE! At the end of a day its still a ford If i had the cash id go buy a 34GTR or a 33GTR for 40g's and spend 40g's on it and then do the same with an XR6T just to see what its like, would be cool to have to monster fast cars......... Ill settle down now....

no worries champ! I think if i ever wrote my32 off id get the motor out and drop it in a 180 or an S13 for sure! Have you ran it down the 1/4 mile yet?

Pretty much the same wheight dude, mabye a few kgs heavier. As far as strength is concern an RB25 box is the same as a GTR box but does have a transfer case for 4WD, so she should withstand some punishment. How much power you making?

Also, at high revs it literally sounds like something is 'sparking' kinda like fireworks, followed by smoke coming out the exhaust. Sounds like its pinging

You can lip the ends by welding a small bead around the outside of the pipe. Works a treat!
