  1. another thing to consider is: will the spline comming out of the gearbox mesh up with the teeth on the clutch?
  2. intrested too - but on a R32 GTSt. Mine is making some weird noises.........
  3. this thirty2 guy sounds like a fool. i can understand where he is coming from when he says his commonwhore is quick - its a V8 - more bottom end torque and power in a the lower revs. A standard R33 wouldnt have as much power in the lower rev range, so mabye he has been blinded by the push rods? I own a R32 GTSt - it goes OK. I suggest you test drive one. Test drive a GTR then please come back and tell us what you think. But wait! I bet your 308 would still beat it right???? .......................
  4. i guess your referring to top end as around 6 - 7000 rpm?
  5. no worries man!
  6. make sure you get an air box for the pod(s).
  7. hmmmmmmmmm. I know of 2 people that have boxed up pods and both have engineers certs for it. They couldnt engineer it if they didnt box them. The workshop had to box the pods so it would be legal and the RTA and EPA were cool with it?
  8. heaps of people. use the search button and you shall gain more knowledge grasshopper!
  9. pretty sure it does
  10. same here. 3 inch turbo back with a high flow cat and a cannon. and its not a brand name one, it was from a local exhaust place.
  11. you should be OK for 200 - 250kw on the flywheel id say. Thats just my guess. Im sure many others will have the exact answer.
  12. is the sump baffeled? Like the trap door designs in sumps they use so you dont get oil surges or no oil pickup when going around a corner?

  14. do what i did: buy a cooler kit and a case of jim beam and cola. Have a can. Go to your mates place who has a set of ramps to put the car on. Have a can. Take off the bumper bar. have a can. Remove old side mount cooler. Have a can. Remove old piping for side mount cooler. Have a can. Cut holke for new cooler pipe. Have a can. Attach the cooler to the car (i put it on about 10cms offset to one side because i was a bit pissed by now) Connect up pipes. have a can. Put bumper bar back on. Have a can. Look at the cooler through the bumper bar and notice its ofset. yell, scream and curse and stumbell all over the shop. Take some photos and have a few more cans. Throw up because youve had too many. Have another can and pass out in the backseat of your car. Get woken up by best mates old man asking you why the fu(k you are sleeping in your car. Mumble something to him, pack up tools take car off ramps. Have a glass of water to make you feel better. Head to maccas for a greasy breakfast. Make sure it gets done properly! I still havent fixed it, you cant notice it much unless you look at it for a good 10 secs or so. I think ill fix it next weekend.
  15. First car: Mummy's 1989 Ford KC Laser 1.6L - got it for 1500 bucks of mum and then cut and polished teh paint and sold it for 3000 bucks! Second Car: 1989 Citroen BX 16 Valve 1.9L - Spent 8000 bucks on it keeping it on the road over 2 years - NO MODS. Very unreliable car, ugly but smooth to drive and had standard hydrolic suspension. Third car (current): 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 GTSt - 100% satisfied. Need i say more?
  16. why cant you put a box on the pod? it there is no box around it then all your car is doing is sucking hot air. Just buy an airbox and get an aftermarket pannel filter or get a box for the POD...........
  17. lowlifes! scary enough - i had been having problems with my central locking. It would lock but then would not unlock. Had to open my car using a screw driver and a coat hanger a few times until i had time to take the door trims off and fix the problem. I took the lock barrels out of my door locks and filled the hole with arildite to make it a bit more difficult for some bastard to steal. Now im a but scared because i can get into it so so easy. Good to see ya car wasnt nabbed or anything taken.
  18. spotted you in my driveway the other day showing off your massive beast!
  19. http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/au/st...sp?StockID=3389 http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/au/st...sp?StockID=3388 Hopefully this will give you a rough idea.
  20. From what i have read on websites and mags. The R32 GTR Nismo edition was like rocking horse shit - pretty rare. I think they only made 200 of them. Ive seen a few for sale on http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au And thats all i know.
  21. RB20DET with 3 inch egzorst anf FMIC running 13PSI. City Driving - 350km - 400km Freeway Driving 450km - 500km (drive from Syd to QLD last year and worked it out) Thrashing - The worst i ever got was 180km. Not too bad in my opinion..........
  22. check the turbos for shaft play. if your unsure on how to do this, take it to a mechanic and take off the turbos and get him to do it. watch him and learn.
  23. ive got footage of a full run through the Royal National Park. But its 700MB. After i edit it ill try to post it up
  24. cool idea but what i dont get is why would you have all these gauges in front of the passenger? Can you see them and read them from the drivers seat? If its a show car then thats all good. As far as fibre glassing and stuff, sounds good, but if its black you will see every bit of dust that sits on it. have fun
  25. check to make sure that the car isnt a half cut welded up to the back half of the car - look underneath at the chasis and the chasis rails for welds. The lower the kms the better - but they sometimes can be wound back. Rust - quater pannels and kick pannels near the doors and wheel arches could have rust spots. Get a compression test done on the motor - i cant remember what the average pressure should be on all cylinders. It varies with the amount of kms the car has done. All 6 cylinders should be roughly the same pressure - there will be some difference but there should be heaps. Check out these dudes: http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/ and http://www.justjap.com/ Give them a call or drop in and see them depending on your location. Good luck!
