  2. Werd to that! You can have a POD as long as it is in a box. There was a post on here ages ago about POD's vs Pannel Filters - Pannel filetsr came out on top. Also it works out easier and cheaper to get a pannell filter because then you dont have to worry about getting a new box for it - it goes straight into the stock airbox. As for the salesman - he should be shot. Go kick him in the nuts.

  5. from what you said - you got your head ported and polished. if you didnt get a full rebuild then you should have to worry about oil. If your car is chewing oil after getting a port and polish it sounds like they might have done a dodgy job. Take it to a mechanic and geta professional opinion. Is the car blowing smoke? Any oil leaks you can see on the ground? It could be many things that are making it chew oil. My car has done 130,000km (RB20DET) and it doesnt chew one bit of oil, has never been rebuilt or looked at. best of luck dude!

  7. i been using Mobil 8000 - i can say that its not too bad......... The first 2 tanks were sweet - but the thrid tank i got (all from the same servo) must have been a shit batch of fuel - my car was pinging - IT NEVER PINGS so im really hanging out for BP to come back on the market!!!!!

  9. So you havent even got the stock side mount intercooler hooked up? Are you refering to the piping off the RB20DET as in the piping and stock intercooler? Your best bet is to just save your pennies and get a FMIC kit. Or just buy a cooler and get an exauhst shop to pipe it up for you - you could do it all for 1000 bucks or less no probs. Also try using the search button.

  15. take the cooler off and run heaps of water and de-greaser through it. While your doing this try to shake the cooler so if there are bits and pieces stuck in there it will try to lodge them loose. Hope this helps!

  18. got pulled over in coffs harbour - formal warning for BOV. the very occasional pull over RBT and 2 neg driving tickets for flicking it out in the wet. now i have 1 point on my green P's with 3 months to go until i get my blacks, all i can say is i am very careful where i drive, when i drive and i dont speed at all. It took me a while to learn my lesson, save it for the race track - but yeah i hate it when you get power tripping copers! One of the randoms asked me to open the bonnet and show me where the BOV was - i pointed to the stock plumback BOV and he tried to write me a defect - i then question him why and stated that it was not an atmospheric BOV and i got followed all the way home (Coogee > Cronulla) Shits me to tears that cops could follow me home for almost 45kms but they cant be on the lookout for people comiting crimes and stuff...............
  19. From what you have been told is correct (sought of). A stock R33GTST runs 7psi - RB25DET. A stock R32GTST runs 10 psi - RB20DET. RB20's and RB25's use different turbos, the RB25 (R33) turbo is slightly bigger than an RB20 (R32) turbo - therfore it can make more power at a lower boost level. My R32 was running 10 PSI on my aftermarket Greddy Guage. After putting in a 3 inch turbo back egzorst it used to spike to 13psi and sit at 12psi all day - this is because the bigger egzorat is more free flowing and can get rid of gasses quicker - im sure on the exact technical term for it but thats what happens when you do egzorst mods to your car i.e: Air filter and egzorst.
  20. 25 box is the same as a GTR box just with now transfer case for front wheels. How much power you making? From what ive seen people say on here you should be sweet with up to 250 - 300 rwkw - after that i dont know..............

  22. My buddy has got a Mirage with the 1.6L Mivec motor in it and all the running gear out of the zMirgae's they used to race in the Mirage Cup. It was putting out 148kw on the front wheels, scary torque steer!!!!
  23. You will have problems with the motor idling if you have a stock ECU. Seen a few posts about it, best option is a Apexi PFC ECU and get it dynoed with the cams and ECU then you will be laughing.
  24. was the cop car a highway patrol car? or a normal cop car? try the rta website http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au - there mighr be some info on there...............
