  1. As title says, 160,000km, FMIC, 17"sparco alloys, tein adjustable suspension, cat back exhaust. http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...icle_id=3066166 $13,500
  2. I've just been searching for the same thing... A/C's playing funny buggers http://www.meggala.com/R32wiring.zip
  3. I've also just started having starter problems... R32 GTS4. Battery is reasonably new ~ 6 months, and appears fully charged on the battery charger. But wont turn over at all. Roll starts and drives fine, but won't turn over. Going to investigate the battery more tonight, otherwise the mechanic'll look at it tomorrow. I'm hoping its a new battery : )
  4. I'd recommend checking your earth. In my experience that seems to be the first port of call for whacky issues... before you start thinking about faulty amp or speakers or something. The earth connection to the body of the car needs to have good, solid metal to metal contact. ie. take a bit of sand paper and scrap off the paint where the earth-bolt-loop-washer thing will be contacting the car body.
  5. Gday, I want to put an R32 GTR bar on a R32 GTST, just wondering if this is done with a stock GTR bar or whether they are custom aftermarket units for the job? Only thinking about how the GTR has fat gaurds where the GTS doesn't and how this may mean the stock GTR bar won't easily fit... Cheers.
  6. Sick, i'm going to go home a choppy choppy so I'll have the fastest sardine can on the road. nah, good way to prove a point though.
  7. Double clutching is more for the gearbox than the clutch. the idea is that when you have the clutch up and the box in neutral - between gears, that you spin up the gearbox internals. Kind of doing the syncros job for them, or making it easier on the syncros anyway. Heel and toeing is basically a technique developed for racing, ie. the car is braking so hard already that any attitional engine braking would make some of the wheels lock up, so you match the revs to the speed and gear to avoid any engine braking. I started playing around with these techniques on the street just for fun and find myself doing it more and more now. Heel and toe into a quiet round-a-bout blast through it a feel like a race car driver...
  8. Double clutching is depressing the clutch, shifting out of the gear and into neutral, releasing the clutch, giving the engine a squirt on the accelerator - or not depending on your technique, then depressing the clutch again and selecting the next gear. Double clutch - as in you do the clutch action twice. Heel and toe is used on down shifting while braking, right foot on the brakes, then you want to change down a gear at the same time. So you put use your left foot to depress the clutch, then with you right toes still riding the brakes swivle your foot to give the accelerator a squirt - and try to match the revs to what they will bein the next gear, with your heel whilst changing gears, then release the clutch...
  9. A/F ratios are one thing, advancing the timing is another. Also it's possible that the most ecomonical A/F ratios do not provide the best power... But at the end of the day, I doubt it would make that much difference on an NA falcon.
  10. It's most likely just in the tuning - think about it, the majority of people that convert to LPG are only really interested in the cost savings - not potential power upgrade. Also just because it's higher octane doesn't automatically mean more power, if you put a higher octance petrol in your car more than likely you won't pick up much, if any extra power. All a higher octane number means is its more resistant to detonating, meaning you can run more aggressive ignition timing and/or more boost, and in turn getting more power.
  11. Speaking of turbo v8's... Good son of rajab!
  12. Also, all gas systems use a carby setup, meaning you'll never get perfect mixtures at mid throttle, midload situations. All the fuel maps on your CPU will not be required... To have a properly setup hipo gas system you would most likely require some changes to your engine, as per the hotter combstion point above and also I think LPG lacks some of the lubrication qualities that petrol has... And the weight/space dissadvantage, but you do get very cheap 100 RON+ fuel.
  13. I'd be looking at the fuel system... If you say the same thing happens when you go around a corner on 1/4 tank.
  14. Can you guys tell me what trans you are using/plan to use with the 1uz? Sticking with an auto or a manual conversion? If so what? Thanks...
  15. The BOV line? That's after the throttle body, wouldn't that create some issues? All wastegate actuator lines that I have seen are conected to the piping somewhere between the turbo outlet and the throttle body...
  16. The RB25det was availible in R32's at the end of the run. So a 1994 half cut would seem to be legit.
  17. Yeah, for the meteor... GTi-R cooler is my preference, but i think it'll be just too big. The ccoler will fit, but i need to get the pipe back to the other side. So both the inlet and the outlet are on the same end. I'll need to have a good look at the car, and see if it can work. So yeah, I'm just exploring my options at the minute. I don't think even cutting down a truck core would work, i've never seen one less than 600 wide - which is what i need. If anyone's got any other suggestions then please feel free to share them...
  18. Hey, Can any of you post a pic or two of a stock 33 intercooler. I'd also really like to know the dimensions as well. I'm thinking of buying two, then getting new endtanks made up to join them and make 1 bigger intercooler... Thanks.
  19. Plus the oil sump modification... I can't remember if it's this forum or the SDU forum, but there's a guy called Sydneykid, who from what i can gather works at or is associated with a performance shop that does RB30DET's. I think i read they have one in their shops race skyline. He might be someone to answer your questions... Also Nizpro in melbourne have built an extreme RB30DET, with a 26 head i believe, there's details of it on Autospeed.com
  20. You can go here to see a DIY short shifter - it's on a micra, but the idea's the same. http://www.micra.hl.com.au/project/drivetrain.asp
  21. Hey, Isn't the R32 computer tuneable? I may be wrong but i thought that it was possible to access the maps on an R32 and change them... Might be cheaper than PowerFC.
