  1. Can you take a picture of the the boost table? Going by how you said the car drives either the ECU is targeting boost late in the RPM range or you have a boost leak which is causing a delay. As someone mentioned before I was running the Gen 2 6466 on a RB25 and boost ramp up was happening around 3-3.5K RPM. Tuning wise we targeted "MAX BOOST" during the ramp up to ensure the wastegate was completely closed. With a better flowing RB26 head you should see boost at that time if not earlier. On one of my many dyno sessions my car was only seeing 25 lbs around 5K RPM. Come to find out I had a large leak around the IAC valve. These turbos are workhorses, they will build boost even with a sizeable leak.
  2. Hi Everyone, I originally posted this in the Precision turbo section. S1 RB25 Kelford 270 cams supertech valve train Precision 6466 @ 40 lbs single scroll .81AR CP pistion stock bore and compression Manley rods Balanced and blue printed block Otaku manifold ID2000 on E85
  3. spools insanely quick. that ramp up is within 1000 RPM. It takes off like a rocket. I roll race so I needed the snappy response. single pulse, 44mm wastegate , T4 - 81 AR
  4. S1 RB25, Kelford 270 cams, supertech valve train (stock sized), CP pistons (stock bore and compression), Manley rods, balanced crank/ block. Otaku manifold, ID2000s
  5. Hi Guys, sorry it has been so long. here are the results from my 6466 @40psi. The car is a different animal now, had to get some drag radials to put down the power.
  6. Ended up with a .81AR
  7. Borgwarner S366 on my current Borgwarner setup? 88AR
  8. that is going to be hard to find. Most RB / JDM car tuners like working with larger platforms like AEM and Haltech. you need to find someone that knows the ECU well, not so much the motor.
  9. Yes that is right. CEA GEN2 6266. Single scroll T4. Will do! i can't wait to install it. just need a few things beforehand, (5 BAR map sensor, fittings ,etc). I was told the 6466 really wakes up around 25 lbs. I only have a 3.5Bar sensor, so I would run out sensor range fairly quickly.
  10. Happy New Years All! Quick update I purchased a 6466. should be installing it within the next few weeks. I'll post the new dyno graphs when I tune the car
  11. Reliable in the sense of less stress on the motor. A RB30 will make the same amount of power with less boost just to the increased displacement (in theory).
  12. The stroker / RB30 would be just to make more reliable power. thanks for the suggestion! the 6466 with different turbine housings sounds like it would be the most flexible approach.
  13. I'm running a AEM V2 ECU and it controls the boost I went with this turbo at first because it is reliable and cheap for the power i wanted. The car was originally a weekend street car and didnt mind the laggy and very lazy turbo. Recently i have been doing more drag / roll racing events so that very late power band isnt working for me anymore. i literally have to chase every race, its a great top end car but down low i might as well be N/A. Yes, intend on staying with the T4 open housing so I won't have to spend too much money for an already expensive upgrade. I am definitely looking for some headroom for other mods (stroker / RB30) in the future. Looking for a turbo i can run now and not have to toss aside when i do the next setup.
  14. Here is a pic of my dyno sheet ( Borg warner S366 T4 .88 AR) . S1 RB25, Kelford 270 cams, supertech valve train (stock sized), CP pistons (stock bore and compression), Manley rods, balanced crank/ block. Otaku manifold, ID2000s . Revs to 8K on E85 @30 lbs. As you can see the turbo is pretty laggy to come on. I'm actually in the market for a PT 6466 or 6870. I'm torn between the 2. looking for some advice. The goal is to move the power band to 4000-4500 while still maintaining the current power.
