  1. Link to purchase?
  2. Yeah, I agree. Though I haven't solved my dead #6 cyl yet. I was hoping these wires were the culprit but no dice.
  3. It looks worse than it really is because I have pulled all the wires apart while investigating.
  4. I don't think any solder was used. Please bump up your post count on someone else's posts.
  5. Let me check under that blue tape.
  6. Where do you see solder?
  7. I'm trying to solve a dead #6 cylinder issue. Today while I was troubleshooting the blue/white wire from the ecu i noticed a lot of suspect wiring and things that don't look oem. What do you think? Are these oem connections? Blue tape? Silver wire/ that seems like shielding from 2 larger wires but they are grounded by the black wire. I know the electric tape on the wires going to the ground junction connector are not oem. Note the clear wire coming out of the brown wire that goes into the ecu. The clear wire is oem? Just wondering about everything else. Am thinking maybe this car had an aftermarket ecu or interface installed at one time and this is the result of it being removed.
  8. Just full bolt on's & HKS plugs. Not sure about the fuel pump yet.
  9. #11 right?
  10. Spark plugs are brand new.
  11. Is it possible a bad cas would make only one cylinder look dead? Compression test came back fine. When I unplug the injector the motor stumbles slightly but when I unplug the coil nothing happens. It is currently running on 5 cylinders. #6 is dead. A different ignitor and new coil harness did not help either. I also swapped coil locations but the problem stays in #6.
  12. That was my next question if there was a way to look up the stage of the mines mods.
  13. Is there a FAQ on how to troubleshoot the ignitor and ignitor wiring to the #6 cyl cop?
  14. What's the difference between these 2 ecu's? hitachi # mec-r128 & mec-r280?
  15. That's the info I was looking for since I've never taken one of these apart. Was hoping you could unbolt the piston from below without removing the crank.
  16. This is my first r32 gt-r. I bought it with what seems to be a dead cylinder #6. Will be doing a compression test soon. My question is this, can you access the #6 piston from the bottom if I remove oil pan? I know I'd also have to remove the head to remove the piston from the top. I was thinking of flex honing the cylinder and installing new rings.
  17. This is my first gtr.
