I run a r4c with a ppg gtr gearset in mine and it’s fine. Straight cut dog engagement on the street and track. Around town you just double clutch to stop the clunk. It holds the 540kw I feed it, you get used to it, guess it’s the price you pay

Single piece tail shaft
WR33KD replied to couchboy's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Only problem I have with the 1 piece is changing diffs, you have little to no room to side the driveshaft back and forth. Apart from that it’s a 3.5inch one and it’s fine, track has seen north of 220 with ease, car already makes lots of noises but driving it around town is no problem. Oh and dropping the gearbox is a pain but it’s the price you pay -

You should have just run a non hicas r200 frame and arms and knuckles to suit, way less stress and it’s a way cleaner look under the back -

20 litre e100s is the best bet here and just have a ethanol gauge and mix it at the track -
Cusco Type-RS v Nismo Pro LSD (1.5 way)
WR33KD replied to R3N3's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I’ll have a r200 nismo 2way with extended diff cover for sale once I get my other one back. It’s a 4.3. i would say I’ll take you for a spin but my car makes all the noises a car shouldn’t so you don’t really get a true feel but there amazing but it doesn’t make the diff any stronger you still brake crowns and pinions -

Are you got to 4&rota this weekend? Always a good place to see what others have done and doing to get ideas on how to do things -
Sending my car in for a 360kw setup next month, need advice.

There are lots of uses for a low/high setting. Low is for city driving and still having a good time then high turns everything on does just have to be a low/high switch. Options are almost endless. Dont over think it keep it simple -
These Wilwood only set me back $2800. Better stopping and not really a huge cost when people want $1500 got beat up 33 brakes

I have one in my shed, didn’t end up using it. Doesn’t have a cut out for that just 2 holes for factory pipes and a lid. Google them https://plazmaman.com/product/r33-gtst-air-box/ -

I have a plasma man intake box for the 33, replaces the stock air box -
In the 6 years I have had my 33 never once spat a belt. Don’t even have a fancy balancer, still stock.

So this was town driving with stop starts hitting 50kph did get to 82 at the lights when stopped and this is open road driving doing 100-110

I have run twin fans for years now, drag race track race and street drive and have never had a problem with it ever. Car sees street use and might hit 82 and night drives sits around 76. Dont know why people bang on them. They’re perfect and easy to control. Hottest car gets is doing a staging burn out that can go for 20secs and it will hit 92 and then after the run it’s back to 82. I’ll take a video of it tonight to prove my point that’s it’s better than stock

I’m heading to the rotokauri transport hub tonight for a meet if you have some free time pop in -
Don’t let people scare you off trying to do things or by buying parts that you don’t really need. I just got my 25 back and it pushed 540rwkw on 28psi with a little meth. where there is a will there is a way. Save money on some parts to be able to spend more on others

This is a s2 r33 with a s1 headlights and a gtr bonnet with a 400r bumper

That’s a harness thing. Having good seats is one thing, being stuck in them is another

Latched Launch Control. G4+ and G4x have this feature. Just push and hold the button and the engine won’t rev passed that point. I have it installed for roll racing, grab the button at 4500rpm+ and it will make boost then release for warp speed

Going to test the injectors and see if number 3 was a little weak. Apart from that we have no idea yet -

So number 3 has died. Pulling the motor and doing a rebuild. Kinda sad it only lasted less than 10000kms but better to be safe than sorry and grenade a motor -

Just a small update. Got a burnt valve in number 3 so gotta pull the head and get it to the shop asap. Going to test the injectors and see if it’s a bit bad. Apart from that my tuner has been super busy so car hasn’t changed -

Sorry not much of an update as the tuner had an engine failure so had to spend time fixing it. But I do have a pic of the turbo. Both at HRC40rs but one is bigger than the other
