R33 Coupe (WR33KD)
WR33KD replied to WR33KD's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Cheers guys, not my handy work that’s for sure. Mike at Sinco customs does a mean arse job that’s for sure. How you can kinda see why a 4” wouldn’t fit under there with the waste gate next to it -

So today I got some pics and a message saying the car was ready for pick up at 230 but was way to deep in home renos to stop and go get it but here is some pics of what it looks like As you can see the waste gate runs along the exhaust to exit behind the passenger compartment and a v clamp to make chasing the diff over a little less stress full -
Cheers for that guys, my knowledge of dynos and tubing is next to zero hence why I pay the pros to do it as it goes way over my head. We have the 1000nm army guys over here and it gets me every time that my 400kw can beat there 500kw every time and the it’s hard to believe who’s telling the truth when it comes to power
-
I asked this question a while ago about dyno sheets but with a tcf of 1 isn’t that engine power and with a tcf of 1.1 or higher wheel power? i went through a low talk with a guy here in nz to get my 400kw sticker. My tcf is set to 1.1 as I’m only 2wd and 1.2 for 4wd or am I only the wrong page or am I reading the wrong book

R33 gtst 400R style body kit
WR33KD replied to Publicmouse4's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
cant get a new 400r bumper any where in the world, mine is as is a rep to, I cut the centre piece out as it looks dumb and added my own front lip. No the indicators as way different. Normal GTRs have that little duct insert with the indicator on it where the 400 has to sucken in holes where there indicator is mounted -
What’s the clearance like getting to the stub axles on the rear diff?

R33 gtst 400R style body kit

The 400r bumper didn’t have a solid lip piece in the middle. I have a 400r bumper on my r33 We cut the centre piece out and glasses over the little join marks to make it all one. If you do end up getting one look for indicators that for the little hole now as it took me sometime to find the right size. As for the wheel flares I’m wasn’t a huge fan of them as then did look silly when there put on a gts maybe on a gtr with wider guards it wouldn’t look bad -
Nope. Need to mod one of the back mounting holes on the bracket to get them to line up

Got news about the exhaust that it will be all done next week so starting to talk with tuner for when I can get it up to Auckland bit apart from that nothing else to report -
looks to have been done and the done again and then done again just to be safe but wait then it was done again for safe measure then just to double check it was done again. They even sell mounts for the 32 for the Barra swap
-
There is a guy here in NZ that out one in a red and black s15, did a track day and he blew my doors off. Was crazy fast. Whispers in the wind where saying upwards of 700whp. Dont no what the cost difference for the swap vs modding a rb25 would be tho

Intake temps on a hot summers day get up around 50 and that’s on 98 going for a retune in the next couple weeks going to push for 500kw on pump. intake temps are always low with mine has great flow and even the water doesn’t go much passed 95 on the track -

I’m running a cheap cooler and it’s doing it’s job for over 400kw. Think it set me back $200. -
It was through the club store via online banking

WR33KD replied to WR33KD's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
So while the misses was at work I got to ordering parts. New power steering lines, braided clutch line, fibreglass I take light. NRG horn button and a indicator extraction arm. Have no idea when it will arrive but NZ is going to lvl3 as of next Tuesday so maybe I’ll have the car back by next Friday as I won’t be going back to work u til the kids go back to school. Also after reading Doses build thread I have been doing mods to the house also, have to keep the fingers busy -

Yeah, im not even sure when Sinco goes back either. Also a question for the pros out there. How does the clutch feel if I remove my factory clutch lines in favour of a braided line? -

So this bad boy turned up yesterday, love when parts arrive but your car isn’t home. this has been a longtime find, I know gktech do one but there not in production of them right now. Its should help the diff out now that it can hold another .9l of diff oil and being fined should help keep it cool. -
