  2. My 044 doesn't seem all that much louder than the pump I had in there before...but I guess that wasn't completely quiet
  3. For the street it's not a bad combination at all in my experience (short at 6 days so far but I love it) Power comes on very strong on boost and is an absolute blast to drive. Do you know what exhaust housing the car you are looking at has?
  4. Yeah it is streetable...will light the 265's up in second just on acceleration which is a lot of fun. I am very wary about corners though...as hitting boost on a corner might be dangerous until I get used to it its putting down 306rwkw but haven't had a chance to run a 1/4. Only got to drive the car for 6 days after the mods installed before leaving back to London for another 4 months...so when I get back will be able to drive it a lot more.
  5. I agree...dont go as big as the 1.06 exh housing. I have the .82 exh housing and have full boost by about 4500rpm (with cams) It is a great turbo that comes on with a hell of a rush With other supporting mods like ecu, bigger injectors, fuel pump, FPR etc I have no bad comments on it. You could go the .63 exh housing for faster spooling... Cheers JB
  6. I had a similar problem with my gearbox...driving along and then got jammed in neutral in the middle of a gearchange. After a while (10 minutes or so) of trying it was ok again until the next day then it did the same thing. Unlike the problem JETR-32 had, I could work the gears fine with the car off...because the problem ended up in the clutch. Was caused by a busted spring from the centre plate of the clutch which stopped it from engaging to allow the gear change.

  8. Why not replace them? If you want around 500cc there are a lot of choice and they aren't hat expensive and they will drop straight in...maybe needing collars if you go for the sards. Nengun sell all brands delivered to your door - HKS 550cc $158 ea Sard 550cc $710 all up Nismo 555cc $161 ea. Not sure what the price would be on the hi flowing of your stock injectors, but for the price difference and flow reliability I would be replacing them Cheers JB

  11. Yeah...mine has successfully passed the pits 3 times with a locker (failed once ). I just tell them that the diff has been tightened up and with the touchiness of the clutch makes it feel like a locker. It has only failed at East Perth

  15. Yup...Ant is right. You have to have a high mounted stop light. If not built into the spoiler, then on the rear window. I dont have a brake light in my spoiler, so had to have one at the rear window
  16. 1 hp is 0.74569 kw so according to the calc...I could do a 10.6 with 500rwhp!!!! Now just have to find 500rwhp from somewhere
  17. haha yeah it gets like that...when I got the 33 I went a lot harder than my S15 (totally stock) but then it felt slow...so the search for power started along with some $$$ (not in Shmiddy's category yet though but working on it ). Then I am sure it will end up feeling slow again, so will need the rebuild and more $$$ to keep me happy Might have to go wider than the 265's on it to get anywhere...or potter around at 3k rpm so boost doesnt hit

Thats good to know I will only be able to drive it for a week (hopefully the motor, clutch etc can hold out that long hehe), then back to London for another 5 months Hopefully all you guys are going to the cruise on 23rd April...coz that coincides with me being home. Set to pick the car up on the 21st. Can't wait to see how hard it pulls on boost P.S. Shmiddy...your engine bay looks awesome Love those high mounts...I will probably spend more time with my bonnet up staring at the GT35 than driving the thing hehe
  19. Yeah I am hoping the stock internals will last a little while. Ken is going for a safe tune with it to make it last...will be looking at rebuilding with stronger internals at some point...but hopefully later than sooner I have the .82 ex housing on the GT3540R so cant wait to see how it goes in just over a week
  20. Hey Shmiddy, How is the power delivery on the GT35R? I have one going in on mine at the moment with a set of poncams. What rpm are you seeing boost coming on? Cheers JB

  22. Yeah I have read that red and blue neons were illegal as those colours are reserved for emergency vehicles (think there was a thread previously about it). JB

  24. Yeah...I have no use for it anymore Try it and see if it fixes the stutters...if it does cool...if not you might have other problems You will have to ask Ken for it. Hyperdrive is doing all of the work for me while I am in London, but if you are going on the April cruise I will see you there Cheers JB
  25. Hey Mitchy, Do you still need the AFM? mine is a 94 s1 at Hyperdrive at the moment getting replaced with a Z32 and other stuff. I am pretty sure you would be able to speak to Ken and get it from him... Cheers JB
