  1. its under Diagrams, and its the file OEM DIN GAUGES. I have attached it to the post...if it works Cheers JB. din_gauges.pdf
  2. check out Paulr33's web site: http://members.dodo.com.au/paul/ Has a DIY manual for creating a triple gauge pod for centre console. You could modify it a bit to hold 1 gauge and the TT also. There are also some good manuals and things on there. JB
  3. Am pretty sure I read somewhere that the proto had a NA V8 in it. I hope that they do bring it out with the V6 twin turb. Although it will probably be 10 years after its release that I'll be able to afford one
  4. It's a great looking car...front end I'm not too sure about but I am sure it will grow on me. Unfortunately I dont think it will be in the same price range of a 350Z. Judging from the article on carsguide I would say it will definitely be in the 6 figure range, especially when the R32 was 6 figures when it was released here. Definitely better start saving

    Bovs?

I have a Greddy atmo BOV and got a permit for it no problem. The cops are supposed to ask if you have permits for the mods they are pointing out. If you have permits they are supposed to accept them and let you be. If they are having a shit day like Strich9 says, they give you a yellow, and you have to pay to take it over the pits to show them that you have permits for it in the first place. The whole system stinks!!!!
  6. Hey Steve, State rego change will require a full inspection the same as if it was getting rego'd for the first time, as all the state laws are different. I am pretty sure that as long as everything is secured and installed professionally there shouldn't be any problems. Some of the stuff you have listed I am not sure about, but there are guys out there running some heavily modded cars...maybe not all with permits though Do you have A pillar guages? If you do, they may complain about them. The east Perth pits didn't like mine and witheld my permit for them until it was looked at by the Technical team at Welshpool. They didn't like them either as it stuck out in front of the nardi steering wheel and blocked some corner view, but the permit said 'gauges' and so even if I changed them, they had to allow it as it was already okayed by the permit...but I think generally they aren't too happy with dual A-pillar guage pods. Also...make sure that you have plenty of clearance/travel with your suspension...they almost failed mine because it was too stiff and so didn't give enough travel on bumps. Got through though...luckily Good luck with it all...hope it gets cleared
  7. Hey Steve... From my experience they go over the car and list everything that you need a permit for, and as long as everything passes you then get the permits. Maybe depends on the mods on your heavily modded car. Anything that are are not sure the legality of, might be an idea to ring ahead to make sure one of your mods wont fail the inspection. Do you mean rego swap from another states plates? If thats the case, I am sure it will need a full inspection. Hope that helps a bit JB
  8. Hi Whitesky, I have bride seats on mine, and they said I needed a permit for them (permit says non standard seats). They didn't say anything about it, just checked the padding level, and strength of the recliner by shaking the headrest...and wrote it down on the permit. Cheers JB
  9. Nengun sells them for just over $183 delivered if you are thinking of the new Duralumin cam gears http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/102
  10. If you have the power fc, why not use the boost kit for it? it works out cheaper. I was going to go for the AVC-R, but after advice from guys in the know on this forum, changed my mind to the boost kit for the pfc
  11. You should be able to take the car away and fix the ones that fail (as long as the car is roadworthy), but you wont get permits for what passes. When you get the car passed, you will get permits for everything that they see necessary. When I got a yellow for being too low, and not having standard seats it failed for not having enough seat padding, and for having a locked diff. They didn't give me any permits and sent me away to fix it. When the car passed, they gave me the permits.
  12. I am pretty sure you will have to pay, and pay for the permit for the pod too. It will be worth while getting permits for anything else that you might need then for at the same time. That way you pay for one permit and reduce the chance of another yellow for something that you dont have a permit for.
  13. cool...where abouts are Wilkinson's? Have you got them back on? are they nice and solid again? Its really only my rears that are stuffed like Mike_R32_GTR's...rear bounces down the road like an old yank tank
  14. Hey Chris...nice results mate What was the cost of your rebuild? if you dont mind me asking Cheers
  15. Looking at getting my JIC coilovers rebuilt by Xspeed...they said about $760 per end (about $1500 for all 4) so I guess they could do your Nismo's too. If you find anywhere else that is cheaper let me know
  16. I agree with Ed...definitely go for the blueline. It is an excellent alarm.
  17. i think nengun have stopped selling it. I had one in my shopping cart and it disappeared. Searched through the product list and it is no longer listed. www.xspeed.com.au still sell them but they are $250, otherwise www.takakaira.com sell them in the accessories section
  18. haha I am not sure what I am going to do with mine yet. Might get them retrimmed. If not...would sell them and get something new
  19. fark!!!!! petrol price has jumped up huge since I left. Geez...hope it drops back to about where it was when I left. Thats about a 30c increase in less than a year.
  20. I know that you can get replacement bolsters from Bride...although I am sure it would be cheaper to go to a trimmer and ge them to do it. As they are now the bolstering is still good, but the trim needs doing. They are now different colour as the drivers side is very faded to almost a purple Might look at a full retrim to black velour and embroided Bride on the headrest if its possible. very expensive to replace to I guess I should make the most of the ones I have now
  21. Thanks anyway steve...might mean I will have to replace them. Had a patch done when I first bought the car and was very disappointed in the result. The material didn't match properly and neither did the colour...might be able to sell them I guess, or I could get it retrimmed in a standard black material and get Bride embroided on the top. Had a look at those East Bear seats on the link you posted. They look pretty good.
  22. Hey Steve, do you know of any good trimmers in Perth? Mine need retrimming as they are faded, and the bolstering is starting to get a little soft. Do you know if they can retrim it like the original with bride written down the seat? Ta JB
  23. are you sure? if you are let me know where coz I will replace my Brix I's for Brix II's Everywhere I have seen it's per seat. You will find the same for Sparco and the other top brands...per seat. For 2 front seats and a pair of seat rails you would be looking at close to $3K www.modyourcar.com.au also have Bride Brix II for over $1K. They mention when they are sold as a pair as per OBX...doesn't mention pair for Bride.
  24. lol... well they are very good seats (the bride brix that is). If you have the money to spend...get them Nengun have the Bride Brix II Entry for just over $1100 delivered and the Bride Brix II for just over $1200 delivered. That is per seat...the rails are extra. About $300 delivered per rail
  25. they are expensive, but they are damn nice seats. Hug really well. If you were still looking at getting bride seats knowing the price (luckily mine came with 2 brix) I would go for the Brix II A cheap option is OBX. They come in pairs and are half the price of a single Bride. The OBX Monaco Sports is very hugging.
