  1. I was also looking at a GT30R with a .82 A/R...may still go for this instead of the 35R. cant wait to start working on it all but will have to wait another year. Then I will give it some attention.
  2. Hey SK, thanks for the pic...looks like it should shorten the pipe a fair bit and looks good to. Was that custom piping made by anyone in particular? Thanks, JB
  3. speaking of which...I might have to go to someone to fix my front bar. It is sagging a bit and a gap has appeared between the bottom of the headlights and the front bar can almost fit a finger between them now...sux!!!!
  4. Geez...thats no good. Thats what I dont want to happen. Spend a lot of money on some bodywork to improve the look of your car, and it ends up worse hope it all works out in the end for ya maccaz
  5. Thanks Yeah in Perth well the car is...at the moment I am in London. Waiting to get back to do it up some more. Cant wait to finish the plans I have for it, and then let it loose on the cruises
  6. no...as a rough guess that sounds like a very decent price. Maybe I will email fibrevision about it too thanks Mitchy
  7. That was a reasonable price for the front bar did u mean under $1000 for the custom rear bumper without painting and fitting?
  8. Thats what I asked them about. Whether they can modify the veilside bumper so that it sits under the lights like the stock bumper does. No reply from them yet...thought it was because it had enquiry from jetspeed website in the subject, but it was from fibrevision about the price of the vs bumper It was about $850 painted and fitted. Wonder what the price of a custom version would be Might be cheaper to go for another rear bumper and forget about the diffuser fins
  9. Thanks mitchy, It does look like it sticks out a bit. I just got an email from Jetspeed...will read what they have to say and post it on here
  10. Thats the only bit that concerns me. I haven't seen it in the flesh, but from the pictures the bumper does seem to sit out a lot from the line of the lights. Do you know the approx measurement of how far it juts out? It may make the car look a little odd, as the 400R front does not stick out that much. Do know of any other rear bumber that has the diffuser style fins that doesn't stick out so much? Wonder how much it would be to get a custome bumper made up that is like the veilside rear without the jutting out bumper...might have to email Jetspeed and see if they do that sort of thing.
  11. I was looking at just getting the VS rear bumber. I think that looks hot. The replica GTR version that is available for the GTS-T. I know that carmate do them as well as Jetspeed. Not sure about the fitting though...last thing you would want is a poorly fitting kit. Going to match it with JUN sideskirts and the 400R front that I have on now. Hope it all looks good together
  12. Thanks disco... I dont want something that will hit with a bang too early and light it up all over the place. More of a strong surge that keeps you pushed back in the seats with a huge grin. Maybe I will have to go down to the GT30R. Dont want to be waiting all day for the thing to come on boost. I have read on some threads that cams can bring boost on earlier. I have HKS 256 on INT and 264 EXH ready to put in at the same time. Would this help to boost the 35R a bit sooner?
  13. maybe they are in WA only Permits are like approval for modifications to your car that make the mods 'legal' and the police cannot defect you for a mod if you have a permit for it. For example, I have permits for the exhaust, pod filter, atmo bov, strut brace, non standard seats, pillar gauges. If you get pulled over by the cops and they try and defect you for something you can show them the permits and they cant defect you for anything that you have a permit for. B)
  14. You could get a bov with an adjustable valve spring like the blitz dual drive. I had 1 on my completely stock S15 before I switched to the R33. Had a heap of problems with it stalling as soon as you depressed the clutch pedal coming to lights etc. If you tighten the spring with the allen key provided, you could adjust the tension and it then fixed the problem of stalling.
  15. Hey Sproosy, I had a pod filter and atmo bov that I got permits for when I got defected for being too low. Has the law recently changed? or is it only in WA that you can still get permits ofr these?
  16. Thanks disco, that catalogue is great. One question, I was looking at now getting the GT35R instead of the GT30R, but the catalogue for the GT35R lists displacement of 3L-4L. Does that mean the GT35R will be too big for my RB25DET?
  17. I have a Greddy Type S atmo on mine, and got a permit for it the last time I had to take the car over the pits. There was no problem with it at all. I had a Blitz dual drive with the filter on it on my S15 I had previously and never had a problem with that one either.
  18. I have the apexi N1 and I think it sounds great Is quite loud though at up to 102Db at 4000rpm.
  19. Ed, after a bit of searching with different search criteria, I came across the thread you were mentioning. Sydney kid mentions the standard plenum can cope with up to 450hp without restriction...not sure if this is crank or atw. So I can definitely forget the aftermarket plenum and stick with standard. spend the money on other things for the car instead. What about the piping? Will the piping to the standard throttle body position get in the way of a high mount GT35R?
  20. Hi Everyone, Does anyone have any info/suggestions with regards to the standard intake plenum I have on my R33 GTS-T with the piping running over the motor to the throttle body. Which of the following options would be best? 1) Aftermarket plenum (e.g. Greddy). I know that I can get one delivered for just over $1000 2) GTR plenum...is this possible? if so what other parts would need changing to make it fit? What would the cost be? 3) Have the throttle body location moved on the standard plenum? Is this possible? What would the cost be? ...or is the standard plenum fine as is running the piping over the engine from the front mount and spend the money on something else? I am looking at getting power up to 300rwkw, and thought that the heat caused by running the piping over the motor would not be as good as having the piping running straight up to the throttle body like the GTR. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  21. rpm...in 3rd at about 8000
  22. i have: 3rd 170 4th & 5th...no idea coz have the standard 180km/h speedo
  23. there should be no problem with fitment. It is specific for the R33 (can get R32 ones also, + for a heap of other makes/models) and designed to fit on the dash. If you cant find one locally, you can call the Xspeed guys. I am sure they will help with any clarification on fitment that you need.
  24. Luvage...here is a direct link to it from Xspeed http://www.xspeed.com.au/shop/product_info...products_id=383
