    Fuel

a tank of petrol now lasts me maybe 1 to 2 months hahaha instead of the few days it used to last me. Although I now only drive it a handful of times a month!!!
  2. price reduced to $25,000
  3. Hey mate...full boost (15psi) at 4500 with a .82 exh housing
  4. what has running rich on cruise got to do with anything. I never said mine ran rich on cruise. It runs rich on boost (which might be richer than yours on boost) which was a deliberate exercise from the tuner because at 300+ rwkw it is in the upper limits of the stock bottom end. Because I dont drive it much, and unless it's on a cruise it's only in the city so it stop at lights...on boost...stop at lights...on boost. That is where I am more concerned about an almost non existant knock count which is what I have.
  5. unfortunately yeah...even had to get a jump starter kit for it I would like to drive it around more but it can't make it into work carpark, or client car park so it's a weekend cruiser only.
  6. thats true...but I only drive mine once a week/fortnight at the moment, so I try to get as much fun out of it while I can Really, I dont mind the not so good fuel economy. It's the price I pay to keep the stock engine running sweet. With a complete rebuild I would then be able to run it leaner, increase boost etc. I am happy with my tune...uses fuel (runs perfectly clean...no smoke) but knock is kept down to the teens which is what I am most concerned about.
  7. yeah...306rwkw on a standard bottom end. Tuned rich to ensure longevity
  8. The tune does have a lot to do with it...but so does your right foot. Even if you go for the slide high flow you will find yourself pushing into the power curve more often to enjoy the extra power and use more fuel. It is inevitable
  9. I am lucky to get much over 200kms per tank city driving for a series 1, you might get 250 - 300kms per tank...ultimately depends on how you drive it
  10. Sounds good...and Elena will be in Sydney so I have a free night
  11. if you are only looking at 10" subs then there wont be a problem. Depending on how you mount it, you can go a lot bigger and fit multiple in. Depends if you want to go a box, or a custom install...either way you wont have much boot space left. If you relocate the battery etc from behind the rear seat you can put a box in there to keep some boot space. That all seemed to hard for me, but the result is that I could fit a set of golf clubs in the boot it I wanted to and not much else. Also to help with sound travel into the cabin, remove the metal plate behind the rear seat
  12. Big congratulations to Paul and Lauren Thats great news.
  13. haha 300+ still gets boring...but then you have to start looking at powering a couple of extra wheels to enjoy it more...i.e. GTR
  14. To get this back on topic...I have a 3540 with a .82 rear housing on a standard bottom end running 15psi for 411rwhp. Has been running this setup now for over a year without a hiccup. All supporting mods including cams, just no rebuild. Full boost by about 4500 which still allows for a lot of fun. I did this thinking the same thing. If it popped then I would rebuild it, but so far...no need. As GeeTR said...a good tune is the most important thing along with a motor that is still in good condition when this is all done...oh, and of course being sensible with the boost. Try and put 24psi through it and you will destroy it pretty quick. Cheers, JB
  15. Still available. Some pics... more to come
  16. Happy Birthday Niz
  17. they did all the work on mine (ossie park store)
  18. westside car audio do top work
  19. nah...mine has run 100% for over a year with over 300rwkw on a stock bottom end. Like Mafia said, I think it is more down to the tune than a specific power point where the rb25 lets go. Mine is tuned very conservatively with AFR's and ignition timing to protect the stock parts and still got a result of over 300rwkw with a lot more available if I want to lean on the internals a bit more...and only on 15psi. As others have mentioned to me on cruises, it runs totally clean, no smoke on any throttle application at all, and knock is almost non existant with it not going over teens even when pushed hard beyond redline...all down to the tune (thanks Lumpy ) my 2 cents
  20. I have the vee port on mine and it has no issues at all...popping or stalling. Check to see if your current atmo bov has a spring tension adjuster on it...and wind it in. I had a blitz on my S15 that would do the exact same thing...stall when pulling up to lights, or pushing in the clutch when driving along. Wound the tensioner in and it solved all the problems. The only problem from the atmo bov was overfueling.
  21. Here is some pics of mine, and like Abcent's its for sale...click link in sig.
  22. Hey Ryan...you have my plates I wanted HYPER33 (hence my handle) when I got my plates, but I wanted the small plates and were limited to 5 characters Mitchy, glad your scans came out ok
  23. Geez that sux Mitchy...glad you are ok. Looks like a real hard hit. I got hit in the rear (same spot in the rear) in my clubsport and the damage wasn't anywhere near that!!! Next car???? hey...you can buy mine hehehe
