  1. "E10 contains 10% ethanol and E85 contains85% ethanol. Australian Government legislation defines an ethanol blended fuel ascontaining more than 1% ethanol, but limits the amount of ethanol in petrol to 10%. ... Under section 12A of the Fuel Quality Standards Act 2000, it is an offence to not comply with the standards." "There is a difference between states on whether premium gas specifically has ethanolin it or not. Or, more correctly, whether it's required to have it in it. ... This is because theyhave to use the ethanol to raise the octane level of their gasoline blend in order to satisfy the higher octane requirements of premium.Oct 12, 2012"
  2. Eat me dose! Maybe your sensor cant sense low amounts.
  3. Mobil will contain ethnol. All premium grade fuels have it. How much is in it can vary that is all.
  4. United.. probably a high ethanol blend 95 or 98. I smell the ethanol in there 91. Most 95 and 98 contain no more than 10% . Becarefull if its special blend 98 it could have more. The pumps need to state when they contain %10 or less. If they dont who knows how much it was blended to meet the specific octane.
  5. I know this is old but was there an answer for the difference? I believe the De uses softer valve springs, would that have much to do with it? Is the cam(s) lift different det 2 de? Is one an inlet and the other an exausht?
  6. How stock is the car? my ss crewman gets 12/100 pushed it to 16/100 towing, my 32s 20det is better, and a led foot will equal them. If you were light footed thats bad economy for stock, Has it ever been modified or tuned maybe for e85 cause that sound like e85 ks to me? (Not saying put it in and see)
  7. Dash is sold Tail shaft is there its an auto N/A.
  8. Drifter17, if its not burning oil like it was, why? What else could it be burning? If your compression is still the same after driving it around losing oil then not and add blowin allsorts of smoke i would think thats amazing, but after so long seeing wich cylinder(s) are the culprit shouldnt be hard to tell, re test compression, pressure test coolant system and leak test inlet manifold. My guess is that if your motor seems fine , maybe its a small leak water jacket/intake of the inlet manifold gasket . Just a guess. Goodluck!
  9. Quoting you drifter17... "one question though, i seem to be going from high to low on dip stick every 200 miles or even less so burning around 200 ml " Not the same thing being said. Wich is it? Compression figures?
  10. As i said, if its unopened there are a few possibilities. However and what ever caused it will only be found by checks and or pulling the motor down, a rebuild may cost more than a second hand motor , depending how and who does it. To test the rings drop a cap of oil in and see if it goes up in compression, if not you could be lucky to not pull the bottom end to bits and just have a valve seal or sealing valve issue. Goodluck.
  11. Not to sure on the standard C/R for a 26, 150 is what i belive acceptable or good, the difference could be a few things, if it was rebuilt, possibly ring gap errors wich can be bad if undersized and just as bad if over size, if un opened possibly ringland , valve seals or bent/burnt valve. Also worth noting that 93 octane isnt good for making power, most people in aus now use 98 octane to avoid predetination and pinging, 95 octane is ok for moderate power.
  12. The r33 test car is pretty kool id love 1. Steve85, thanks for not playin with your dik while you replied, unlike the others that replied so far.
  13. A survey by 1320 videos asked this... Wich skyline in the '1320' video do you like most The r32 or the r34? Just thought id share the vid and see what people here like more.

    Why?

I understand your point steve. This probably relates more so to the previous thread i was coming over from. When the time is right and the funding supply is there why not buy everything you want hey. @gtsboy you are the troll and your band of keyboard warrior stalkers just love me. So i guess i was wrong this aint even a skyline forum anymore, its a sell out. Guess ya can tell people euro is better here. Another forum or similar will begin specialising in skylines, especialy now that they are rare and considered lesser to euros here. I know this makes me wanna split. Where are the skidline lovers at?

    Why?

Was a bad move, needed a side forrum linked. Well i have been using this site for about 12-13 years for skidline info. Sau is still indicitive of skylines. I couldnt careless about being on here after hearing that skylines are actualy dissmissed from the name.

    Why?

I would think Skylines Australia United. Why when it seems to be euros united more so. I undersrand people come here with allsorts but isnt this a skyline fan site. How come im the only one stickin up for skidlines over euro? Does the site maybe need a new name or is this some kind of a joke using skylines in the name to entice but then talk up euros instead.
