want to buy a turbo kit for my N/A R34
Slap replied to Jase_r34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I dont see anyone asking wich euro is the best. I think a few long term members lost there passion for actual skylines and forgot they were where op is or similar and not just lifestyle but mentaly aswell. He has been given advice against skylines on a skyline site, and thus world love for skylines will die with crap like your posting , wether its right or wrong. Maybe if ya wanna lip about euro being greater than skidlines cause ya can waste 4x the money now than you used to be able too, then go to a euro site and do it. Skyline life 4 eva! -

The point of the thread was to be cheap. I believe: The most obvious cheapest choices would be, stay N/A $0 , bolt a turbo system and ecu and minimal work to boost $1000-2000 till it dies then put in gtt motor$1600 , gtt or ls motor ecu and loom swap $3-3.5k , gtt car upgrade12-20k And for godsake no golf. Ya wont be the fastest on the road and any more than 300kw is truely unnecessary as a road vehicle whos build purpose is limited to acceleration and bordered by speedlimits on handeling. Wich can be ignored at user discretion for Risk. 52k put in my skidline would be a far better. To the point people would walk right past the golf staring at the r32 pimped outa its brain. -

Because it makes more sense than braging about golfs on SAU. -
@ dirty_dyer. " I got a voltage reading of .02 volts between the cylinder head and my strut tower bolt." Wouldnt that signify a low voltage short.

I believe the rb20 to be the most reliable dohc and 2wd less to go wrong. I think jase may want a turbo v8 but realisticly the cheapest option is a transplant and to be stealth the same original block numbers on a low mount manifold with a heat sheild. Changing motors in excess of a certain power level needs compliance and a v8 would also be very distinguishable. R32s are rare in general now. Everyone drifted them to death. Gtr the best obviously... Y i gots a visual mock up with an impul grill. But the grill went rusty and im gonna fit an s14 s2 grill cause it looks like it will be similar. Thanks jase. I wanted a darker christmas ball green but my mate made this paint at the hi-chem factory in hallam.. its called maxs green and has 9 different shades of green with green metalics and more gold metalic flakes. Just buy a cheap ss and save for a gtt. If ya crash theres the donor ahaha. -

Obviously a new cas will need adjusting. Look up how cause typing up how to is too much right typing right now. -

If you are going for an aftermarket ecu then yes. If not you cant get it tuned . Just serviced, fixed or modded. But definitely dont play with it. Make sure it gets timed correct. -

I think being seen in a golf is sad when you could be seen in a skidline. Most turbo skidline owners know to do rolling starts only and just put off at lights. Ive blown a golf or 2 off the road. Actualy the only car that gave my hack tuned skidline a run was a 2015 xr8 supercharged 370kw. I only had max 200kw. His traction control was holding him back as he pulled away low rpm and id wind em in at high rpm. 17psi highflow rb20det safc hacked and the usuals. Good thing if ya keep it n/a it will last a lifetime. Watever ya do dont buy cheap bits. -

Shows you dont get it. We dont have regular checks. We have 1 compliance check at registration that is usualy tight. Then only again if ordered too. Why we can keep em on the road and mod like you but not before an inspection that will cost 150 bucks + what ever the hell they want you to fix and this includes but is not limited to the stupidist shid, usualy 700-1500 for a RWC unless your in the industry. -

@kinkstaah Well said and very true. People have to start somewhere and an rb n/a build to +T for a low budget upgrade not caring about the motor then killing it and using your goodies on the gtt motor ya get it. The bonus of this upgrade is gt-gtt is you can do it slow and still drive eventualy having a pimped car you did yourself. Eventualy yes you relise to stop wasting money, but you have a car that is purley yours and everything done you know. There is what i call the mod bug. And when you go turbo you go turbo learning and a lust of G's begins the craving inside 4 MORE POWER! A never ending feeling only quenched first drive after each power gain for a very short period (2secs) then its back and angrier... ahahaha . @gtsboy Your SA pricey is Vic skimp. In vic we got hoops m8. SA legally let you skimp. -

That sounds so much better for this site. Id keep gt. Id build up a gtt from a front cut or smashed r34gtt and a blown up one. Then sell the spares. -

Would be nice to have a chance. What im getting at is its not Bau. Anyone who is lookin @ gt +t is lookin to do it skimp, avoid rwc compliances and engenering needs usualy because there car is still a registered skyline and they like there car. Why they came to Sau. -

You read good advice as bad. 'Sacrifice the essentials.' means what is essential to get where you want. Not the essentials you need to live... thats foolish. @ steve85. True cept i believe OP isnt there. But i dont get how it justifies saying on a skyline forrum that a golf a rolla or a ford is un upgrade to a skyline. Its SAU not CAU. And yes cars are good. -

Arhg! So many inactualaties. 34 gt 10-15k bahahaha no way. Try 3-7k. What if hes already registered? So what if they wanna learn the long way and spend the bux like many have. 12-20k for an immaclulate pimp gtt is most ive seen em at. Unless very special. Turbo 32s are more preferred now days than 34 why they fetch similar figures. Ect... ect.... barras [emoji86] not a true skyline fan hey. Seems to be alot on SAU talkin up there rollas and golf gtis omg Sau isnt FB. So many people tinker on there skidlines. Maybe its not worth the bang for buck anymore unless you love your car, it is beside the point , if someone wants to do what you dont let em. Advice can be taken or left. Good advice doesnt come in the form of a back hand , thats bad advice because ya put em off the good shid and make bad advice seem good. Do the conversion OP if that what you want -

To clarify, my car is factory turbo with a manual conversion. Heaps of people turbo n/a rb and more like building rb25/30. Why be so negative when people show intrest in a similar thing. Sau isn't ment for people to get on here and try make others feel shid. And as my post basicaly stated and some just cant fathom... the poster has there own decision to make and my experience buying an R32 is the best influence i can give What im wondering is how many assh[emoji95]les will read this , get offended , not take any of it aboard and be a heroe to them selves by replying some more spirit breaking BS.
