Taboo topic, I suppose i want to know what people know about everything from using them to, getting caught or simply finding your pops one in the Garage and seeing if the old one works. Do new ones work?. The Law, and can u use them or not and what states can or can't?. I know little about them but i know they're out there so do tell.

Gearbox Factory at Greenacre, been there and they helped me out of a tight situation. Admittedly not my GTR. But their service and advice was good considering it looked like the place was going to chop my car in half and sell it in there back yard. LOL No it looked like a place that worked for their money not like half the places around North side. When u find out how much they charge post it plez. Found there card, 80-82 Rosedale Ave Greenacre 2190 Phone: 9790 2984 Can't hurt to call.

Been there done that. You're right about the law being made Automatic for the judges etc, that is where i got caught. Yes i did something wrong, however the penality considering the situation was LONG *sigh* But the minimum except for section 10. Not much middle ground or control for the judge considering. I Reckon if u get nabed something if small or large it can snowball into something bigger. Either way seems like it's a gamble anyway. As for lawers, well the result can only get so good sometimes.

This slipping that's accuring is not accuring under any harsh acceleration. It happens after being at the same revs for a while, usually while crusing on the freeway. Then when half throttle is applyed thats when it happens. There is no loss in traction because there isn't enough power. Thats the reason i don't think it is the clutch. It usually doesn't happen a second time for a bit, till i cruise again and after 3 mins or so. dude, i been around longer than u, savman is mine nah, my last name is savage, hence savman.

Have R32 GTR. When I'm cruising with no boost, usually on freeways, I'm finding that when I accelerate to pass a truck or car etc. the car seems to slip, like the clutch slipping. The revs go up, then it grips and the revs go down. So here's my delemma, why when I thrash the living hell out of it on 1.1 bar is there is no slipping???????? I have a triple plate clutch. Could heat in clutch be making it grip; or heat in Attessa system making traction work though the front wheels? I have not changed the attessa automatic fluid for longer than I remember (IN fact never since i got it from Jap, bad hey, didn't know it was there till now. Done all other things). Can revs be lost in attessa system, sending torque to front wheels??? Any ideas anyone.....

To do with hicas. My car can feel nice and tight going in and out of corners, even sometimes 4 wheel drifting. I find though when i might go a little hectic, the car comes out feeling sloppy for 10 second before regaining rigidness. I can make the car feel like this (sloppy), when going 80 or over throwing the car left and right, like race cars warming tires. The car becomes sloppy and feels almost dangerous when breaking. Anybody's ideas appreciated. Is my hicas G sensors out? Is this a floor in R32's? Upgrade but keeping Hicas? Is your sister avaliable? lol

Anybody had this before... I thought it was the fuel pump at first, so i replaced it with a new one. The car going for about 30sec to a 1 min then would decide to cut fuel supply. I could not start again for about 30 seconds. Usually it wouldn't have a problem again, untill the next cold start. When i did replace the fuel pump and saw that the situation wasn't solved. I got the multimeter out and checked the volts. It ran 9.8V on start then down to 6V.. after a min or two, cut off and engine stalled. ........... maybe a hidden alarm from previous owner? :whatsthat

I got a R32 GTR running 1.1 bar. Has a fair bit of work done. Came across a sleeper Holden VS 5.7L, with substantian work done to exhaust, cams etc. I had Three people in my car total, he Only one. Have to give him some respect, he had some balls. In Syd when coming off the syd harbour bridge going to carl expressway, as he did that left hand bend off the bridge onto carl express, he kicked out the rear throughout the corner. I did the same but with 4 wheel drift, which caught him in no time. But then he pulled hard on the straight, while i got out of 2nd and into third (loosing boost). Obviously i beat him in the end, but he had some power 0-100,,,,,,,,, Then my boost kicked in....... cya!!!!!!!!! 3 gear EAT GTR BABY,,,,MWAH,,,,!!!!

What is the best engine running temperature?
Savman replied to 180bfj20det's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
U don't want to go below 70 degrees for water 80 for oil. As long as your above that your car is warm enough. As for the best performance temp, don't know. -
Oil pump is a good upgrade for peace of mind. Also the fact it could save your engine. If your running higher boost and or have oil cooler u need larger oil pump. don't know about the water pump. Probably a good idea if your racing to get Gauges for Water Temp and Oil pressure. Then u know what is needed.

We should stop sitting on our arses and start protesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, anything from writing, faxing,,, (what i would like to do) block the city with imports. some details of who to write too,,,,,,, U want the car???????? work for it.... Or u can be buying mine off me for $35,000 after if have finished with it!!!!!!!!!! sloppy seconds Well, so far the people we have provided contact details for (Jim Lloyd et al) have not been very responsive. They want to push through the changes without listening to all those who will be affected. Jim Lloyd's Office staff claim he is "out" whenever you phone, and they are deleting all e-mail complaints relating to this issue WITHOUT EVEN READING THEM, see below: Subject: Not read: 15 yr Rule Your message To: [email protected] Subject: was deleted without being read on 17/02/2005 7:28 AM. Not altogether surprising since it is clear that Jim does not care what the great majority of Australians think, instead he is more concerned about protecting the profits of the large car manufacturers who lobby the Govt. intensely for no apparent reason other than to maintain their unfair monopoly of the marketplace. 2004 saw a record number of new car sales of nearly 1 MILLION CARS. According to DOTARS, "grey" imports at their peak under the old import scheme reached about 17,000 cars per year. The introduction of SEVS dropped import numbers to virtually zero for many months, and the number now coming in even given the 15 year rule is certainly substantially less than the peak a few years ago. So import numbers would be less than about 0.5% compared to new car sales. Note that in 2004 Holden sold 79,170 Commodores alone. Ford Falcon, 65,384. Nissan Pulsar, 19,531. Even Toyota sold 17,879 of their Echos in 2004 ! Remember of course that those enthusiasts importing secondhand vehicles under the 15 year rule are never in the market for a new car anyway ! And what's more, imports are nearly always more efficient and have higher safety and emissions standards than the local options IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE and / or of the same year. We have been advised that the following people will be much more receptive to your thoughts on this matter than our poor friend Jim who doesn't want to listen to the people that voted him in. If sufficient public response gets to the right Politicians, the issue may be raised to their awareness and this will at least give Jim some difficult questions to answer in Parliament if not postpone the changes. At this point, most of the people that matter still seem unaware of the issue. We are seeking to change that, with your help, and to make this issue a political hot potato. But there is not much time left so if you feel strongly about this issue then please make your thoughts known to the following, in particular to Kim Beazley. Don't forget to point out how many small businesses will be affected by these changes and how many people will be put out of work.
