If ya got 235 tyres are you sure you got 17.5 width wheels? R U sure you don't have 7.5s? I am running 265s on the back and 235s on the front. I reckon its a good combo for someone who doesn't like to drift round EVERY corner. Could traction = quick starts. If ya want good drift action you can't go past stockies!!

How much boost can I run on my R33?
CanberraR33 replied to CanberraR33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Mr Squiggle: Do you have a front mount or do you run that boost on the stock core? So just to clarify, I should do the exhaust, the pod and get an EBC and scrap the FMIC? Maybe spend the money on a new ECU? -
I have a stock R33. I plan to do the following in the next 12 months: 1. Pod filter or higher flow panel filter. 2. 3" mandrel bent exhaust in mild steel incld. dump pipe 3. FMIC When is it safe to wind the boost up, and to what sort of PSI? Also, is factory boost 5 psi? I am thinking of getting a 2 stage bleed valve with a switch in the cabin (high & low). What is the benefit of an electronic boost controler apart from ease of use and a flashy box? Thanks, James.

I love my Falken Ziex tyres. Dunno what they cost on there own as I got 'em with a tyre & wheel package from Tempe Tyres Sydney. GoodYear Eagle F1s are pretty awesome but if you have wide wheels you can't get 'em. The F1s are great in the dry but they are awesome in the wet!

Vision FAI-8000F Pager Alarm & HKS Type 1 TT
CanberraR33 replied to CanberraR33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The place where I got my alarm say they can connect it up so that I can arm my alarm while the TT counts down. However, it says nothing in the manual about support for a TT. Does this mean they are going to bypass something? In which case will that mean someone could hot wire my car throught the TT? -
Help! I just got my turbo timer installed today and have an issue. Current situation: Turn Car off, turbo timer counts down, Get out, close door, press arm button on alarm remote (doors lock but car doesn't arm), timer finishes -> engine turns off and doors unlock. Alarm can now be armed. What I want: To be able to arm alarm while turbo timer is counting down and when engine cuts out it will stay locked and armed! First of all is this possible? And 2nd what do I need to change in the set up? Thanks in advance!

I just had mine fixed. $20 for the part and $65 for an hours labour (didn't have to pay it though 'cause the dealer agreed to get it fixed when I bought the car). It's just a little cog inside a little black box. I had to get the new box 'cause no where had the cog. $20 bucks for the box or $5 for the cog if ya can find it. Just go to an airconditioning place!

I bought this key from Taka Kaira in Japan and they sent me the wrong one. They are being pricks about it and won't exchange it! According to the back of the box it suits the following models: R34, S15, N50, FY33, Y33, JY33, A33, C35, P11, WP11, U14, G10, B15, T30, Z10, Y61, D22, R50, JR50, U30, JU30, V10, M12, E50, W11, Y11, C24 The key cost me $115 FOR SALE $100 PM me if you are interested.

UAS didn't want my key. They don't stock R34 keys 'cause there arn't enough in Aus to justify it! He said he could sell it on consignment but I've decided just to put it on the forum. UAS said my experience was typical of dealing direct with Japan. My advice: STAY CLEAR OF TAKA KAIRA!!!!

I remember seeing a while ago a news article claiming Richardson to be the bad ass gheto of the ACT. The cops bilitzed it for ages! Lock your doors driving through or you'll get jacked for your ride and your The land of goat sphincter rings chain! Those Southsieed boys are real G'd up gangstas! They claim the front of the Hyperdome as there turf!

I talked to the guy at the Summernats SAU get together. He mainly lives in Canberra but also lives in WA. He works in Canberra. Bullet holes are definitly from chillin in da Canberra gheto, in particular Franklin St. Manuka and Lonsdale St. Braddon. Pretty tough hoods!

Ok I just got back from Class Locksmiths. They confirmed I have the wrong blank. The blank I have is for an R34 not an R33. Taka Kaira the place in Japan I got it from arn't being too helpful. I have sent them an email telling them the product code from the box. I also noticed on the back it lists (in Japanese but model numbers in English), R34 but no R33. I reckon they have sent me the wrong blank by mistake. They so better replace it! NOT HAPPY JAN!

What is the deal with Airpods being illegal? Also, I've been told in the ACT that a BOV is legal if it's plumback. So does that mean that if I got pulled up they could defect me 'cause I am driving in NSW or do they have to leave me alone due to ACT plates?? I wish there was just one national rule and you could go and get a book and actually know what the deal was!

So true Ronin 09. There are a lot of punks out there with guns and that so if someone tail gates me I just do my best to ignore 'em and keep a good gap in front of me. However, people who sit in the right lane deserve what they get. It happens a lot in Canberra 'cause I think about 90% of Canberrans got their licenses out of corn flakes packs! I love going up to Sydney because it is a rariety that ppl sit in the right lane and don't yield! I think it should be mandatory for people to sit a road rules test when they renew their license, cause far too many ppl don't have a clue! When the fires were on here heaps of lights were out. This meant heaps of crashes. So few ppl know that you have to stop and give way to the left! -
I agree with akeenan, if you are in front you have the right to end it! I always stop 10 to 20kms over da speedlimit. But yeah, it's so true how they always speed off into the distance! I always hit hazards if I win, but I might switch to indicators, it's less of an effort!

keca18: I am soooooo with you on the fog light thing! When I come across it I sit up their ass with my highs on! So many idiots just don't know when to use their fog light. Most of 'em drive excels! I miss my Astra when I do come across it, 'cause the Astra had a fog light so I'd overtake them and then turn mine on to get even! I thought the funniest thing about the news article was that they said the police didn't know why these Mitsu ppl were targeting excels! Maybe if they asked somone other than an excel driver!!!
