  2. i am having the rear part (in front of rear wheel) of my n1 skirts resprayed soon and would like to purchase from nissan the necessary clips which are the part numbers needed just for the rear section? jase
  3. ah yes they do differ, my bnr32 is a late model and the positions are 12 and 6 oclock your boss kit should line it in the correct postion which boss kit do you have. is it a hkb one? from memory the hkb 110 is the boss kit for the early bnr32
  4. i didnt pay any attention to which way i rotated it. i just rotated so that the horn wire was at 6 oclock
  5. well done on your purchase and welcome the gtr looks the goods jase
  6. hey mate i have had this exact same problem. bought a bnr32 with an aftermarket steering wheel. when inspecting i didnt notice the blown hicas warning light on the dash once i went through the car and replaced the globe, the warning light came on after exactly 10kms on the freeway. did my research and noticed i had the wrong boss kit. fitted the right boss kit and still had the same problem. after coming across a thread on here about differences in the early and late model bnr32 steering wheels i noticed from the pics that my hicas clock was upside down. from memory the plug with the lead to the horn needs to be at the bottom ie 6oclock. This fixed the problem for me. Also i found the steering wheel has to be dead straight. slightly off and the light comes on hopes this helps jase
  7. I have been back to the panel beater and yep it needs to be resprayed. Roof is going to be stripped right back and resprayed, down the a pillars and the rear quarters. Whilst they have the car I am having all plastic components repsrayed (grille, N1 kit, mirrors, tail lights etc). Job will be done properly and all glass will come out. The great thing about it is the windscreen guy they use is going to use a generic rubber over the edges and over the front and rear windscreens rather then me forking out $800 for the original trim kits. The screens will be removed, reinstalled and custom rubber install done for <$500 Will be done in the next few months..
  8. I would be keen to know the part number. If you could post it that would be great. Jase

  13. hey ryno i have a 93 r32 gtr that still has hicas but occassionally has heavy steering at low speeds/parking. Can the above solution you put in place be useful for my situation? Jase
  14. anybody know the part numbers for the genuine ones?
  15. yeah i have had the car 1.5 years and have spent quite a bit on it restoring it. wouldnt have it any other way though. yeah the panel shop i will use i have used before. he will strip it right back
  16. ok cool thanks man i thought that was the case. off to the paint shop and time to open the wallet again!
  17. Hey guys Looking for opinions on paint damage to the roof of my R32 GTR The car was resprayed in the original colour in Japan and whilst a good finish, the roof has a few spots where there is damage to the paint, under the clear coat. I have had a quote to respray the whole roof (removing all glass) and fix crazing on some plastics components for $2k. By the time i buy new trim pieces from nissan and pay to remove/refit glass it will be close to $3.5k Sorry but to the point i was wondering if anyone is aware of any other options other then a full respray of the roof as its isolated to a few areas only. Im also not quite sure what paint damage it is. Here are some pics: Cheers Jase
  18. hey mate, thanks sure did. the gtr didnt miss a beat. hope you had a great day at eastern creek!
  19. no worries mate. had to share my experience on this as it drove me batty for ages...
  20. well done on your purchase i have a 32GTR also that i am restoring Regarding your HICAS issue - sounds very similar to the issue i had. Do you have an aftermarket steering wheel by any chance? If so you may have the wrong boss kit which is incompatible with the hicas clock behind your steering wheel In my case fitting the correct boss kit and aligning the steering wheel and hicas clock correctly fixed my issue. My HICAS light would come on exactly after 10kms of driving on the freeway Jase
