  1. Just wondering how my R31 Import skyline effects the resale on R33? I would have assumed most people buy imports for the fun in driving them, not what they can sell them for down the track. Depreciation is a way of life. R33's are a long way off the 15yr rule anyway! Some people like the older cars and/or can only afford them. I would love to walk into a yard an buy a near new import but its not possible. In the near future I will be looking at an R32 about $10K in near immaculate condition brought in the country. I would rather spend my hard earned money on a nice skyline than EL falcon or VT commonwhore!!! So i am sorry if i offend anyone in saying that i will continue buying cheaper 15yr cars and petitioning, regardless of everyones resales! P.S: There are also limitations on 15+ imports, these "@#$*box's" still need to be registered and engineer approved to drive them!
  2. Yes its the GSR in Rathmines. Although Its no longer for sale, doing an EVO conversion instead.
  3. I've driven along the main street of town when 3 idiots yell out "Buy a real skyline!" Whats wrong with a turbo HR31?
  4. Is it the twincam, turbo or both? What colour is the interior? What options has it got? I am interested in all the glass, badges, front struts & brakes (if twincam turbo) and wing mirrors. How much would you be after? Please PM me, i may be very interested in more parts!
  5. now with brand new exedy clutch, drives heaps better!!!:burnout:
  6. 7. I sent the pics off for those who didnt get them the first time. If i have missed someone or want to know more please let me know!
  8. All pic's sent. I am not sure on the power output, but it is quick and nice to drive too (still gonna keep the 'line' though). Oh and i forgot to mention the evo fuel pump too! Bunbury is in the south west of WA.
  9. My brother is selling his lancer GSR: White with Evo 3 bodykit (minus bonnet) 17' multi-spoke mags (painted gun metal grey) Larger Evo 3 turbo Evo 3 intercooler 3' mandrel bent from frontpipe back with cat and stainless muffler Koni adjustables front and rear King lowered springs Battery moved to the boot with isolator switch under bonnet Remote oil filter Turbosmart bleed valve Autometer Boost gauge Sparco pedals $20K Firm Reason for sale is he wants to upgrade to genuine Evolution.
  10. I have an R32 engine cross member out of my front cut but i am in WA!
  11. I need an late R32 RB20DET manual ecu, fried my one!
  12. Its not the starter motor as it started on the last engine. That side of the engine runs on the car loom. I think its got more to do with the wiring than engine itself.
  13. Can anybody please help? I am in the process of converting my R31 passage from RB20ET to an R32 RB20DET but i cant get it started!! The engine cranks over and i have checked there is fuel getting to the rail but it sounds like there is no spark to get it going. The self diagnostic mode says its the ignition signal system. I have wired up the 8 of the nine wires under the dash; ign, start, fuel, neutral switch, earth, speed sensor, tacho (if it works) and the AC switch. I didnt hook up the "cold start valve" wire because i wouldnt have a clue where it goes. And the permanent power for the ECU is connected under the bonnet off the 31 loom. Is there any other wires on the 32 engine that have to be connected? thanks.
  14. The 31 engine is the ECCS not NICS. The NICS wouldnt be a great improvement on the single cam. I forgot about the port difference between the the two, and the BB turbo is only on the late 32, the one with the BOV. Thanks for the tip with the double synchros in the 32 box. Oh and someone has managed tune the 31 with the use of a chip. I take it things that fit the 32 RB20 like adj. cam gears, aftermarket dump pipes etc...... dont fit the 31? Thanks for the input.
  15. Thanks for your help guys. Ive already got the manual so thats not a major problem (damn synchros). The 32 is a front cut so i get everything including another stronger box but minus the brakes. The 31 is the engine, loom, cooler and plumbing hence the price difference.
  16. All imports are limited to 180km/h by law in japan i think? The only way to get around this is to change the computer (eg power FC)or a speed cut defender or get the computer chipped.
  17. I was wondering if anyone can help? I have an RB20ET in my Passage GT which is absolutely gutless and i wish to upgrade to a twincam. I have a choice of a HR31 ECCS twincam turbo from an auto for $1000 with all accessories needed or a HR32 front cut for just over $2K. Both have about 105km on each. Now i know that the 31 has 153kW and the 32 has 160kw, I wanted to know what other mechanical differences (head design, turbos, easy mods, etc...) which would help me make up my mind and if there is any major disadvantage using the 31 other than power? Thanks
  18. So Eon whens the next one? And are you gonna get more people? Oh and put more driving in next one too!
