  1. Im just after a gtr head and was going to get one off spoolimports but aparantly he doesnt get them in anymore. What other places stock them or where's the best place to get one? Ill put a wanted ad in the for sale section. Thanks
  2. Freshly built rb25/30. A rundown of what it consists of is - top end - rb25 head, huge porting job, vvt setup for use with rb30 block, inlet manifold match ported to head, na cams, head studs. Bottom end- wiseco forged pistons, shotpeened rods, o-ringed, all machined and blueprinted. Also comes with plenum and adjustable cam gears, coils, and wiring loom. Im after 4500. If any of you knew how much this cost to setup you would realise its a very fair price, thankyou
  3. Send me ur email and ill get you a couple of pics
  4. Now $4500. I want it gone. Cmon guys someone must want a forged bottom end with a heavily ported 25 head ready to go?
  5. Sorry, its now fixed up. Im after 4800ono for the lot.
  6. I have for sale a rb 25 head set up to use on a rb30 block. It has had major porting done to it, has been reconditioned and has the vvt setup on it. No other modifications are needed to fit this head onto an rb30 block. What it includes is rb25 na cams as they are slightly better than the turbo ones, adjustable cam gears (os giken i think), Rb25 plenum port matched to head, throttle body, vvt setup, cam covers etc, and coils packs. I may also be able to chase up an exhaust manifold for it. Im after 2000ono for the head setup. I may also sell my new forged bottom end to suit with it or seperately. It has been blueprinted and balanced, has wiseco forged pistons to suit the 25 head, shotpeened rods, oringed etc etc. This bottom end was built by jason giller so it is a quality bottom end. Im after 3500ono for it. I will sell it complete for 4800ono, thanks
  7. Ok guys, I picked up a brand new rebuilt 25/30 for too good a price to let go. It has wiseco forgies, blueprinted bottom end, HE sump. The head has had heaps of machining but apart from that has stock cams etc. Im after 500rwkw in race tune and 300 to 350rwkw street as i want get into the low 9's eventually (in a vl shell). Im getting the bottom end strengthened with argo rods and the other bits to cop 500rwkw but im unsure of the headwork. I have searched a fair bit and realise its easier to get a 26 head but this head has had heaps of porting so would preferably like to keep it. Im using a mr turbo t72 and all other supporting mods. Ill ditch the vvt and use some cams around the 272 mark. My quetions are: 1) Whats the limit of hydraulic lifters? Do they limit lift to 9mm and the rev limit? If so would i need higher lift cams with my setup and goals? I dont plan on using heaps of revs (7500 limit maybe 8 for drags) 2) How do i go about changing my head to solid lifters? What parts are required apart from the lifters? Are the tomie solid lifters no longer available as they are still on greenline i think? 3) if they arent available from greenline whats my other option as i read you can get em in australia for 1500 which is a bit much. 4) should i still sell my head and get a 26? If anyone could shed some light in this grey area for my i would really appreciate it
  8. Im getting a t72 off him to go on my 25/30. He uses the new gt series wheels and much lighter ceramic ball beraings so it should have the goods.
  9. Good job mate. Do u mind me asking how much the materials cost you as im going to have a go at this myself since i have a mate who can weld.
  10. Just wondering if anyone has used a Mr Turbo turbo? Anyone had any experiences with them?
  11. Ive decided to go bigger so i have to sell this. It is a brand new gt3540 with the 1.06 rear. It has a polished front housing and hpc coated rear. Im after $2000 for it. It cost me a lot more than this.
  12. Im kind of in the same boat as you mate. Im building up an engine rb25/30, that will be using a gt3540 (1.06 rear) but i want it to be able to handle 500rwkw if i decide to go stupid one day and whack on a bigger turbo! The engines already built but is pretty standard apart from the wiseco pistons, HE sump, and head studs. So its being pulled apart to put in some argo rods, better oil and water pump (N1), and i dont know much about what else is needed? The only thing im unsure of is bearing studs? I think ive got everything else covered.
  13. Yeah what size are the outlets? and do you know what brand of core it is and you just bought it so its brand new? thanks
  14. Yes its fully assembled and is brand new never used. I can take some pics 4 you just send me your email. Yeah i could send it interstate, dont know how much it would cost though?
  15. I might have a change of plans as i will be needing forged rods in my new setup. It may be easier to sell this complete bottom end and build another one with forged rods. The reason for selling it and not putting rods in this one is the place im taking my car would rather me use their engine as basically they wont guarantee anything that is not theirs. Item: forged 3lt bottom end Location: vic, eastern suburbs Item Condition: brand new, still in wrapping Price and Payment Conditions: $3500 Extra Info: Contains wiseco forged pistons, shotpeened rods, arp rod bolts, o-ringed block, all machining etc and is blueprinted and balanced. This is setup for the vvt head. The compression ratio is 8:1. Contact Details: via pm or 0400 685 789 This bottom end would make an ideal replacememt for the standard rb25 bottom end if you plan on big modifications in the future.
  16. Thanks for the info. Have you got any idea on the costs of these coils? particularly the mercury ones and of the 500r CDI itself?
  17. So even if i get the autronic CDI i still have to use the standard coils? or 6 coils still?
  18. G'day, i was just wondering about crane cams hi-6 CDI ignition. I have an rb25/30 with an autronic, gt3540 (1.06) and i dont want to use the standard coils because of the problems they have. I am aiming for 350-400rwkw. What i am wondering is how the crane cams ignition is setup because it only has one coil when there were 6 originally? Anyone used this?
  19. So if splitfires dont give a greater spark and are just new whats the next thing to do if you need more ignition? I was looking at crane cams ignition? How would this go?
  20. Could someone help me out. I cant find where racepace is? Its not in the phonebook and ive searched on here 4 it to. I need their no. and address if somebody has them, thanks heaps.
  21. Ok guys, i am in the process of building a motor/driveline for my car and i am in need of some expert advice as i dont have much of an idea on cam choice. I purchased a rb25/30 with forged pistons, o-ringed block, shotpeened rods, rod bolts etc etc at too good a price to let go. The head has been setup for vct and comes with the n/a cams. The head also has heaps of porting work done to it. The turbo i am using is a gt35 with the 1.06 rear and its rated at 700hp. I have worked out everything else in my setup and have almost everything except cams. Im after an easy 300 and up to 350rwkw in street tune and up to 400rwkw race tune. I dont want to rev this engine too hard so ill most likely have the rev limiter around 7000rpm as peak power will be made below this anyway. Ive done extensive research on cams/springs for rb25's but still am unclear on these things: 1) What cams would suit this setup? I was thinking either poncams 256 260 or 264 but which ones?? Some people say ditch vct at this power level? If it is already setup how do i ditch it? Just unplug it? And if i do ditch it can i still use these poncams? 2)What springs if any? Are the turbo springs any good? Would they take 28psi? Do i need to replace them? Thanks in advance

Hey guys was out at the nats on the weekend and saw some pretty impressive skylines, most of which were showing the v8 boys a thing or two was wondering if any1 had any pics to post Did anyone get any hassles from the boys in blue? we stood out the front and watched even the most standard of cars gettin defected for the hell of it. cars were just cruising out and gettin pulled over Kind of discouraging us by doing the right thing and doing it on the track, not the streets.
