Well i wouldn't mind them permanently, but just for a day would be really good....
-
Thats fair enough, oh and standard rims aren't what i'm after either, coz i got 2 sets of 255/40 17inch tyres that are almost bald, but would be good as track tyres...
-
Well i need them for monday!!! So thats why i was asking here...
-
I was wondering if anyone out there has a pair of 17inch rims that they're willing to sell me??? I'm after something around the 235-255... I don't really care what condition there in, long as they can be bolted onto the hub... I want them as track/drift tyres... :burnout: Thanks, Woody.

Jash at C-Red has the RG pads for about $160.00 an end... I got them in my car, work pretty well, only things i don't like too much is that they squeal like a little pig... Doesn't do it all the time, just every now and again....

I got a canary for my Blitz BOV being too loud, so i took it straight down to welshpool and i got done like a dinner: BOV too loud, reticify: Took trumpet off, made it really quite. Radius rods, fit original or approved type: when i went down a second time, i took the originals with me. High level brake lights not working: i had to ask a few people at welshpool want this meant coz the first guy didn't explain it to me... What it mean was the standard rear spoiler brake light wasn't working, so i took it apart and resoldered a new diode onto the board and it worked again... Tint too dark: I had limo tint on the quarter panels, so i removed it. O2 sensor in CAT not connected: There is no O2 sensor in cat, so i had to point out where it is. Brakes binding: ?????? apparently when they jacked the car up (nearly destroying my side skirt), they spun the wheel and said it didn't spin freely... They never checked it again when i went back... Pillar guages obstruct view: I spoke to Bill about this and the thing to be careful with is the top pillar guage is not to be in front of the steering wheel, so in an accident to don't smash your face against it, but i just removed mine to get it over... There were a few other bits and pieces, but i cant remember In the end i got a permit for my BOV, exhaust with a 120mm outlet , radius rods and pod filter...

8 second daily driver....my plan.

I think theres something else missing too... I think they're superchargers that look like turbos... If ya look carefully there are belts going to what looks like the exhaust housing and also look how close they are to the block, how would the dump pipes fit in and the direction the turbos are facing would be an issue... But maybe i'm just delusional after little sleep and getting up early for work... -
most rwkw with stock turbo & cooler???

When i first got my Skyline all i had was a pod filter, an Apexi piggy-back F-Manage, Apexi AVC-R Gen1 EBC and a Nismo 2-way LSD... I got 190rwkw at 0.85bar.... -
One of the beautiful features of the Autronic is the Autotune... Setup the ignition maps then hook an analyser and run through the different rpm vs load sites and it will determine exactly how much fuel is required.... Takes out a lot of the guess work and speeds up the tuning process... Also if you go for the Autronic SM2 (like me) then you can also have traction control... Good for when it starts raining... and Launch Control for drags... as well as adaptive Closed Loop for long distance driving... I should be taking a trip down to Pemberton soon, so it will be interesting to see how it goes...

I got a Optima Deep Cycle Marine battery... Fully sealed any everything... puts out like 750cc @ 65 or 70 amp hours... Coz the battery is so big i had to do some cutting to the battery shelf and put the battery on its side and put bigger terminals on... The battery cost me $300 from Battery World from memory... Its damn good too, just as a test, while washing my car had my stereo cranked for 2 hours (very decent stereo system) and the car started beautifully afterwards....

You mean the suction noise?? My Skyline did that before i put the new plenum on there... But it has made it louder....
-
Standard Air Flow Meter in awesome nic - $200 Standard R33 injectors and Fuel Rail - $200 Standard Intercooler and pipes - $200 Apexi AVC-R Gen1 Boost Controller - $500
-
I got a Sub-Zero plenum + fuel rail at the end of last year... Very nice, good sized Bell-Mouths... I'm running a EF Throttle body with the Ford TPS, but Glenn at C-Red took the Ford Throttle linkage off and put the standard Nissan one on... I'm running Autronics SM2 V1.94... The plenum is awesome!!!! DAMQIK GTS-T is right about that solenoid...
-
DUDE!!! That sucks big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hey kym, with the screaming turbo, does it sound like a loud sucking sound through the pod filter??? Mine does that and sounds awesome, know a few other people who have both aftermarket turbos and std turbos and theirs don't make that sound...
-
The unfortunate thing is i have to teach on Wednesday nights... So i'll have to make special effort during the school holidays... Yes the 30th April sounds like a plan... Well i think i've successfully hijacked this thread... Sorry Dan...
-
Yeah i'll be up for that... Haven't been down to the drags at all, but i'm sure it'll all be good... :uh-huh:
-
hmmm damn, well then i think we should organise a dyno shootout then... :uh-huh: I reckon i'll be close... But the standard turbo ran outta puff about 50 hp ago... Nah 300rwhp would be the max it could do, i'm finding now that if i up the boost it doesn't do anything for performance, it just generates heat... Well i got a nice Garrett GT30 sitting at home, just need a manifold, external wastegate and a few other bits and pieces... Then it will be :burnout: time... Woody.
-
Well Dan, i think with some tweaking i'll be riping chucks outta your heels if not the whole foot... Well i've been to chipmaster which is a brand new dyno which doesn't run any adjustments... (Same place where the yellow Monaro got stolen) I would like to enter the Salon, but unfortunately i might be going to Margaret River... Hmmmm doesn't anyone know what the latest date to enter the dyno shootout??
-
Amen GTS-t VSPEC, i certianly know where your coming from, the rotational idle can be a problem in heavy traffic, or in the wet which i had to experience a couple of days ago... Well dan, i think i might be able to give you a run for ya money... I should be around the 280rwhp mark with std turbo running .7bar and it is miles outta efficiency... I've got a C-Red special clutch installed at the moment, its a Racing Gear single plate rated to about 2400lbs... Same one used in their drift-pig and that thing took a hammering!!!
-
No the A/F ratios are about 11.5 (i think, can't remember now), its just that its been tuned properly... Jash: Yeah my surname is in my e-mail address [email protected] Regards, Alan Woodman (Woody).
-
Yeah its just the way the Autronic has been tuned...
-
I was a little nervous, but i was more of concentrating on the words i was using.... I didn't want to say the wrong thing... I did get a bit of wheel spin, i planted my foot a bit too quick and as soon as wheelspin kicked in i stopped coz i didn't think it was very appropriate... That was about 4000rpm that the wheelspin kicked in too.... I get excellent drifts outta my street onto the main road, its awesome, as well as a left hand sweeper of 3 lanes off Wharf St onto Albany Highway with the cop station on the corner...
-
I only pulled out once, but i went to the end of the street and turned right onto my other road and did a u-turn and went back and they did some more footage of me going up and down the street...
-
Yeah they asked me to start polishing the line... I got "Directed around by the camera man...
