  2. @JdonR34 Hey bro can you tell me what the part number is for the stater motor? is it the same as series 2? or are the neo's different
  3. So did you get it started in the end? and it was all due to poor timing?
  4. Okay guys... thank you all very much we were just concerned as SOMTIMES it can be impossible depending on the car and its space available in the engine bay. Still learning everyday its also my first time and my first build ??
  5. Thanks for the advice guys, and yes the gear box is still in the car and the engine is ready to go back in.... we were wondering how hard it was (if possible) to mate the gear box and engine in this pariticular case rb25 in an r34 . But from what i am understanding from you guys is that yes it is possible @Duncan @Ben C34
  6. So my mechanic and i was wondering if its possible to put back the rb25 engine in my R34 Skyline with the transmission still in the car... Asking because to drop the transmission is alot of extra work and we wanna know if they can be mated together when they are both in the car. I cant find any example or video on any forum or on youtube... only seeing guys who mate them out the car and THEN put it back in all at once. If anyone has done this before please let us know! Thanks -Dylan
  7. Hello everyone HELP i am currently converting my r34 GT rb25de NEO to now become turbo charged....now i have a couple of questions for you guys that i hope you can help me with. #1 Is it possible to use a complete stock r33 turbo intake? or a fredyy/greddy? ( I HAVE BOTH) #2 Can it be done using stock NA/DE engine Harness? Lastly i Have a Turbo R34 GTT Ecu to run it all. THANKS! ADVICE IS URGENTLY NEEDED

  10. @Amghugs I private messaged you!
  11. @NEO25T Hey bro i really need a lil help... i am gunna message you directly
  12. @NEO25T wow bro that is really beautiful, so did a cnc machine "port" your head to the bigger DET holes? what coil packs are you running? is that timing belt cover from a series 2, because it looks like the steel ones and not the plastic NEO ones? and LASTLY, for you catch can, what the fittings you used to fit in the standard holes in the valve covers? i know its AN but can you explain how you made it work, i would like to do the same as well
  13. @NEO25T wow bro! never seen them side by side before... just by eye i can see that bottom piston (NA) piston is taller/longer then the top (turbo) pistons.
  14. @NEO25T Hey bro thanks for the reply, its nice to see someone else has gone through the same journey i am doing right now, so .... what you are saying is that the DE neo pistons are larger/taller than the DET neo pistons and that is what makes up the difference is compression ratios between DET and DE neo's? I am still very keen on using CP forged DET NEO pistons, but before i order i must be 100% certain that i wouldnt run into any valve clearance issues with the DE neo Head. but from what i am hearing and reading, they are the same dome size only the intake ports are smaller and shouldnt have issues hopefully. Lastly, for your build, what intake plenum did you use? a series 2 r33 det, or r34 det neo, or the DE neo "y" intake that it came with? Thanks alot
  15. @GTSBoy okay so i been doing research on RB connecting rods and from i have been hearing people say in the forums is that they are the same with the overall height of 121.5mm AND from what you can buy online, all the aftermarket brands of connecting rods mention that they are both compatible for 25 and rb26. so that would mean that the difference in Compression and Valve clearance between neo's series 2's and rb26's must not be from the Rod height but rather the smaller NEO head's dome cc and Pistons. .... what do you think bro?
  16. @GTSBoy wow bro thanks for that insight, i didnt even think of that! what i will do now is pull the pistons form th de neo and the series 2, take pictures and measurements of them side by side and post them here soon. @KiwiRS4T i was actually planning to do that after i realized i was scammed how ever the engine's wiring harness and ecu harness will not match the R34's due to the fact that the r34 is only compatible with NEO's
  17. Hey bro, thanks for the confirmation. the real story is... i bought a "neo DET" to replace my NEO de naturally aspirated but i basically got scammed once the engine was delivered to me because it wasnt actually NEO but rather a late series 2 possibly a series 3 that has the plastic hitachi CAS sensor and basically now i am swapping over all the parts. kind of a frankenstien build really.
  18. haha! okay bro i am gunna hold you to that bet! ?i feel like i am planning to do somthing that hasnt been done before. but yes i BELIEVE it shouldnt have clearance issues.
  19. i can help you identify by seeing a picture but a very easy way is that the neo's timing belt cover is plastic. people often say if the CAS is plastic its a neo BUT its not true because very late model series 2 and the ultra rare series 3's cam with plastic CAS hitachi ones too
  20. @GTSBoy @Ben C34 sorry for manually tagging you guys, only realized that you can make a reply with the "quote" button
  21. Yeah i definitely agree with you bro and also... thanks for the reply i really appreciate this community thus far helping a noob out like me. however i feel that it is an investment that is worth it for peace of mind and reliability but really my question is, is it compatible with NEO det pistons?
