  1. I did more research and it's gotten tricker, from what I read coilovers can't be comfortable like stock but I guess the MCA pro comfort you mentioned is similar? Will get them a call to. Quite expensive though, my budget for coilovers was $1,500
  2. Ah ok, appreciate the info will re assess my options.
  3. I could go coilovers, but from what I understand they don't seem to last as long as struts? I just want that comfortable ride, don't care about the performance side of things. I have the king springs already, there is a small chance I'll have to get new ones if these are too low but they should be at least 100mm. What makes you think those are bad? They seem to be at a decent price for quality. Now to hope the airbag doesn't go off lol. Will unhook the negative battery terminal and wait 15 mins.
  4. One thing I forgot to mention as well, my airbag isn't flush with the steering wheel it's sticking out so imagine that might have something to do with it. But will see still if I can find a wiring diagram.
  5. I was going to get something like this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/133127728644
  6. I raised my car above 100mm and it's much better than what it used to be, but i think the coilovers are junk because when i go over speed bumps, feels like my whole suspension is gonna fall off lol.
  7. The ones I'm looking for are OEM and have king springs. Will check out the wiring stuff. Cheers for the info on KYB, seems interesting.
  8. Hey all, I was looking to get some insights on for a more comfy ride. I currently have tien coilovers but it's pretty bumpy on the road even with the dampness being all the way soft, so looking to get oem style ride quality whilst having the car roughly an inch lower so I was going to opt for stock struts + kingsprings, is this worth it or would I end up having a similar experience to coilovers? On a side note, my horn randomly goes off, even when the car is off and stationary, I went to replace the relay to see if it would fix it and same issue, as I went to put the new relay it, it immediately started going off, without even the relay been in, just metal to metal contact. Only way to shut it it off is to pressing the horn but it generally starting going off almost immediately. For context, I did have someone installed a reverse camera 3 days prior to it happening, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
  9. Is that an issue with the car running rich or lean, or just simply because it's modded it requires more frequent maintenance?
  10. Hey all, I was wondering for a modified car which spark plugs do you use? My mechanic recommended copper for modified cars but from what I understand they don't last as long?
  11. Bearings got replaced (could have been cheap ones, though I am leaning towards it), will get it checked out one of these days. Doubt it's the diff, can't hear it on passenger side only driver side.
  12. Thought would of been maybe been a standard noise that someone would recognise but I see what you're saying.
  13. Yeah probs will have to in the end lol.
  14. Hey all, on my Subaru I noticed I have a whistling sound when from 60km an hour onwards, below that I don't hear it. I used to hear it from 80km onwards but now it's 60km. It does seem to get louder then plateau's, I thought maybe it's the wheel bearings but I got them replaced about 70,000km ago, unless the mechanic put cheap ones on. What would you guys lean towards it being? Also when going over small bumps and especially when I'm turning the wheel on bumps I can hear like a twitching sound I think from the rear passenger side, maybe the strut? I know the rear of the car itself has been squeaky probably since I bought it (separate issue), but I've never fixed it as I generally don't have people sitting in the back and it's not overly noticeable unless I go over bumps with people in the back or if I'm driving myself but turn into a carpark ramp to go up the parking.
  15. Hey all, I hadn't mentioned that I bought the car and it all went well though the seller definitely came across as dodgy and kept changing things. I ended up getting proof of ownership so there was no worries there, but a fair bit of servicing is required which will cost me a couple of grand. Car I bought btw was a skyline r34 25gt turbo. I'm not going to make the same mistakes I made last time, and will get a proper mechanic who specializes in these vehicles to do all the initial stuffthen I'll do servicing from there onwards. Thanks to everyone for their help as always.
  16. Ah ok good to know.
  17. I'm trying to keep it private for now but it's a pretty large sum. It's at market value roughly.
  18. I happened to also modify some of my notes. No problem thanks for your help though. I might seek some legal advice on it.
  19. They haven't put it up for sale yet so they happened to message me prior to putting it up for sale, let's say it's not a traditional dealership, just some guy with a dealer license who has a few cars.
  20. They are a licensed dealer, have a dealer license.
  21. Yes same car. No it's private, it will come registered (i managed to sort that out). It does have a hole for the piping but I'm happy with how it's done. It's not drilled into the rail.
  22. Yeah that's what I'm thinking I got in touch with some dealers, and one of them laughed because even they said it's dodgy lol.
