  1. Yeah probs will have to in the end lol.
  2. Hey all, on my Subaru I noticed I have a whistling sound when from 60km an hour onwards, below that I don't hear it. I used to hear it from 80km onwards but now it's 60km. It does seem to get louder then plateau's, I thought maybe it's the wheel bearings but I got them replaced about 70,000km ago, unless the mechanic put cheap ones on. What would you guys lean towards it being? Also when going over small bumps and especially when I'm turning the wheel on bumps I can hear like a twitching sound I think from the rear passenger side, maybe the strut? I know the rear of the car itself has been squeaky probably since I bought it (separate issue), but I've never fixed it as I generally don't have people sitting in the back and it's not overly noticeable unless I go over bumps with people in the back or if I'm driving myself but turn into a carpark ramp to go up the parking.
  3. Hey all, I hadn't mentioned that I bought the car and it all went well though the seller definitely came across as dodgy and kept changing things. I ended up getting proof of ownership so there was no worries there, but a fair bit of servicing is required which will cost me a couple of grand. Car I bought btw was a skyline r34 25gt turbo. I'm not going to make the same mistakes I made last time, and will get a proper mechanic who specializes in these vehicles to do all the initial stuffthen I'll do servicing from there onwards. Thanks to everyone for their help as always.
  4. Ah ok good to know.
  5. I'm trying to keep it private for now but it's a pretty large sum. It's at market value roughly.
  6. I happened to also modify some of my notes. No problem thanks for your help though. I might seek some legal advice on it.
  7. They haven't put it up for sale yet so they happened to message me prior to putting it up for sale, let's say it's not a traditional dealership, just some guy with a dealer license who has a few cars.
  8. They are a licensed dealer, have a dealer license.
  9. Yes same car. No it's private, it will come registered (i managed to sort that out). It does have a hole for the piping but I'm happy with how it's done. It's not drilled into the rail.
  10. Yeah that's what I'm thinking I got in touch with some dealers, and one of them laughed because even they said it's dodgy lol.
  11. Sure so they gave me the invoice for the full payment of the vehicle and said that, that is the legal contract and that's it.
  12. @Murray_Calavera A dealer is selling the car and there is no contract of sale just an invoice and receipt, this doesn't sound right to me. What are your thoughts on it?
  13. oh that's strange.
  14. A lot of good info here, thanks a bunch. I guess in the case of cops defecting me, best i could do is take it to court worst case scenario
  15. Do you think i should completely avoid buying a car where there is a hole in the structural component of the car because of the intercooler install?, I understand welding it up won't bring it back to factory strength. i thought if an engineer signs off on it the cops can't do anything
  16. i read this again. I can relate to this actually, In a similar scenario!
  17. Ah yep, will check that out again.
  18. Yep will do, I'll get them to do rego will save me the headache.
  19. Nope, clear ppsr.
  20. Also note, the seller doesn't have proof how the car came into their possession, so will get them to rego it. I assume services nsw will ask them for that information and if they can't fork it up, then I dodged a bullet.
  21. What did you mean by engine swap? I think you replied to one of my other threads about repairable writeoffs having different engines numbers, are you saying if it's different to the original one it can cause issues?
  22. Looks like I'll need both green and blue. Green and blue are mandatory.
  23. I just called Service NSW and they said, they take interstate plates and de rego the car, which sounded odd.
  24. Hey, just updated it sorry somehow missed that part. yes it is.
  25. It's a bit of a different situation now, funds are good. Looking local now, I'm getting the car inspected and it just seems the seller is the complication now. The car is in NSW but registered in another state.
