  1. Hmm that sounds pretty bad lol. So that applies for all cars right even the s15's that have the bov blocked off?
  2. A lot of them are driven by p platers with stock ecu's lol. When does the stalling usually happen is it high speeds?
  3. My tuner told me this as well that the reason the car will stall is because it has a AFM system, he said it I want to do it properly I need to delete that system, he said I can try it though to see how it goes. My BOV recirculates btw (can hear flutter sometimes though), how do s15's and stuff not stall and they also have the AFM system? I was considering blocking it off for ovbious reasons but was hesistant because of the above.
  4. yep lol
  5. That's an absolute dog of a job for just one bolt lol. May as well get my turbo high flowed while I'm there lol
  6. Was wondering if anyone knows this?
  7. Not with adjusting the odometer but the calibration of the cluster, because the dials are in different positions I believe? a 180kph cluster vs a 320kph cluster.
  8. In Sydney. I didn't want to update the cluster originally for that reason of, I had no idea where to find someone who does calibrate the km's, also it's expensive af lol. Just wanted to make my faceplate look a bit more modern.
  9. Might be a stupid question, but if you wanted to just change the face plate (not the whole cluster) to a higher km one, how would one go getting the cluster recalibrated or it doesn't work?
  10. Doing this on a neo is a f**king pain in the ass. The intake side, you gotta remove the throttle position sensor which I think is easy to screw up. So much shit to remove lol. How does one get to this screw without removing everything? You can't get a screw driver or socket extension down there. Photo is from a post on this forum for reference. Also looks like you can't remove that bracket without removing the exhaust manifold or at least some of the accessories around it?
  11. Ah ok. I guess the solution here is a decat 😂 I kept hearing people saying those bits can end up in your engine as opposed to going out the exhaust? @R31Nismoid i think you mentioned this on another thread?
  12. Yeah, I'll need to check with the tuner it sounds like. I only wanted 12 psi max. I had the mechanic check the shaft play and they told me it was good. I'm hoping I didn't do damage when I did a quick pull and hit 15 psi. Did you thrash your car regularly for 10 years or was it just a hit here and there? I'm trying to get an idea of how long I can rock this. Ideally I don't replace the turbo lol. But yeah it's a lottery at the same time like you said.
  13. Nope mine is quite modified, I went from 12 max psi to almost 15 I don't want to blow my stock turbo. I had my car tuned btw I forgot to mention.
  14. Is overboosting normal even with a boost controller? I got told that it's normal if you tune for X psi and it goes over that if you have a modified exhaust system. Didn't sound right to me.
  15. How important is having a nipple? If your car overboosts on X psi (let's say we've boosted the car) if we don't have a nipple but have a boost controller do we run the risk of overboosting? I thought the controller controls that.
  16. Like the others mentioned, you could do more damage because you're driving a car that isn't running right. It's like lifting at the gym when you've already injured yourself. You're just going to injure yourself more if you keep going, instead you should fix the issue (heal the muscle) before continuing.
  17. Ah right. I guess the CAS is also related to that?
  18. When you say timing wasn't right are you referring to the timing belt being a tooth off? I think my AFR's are f**ked but will find out soon.
  19. I'm just relaying what my mechanic told me. In my other post i talked about sonething similiar but some mechanics said to me that black smoke "can" be normal. But I'm out of my depth here. Ecu is usually under the driver footwell? Or ive seen it sometimes on passenger footwells. Couldn't see it either. If it hasn't been tuned, is it even possible for a car to run well (meaning it feels normal when driving, not thinking about A/F ratios and such) if it hasn't been tuned on a aftermarket ecu? Either way needs a tune, I'll leave it to the professionals.
