i had an almost identical issue to whats described. managed to get lucky and pick up a second hand unit relatively cheap. after installation of the new unit, i went back and had a good look at old ac unit and noticed that the 3 main solder joins on the back were alll cracked and not making proper connection, didnt bother to test the theory, but its somthing to look into. i also had the same issue with the boost sensor in the engine bay. the one leading to the centre gauge. solder was cracked leading to poor connection, chucked an iron on it and - good as new.

Could anyone please shed some light on the import tax/fees when bringing in car parts to the country (AUS) looking to buy a GTT 5 speed through NENGUN in the next few weeks, but their website doesn’t offer any specific detail in regards to import fees. as this is my first time purchasing car parts $1000+ Overseas I’m abit in the dark. any insight would be great 👍

I understand you’re reasoning for saying that, but there’s already video run throughs on YouTube of people doing it to their 32/33’s but not 34. just figured I’d put it out there and if I’m lucky someone might DM me with some basic pointers for r34 specific

Anyone got a diagram or run through of an alarm install for an r34? willing to sift through the online wiring diagrams, but figure I’ll try my luck to see if someone has gone through & documented the process.

Once again, I can see the search button - yes, I've searched more than a handful of times for the awnser. Looking for replacement lights for the triple gauge/dash cluster in my r34 *white/green*. (I don't care how inaccurate the factory gauges are.) Last week i spent at least 3 hours running around to various auto shops with no success - repco/jaycar/autobarn/SCA/auto1/burson & ebay Anyone know whare I can find these lights?

How' does it compare in spool and torque to say..... a bolt-on a hypergear atr45? Id agree that borg are worth the $$ but it's quite a difference

Ok, first off, before I go any further YES im aware of the search button, I'm aware this subject has been covered probably a million times over. And yes I've done abit of research...but just out of curiosity for the 4 people who still give feedback on this site. - I'm looking for potential turbo options for my 25neo det My style of driving is mainly spirited runs through the hills, and potentially grip days/hill climb days down the track. Not looking for 500+kws just maximum response from 0-180 E.g hi flow 0p6, 3076, tdo6, 25-660 ect

Managed to find myself in the seat of a factory GTT through some dumb luck and a swap of my GT needs some loving all over all which doesn't bother me, so firstly I'm looking for some help in regards to the a.c control unit, it - displays time but nothing else. & is contstanly changing -None of the buttons work, at all When I turn the temp dial I can hear the a.c control inside the dash doing it's thing, When I unplug/plug the battery a little red light flashes on the front dimister button then disappears. Cooked control unit or salvageable? Also can anyone point me in the direction to buying the right size globes for the triple gauge cluster (T6.5 wedge, green preferred)

Have had a look over the forum, typing in keywords but no success, so now I'm posting up a thread. Long story short -1998 r34 coupe auto -all my electronics work inside and out of the vehicle except the gear selection panel in the dash, P,R,N,D,3,2 and the tiptronic light underneith showing current gear. (Car came like this) Blown bulbs? Blown fuse? Figure before I start taking things apart someone may have some insight.

Thank you for the honest feedback fellas, just gonna run with the C.R as it is, not like it's running 13:1. I will however still look to change the exhaust cam out As I've seen the specs it's just gross.

Yea look, im all about compression. Have +t swapped a couple NA cars without an issue....difference being they were like 1500$ shitboxes and didn't care if somthing went pop - I've just read some conflicting information alot of which on this site, most say don't do it at all, others say, do it but don't go over 10psi, and some have had good results.

Yea, I'm know. But for the sake of reliability ect, I'm looking to go down this path. Will also be trying to source a GTT exhaust cam (or aftermarket if funds permit)

Because I'm considering a DE+t conversion. But I'm not ready to strip the entire motor down to chuck in low comp forgies....

Posting in this section as the engine is currently DE. Wondering if anyone has gone down the path of lowering comp by simply adding a slightly thicker HG. I can't seem to find info on ratios for different size HG's As I'm sure we all know - De -10.1 Det- 9.1 I'm looking to get close to that ratio and yes I know there are conflicted opinions on just whacking in a thicker gasket

I agree with you 100% but to do this legally in my state (SA) I have to get it as close to GTT trim as possible firstly to pass inspection
