  1. God the conjecture over this is unbelievable, so many folk storys...! Wish i could sit down with a pit inspector for an hour and just rattle off a list of questions. (Kinda did it last time, but he wasn't too cluey anyway) blacky
  2. just a side note, would be an awesome experience to mould out a Skyline bonnet, then run off fibreglass copies... would be great for intakes, scoops, replacements. And fibreglassing is fun too!! blacky
  3. its a hard call - just resin over the top will be very brittle and probably wont be terribly strong. Other hand, laying some weave mat onto it probably wouldnt give the best finish. Ive glassed up broken bodykits before, and I got a paintable/smooth finish by mixing resin, talc powder and chopped fibre strands, then dobbing that onto the holes. Once hardened, i sanded that back smooth and it was perfect. I dont think this is an option for you though or if its even relevant but i hope it helps anyway. best of luck btw, fibreglassing is lots of fun blacky
  4. Really? I had no idea! I can't even see the stock item. blacky
  5. thanks for the response Waz, but just to clraify the intercooler piping circle is looking at the big as pipe coming up from the front left guard. Sorry if it wasnt clear!! blacky
  6. Hey guys, just going over a pic i have of my soon to arrive line's engine bay, and a few things stood out at me when i realized i didn't know what or why they were there. Some help identifying them would be great: leftmost circle: why is there rubber hose and clamps between the connector and the pipe? It looks a bit haphazard to me. Could it be to do with the radiator outlet being further left than stock, maybe due to an aftermarket item? (The little silver sticker says Calsonic) next circle: what's this pipe going into the intake plumbing? Intercooler? rightmost circle: What is it? Bit mystified, any help appreciated. Blacky
  7. Try disconnecting it and see what stops working. Worth a try! (just make sure you reconnect it before you drive off...) blacky
  8. Mine was fully loaded - gauges, blitz DSBC, t timer, HKS computer, pedals - all easy to flog stuff. Everything is still there, even after compliance... Really comes down to luck of the draw. blacky
  9. Hey Scott, to answer your question I am using Intergroup Shipping out of Melville. Its my second car through them and they have provided a pretty good service all round. No hiccups or delays this time, from roll off to tow truck in less than a week if i remember right. last car took longer but was still good. Thinking about your Mark Schuman problem - to me, this guys name has cropped up a few times in a negative light. Did you choose to go through him yourself, or did it just happen to be him that supplied to your importer?? perhaps a harsh email/fax is in order? blacky
  10. Havn't added anything to this thread for a bit, just thought i'd say mine has landed and is being complied as we speak. All gauges, boost controller, computer etc are still in the car, nothing missing and she's straight as an arrow! PHEW! blacky
  11. Check Ebay if you can mate, there are some nice alarms on there. You can get the ISO approved Australian ones like Cyclops, Black Widow or if you want to save some money you can get cheaper ones. I bought a 'cheap' Chinese unit for $50AUD delivered, and it was great. Central locking output, silent arm/disarm, immobilization, shock sensing, 100db horn, was a very good unit. (Apart from the Engrish installation manual) give it a try! Blacky.
  12. the answer is you cant! tee hee!
  13. BNSport kit Momo 'Race' steering wheel momo pedals (?) Some sort of A'Pexi electronics thing Nismo cluster HKS PowerFlow pod or copy GTR bonnet. probably wrong on something here, oh well.. blacky
  14. you're right danozgriff, the compliance workshop will give your car the equivalent of an engineers certificate to show that it complies with relevant ADR's. Theres no extra charge, its included in the compliance cost. blacky.
  15. mMine will be up in the next few days. good to see this thread started too btw.
  16. bet he's stoked now, N1 turbos... Yeah i'm reading DaiOni, and thats cool, whenever u get round to it is ok. I've had a few people have a stab at it now including J exchange students and they all think its hard to read. But they all manage to get "Rigid Spacer"! . blacky
  17. hehehe, teach the flannel wearing, beanie headed, docker-pantsed thieves a lesson.
  18. **** me! i knew it wouldnt be long, but i have to say since i became interested in 32's about 6 months ago i have only seen 3. YES 3. interesting. maybe i should sell mine!
  19. Man i was seriously thinking of selling mine about a week ago, but its just landed and now i'm stoked! But for $15k you would get a very nice GTS-t, thats what i'd sell mine for and its what you're after. Black 2 door manual, 100,000km, ex drift (Turbo, wheels, cage etc) so keep looking as I know theres a few in Perth now, so keep your eyes peeled. GL, Blacky
  20. I think this is a positive move. sure it sucks that your demerit points will be in alot more danger, but form the responses in this thread i thinkits safe to say that most of us would think twice about speeding especially in school zones., with such large punishments in place. i know i'd rather lose dollars than points. and just quickly: how disgraceful, the first thing they think of is how theyre going to make up the loss. what about the peoples lives that will potentially be saved by the changes? Why not comment more on that? my god.
  21. but, expanding on what foznice said, we're soon going to see some very overpriced 89's in the for sale section of the paper. Dont know whether to be happy or sad. blacky
  22. congrats dudes, mine arrived yesterday so its all go. yeah! we need a thread where we post the *very* first pics of our cars as we first see them, with all the goodies and shit in it! ill do it when mines ready. blacky
  23. Nice rundown, and very happy to hear youve got your blue plate, congrats. I'd jsut like to add that here in WA it seems some 89 Skyline's front belts are adequate for compliance and dont need to be replaced. I believe its the july onwards models? can others please comment, as im not too sure. blacky
  24. you cant be ****ing serious. good luck idiot.
  25. You may have probs with the engine being nonstandard, but isnt it OK if the displacement is not more than 25% over original or something? never had the experience myself but i'd say you *may*have a few probs. Best of luck tho!
